We built a very simple application to read and display records, based on specific user credentials, from our CRM, Salesforce. The entire application took only a few weeks from concept to deployment. Meanwhile, the software engineering team has spent almost a decade developing something similar from the ground up, albeit with more function and purpose. But the point is that we were able to take a high level concept and turn it in a functioning web app in the matter of weeks. Functionality can always be added/removed based on user feedback or business cases.

  • Mobile applications for our client-facing account managers. Developers without specific mobile expertise were able to leverage native device functionality, fully responsive design and offline mobile using a model-driven development approach.
  • Web-based forms for loan applications.
  • Replacement of off the shelf applications with the added benefit of needed customization for our environment.

Bizzomate has made portals that link to existing systems to provide users with the right information at the right times. Bizzomate has also combined the strengths of Mendix with Avola to create straight-through-processing applications that can help automate processes and let the business users focus on the cases where their expertise is most needed.

We developed our first application within 12 months. The main reason for the slow development was due to configure the framework from the ground up. But once you have developed your framework the ability to move extremely quick is realized quickly. Currently we are on pace to have 2 additional products out within 6-8 months.

Our financial department is considering development of an application in Mendix that will allow them bundle together disparate business systems. In my estimation, Penn's financial systems work well, but integration in a new application based on Mendix would bring them to the forefront in the university space.

1. A third-party supra-regional organisation had a critical problem with generating formal, legally-specifiied and legally-binding case-related documents relating to vulnerable children. Each sub-region had specific localised data capture and document formatting requirements. We used our front-end to Exari's DocGen application completely to eliminate this problem.

2. An international publishing concern had a compliance issue concerning valid contracts for editors across a range of publications. A new Mendix application integrated with Exari DocGen was the preferred solution.
