ICD is a powerful tool which can really improve clinical trial efficiency, quality, and consistency. However the user interface does require significant training and is often not intuitive. User training could be improved, and simpler examples.

IBM has many different functionalities as well as modules that can be used depending on what the sponsor wants. I like that they are optional so that when building a study, you can give the sponsor options if they want them or not. Many of the optional models I like to use (Training Tracking for example) as they make tracking Site training so much easier than sending training forms out.

ICD is a very good tool for collecting data. It's easy to use and easy to program for basic items. It is difficult to get specific reporting accurately, collecting regulatory documentation, and tracking payments. The company is good about implementing changes requested by the users but be aware that those changes could come with extra costs.

We would like to use the database for all clinical trials that we organize, but that is not always possible due to the sponsor decision. The sponsors very often see only the price and not the quality of the product(IBM CD)

IBM Clinical Development has lot of features but we don't use all of them. There are much more features like Source document module, site document module, medical coding module, Inventory dispensing module, etc. which might be used for pharma studies. Overall usability, I would rate it at 7 since it would be nice to have more eTMF functions.
