I currently use Method:CRM as a CRM for my freelancing business. It helps me keep track of prospect and client interactions, it connects to QuickBooks Online, and it helps with documentation management with my clients. It helps with visualizing the sales pipeline and there's even a portal for my clients to view their estimates, invoices, receipts, and more!

  • The visual appeal of the system isn't amazing.
  • Ease of use in terms of customizing the system.
From my own experience, Method:CRM is definitely good for freelancers who do not have huge budgets to work with.

  • Increase in leads.
  • Increase in sales.
  • Increase in revenue.
Method:CRM is somewhat easier to work with than Salesforce Essentials.
It's easy to use for the most part, but I'm still a little shaky on how the apps flow into one another.
They usually get back to me within minutes of starting a chat to solve any issues that I might have.

At our company, we use methods to keep track of all the potential customers that we get. We get website inquiries, leads from multiple other businesses, incoming emails, walk-ins, and phone calls. We use it for our front office staff only, as our technicians in the back have their own work order system that has been implemented with our company for years now. Where we would usually just take notes on notepads, with Method we now have a completely separate work order system for potential sales. This has been a great addition to keep all our offices in the loop. We've been able to follow up on potential sales together instead of having to take time out to figure out who talked to who and what it was about.
  • Keeps track of all interactions between any staff member and a lead
  • is customizable to many different needs
  • Customer Service is extremely responsive and easy to contact internally through Method
  • I believe there is room for improvement with scaling down on the customizing (sometimes having too much isn't always a good thing)
  • The estimate creator in Method is not as fluid as making an estimate in QB. (moving lines around, adding lines, etc.)
The cost of this product for what you get is an incredible deal. Once you focus on what you really want your Method to be, it is a great tool to have for any company that is looking to keep track of potential sales. Our front office has been amazed at how easy it was to integrate into our daily routine - sometimes change is hard, but with a couple of meetings and putting our heads together for what it was that we specifically wanted, We are loving it.
OH! And since our company uses Google Calendar for our scheduling system this has been a literal LIFE CHANGER.

  • We can keep track of potential sales as a team
  • Its a learning curve and take a bit of time to fine tune to our needs
We chose Method over Salesforce because we felt as though they were not tailored to our size of the company and our specific needs overall. They offered many things that we found very appealing but at the end of the day, we knew that with most importantly we needed a CRM to integrate with our accounting software more than anything else.
It's been a couple of months now and we're getting our Method interface fine-tuned and it is suiting our needs very well. We've found that there are multiple ways you can use this program but as long as you keep your team on the same page and make sure that everyone is using the same process- everything is fluid.
The Customer Support of this app is fantastic. If you ever have any questions they are there to answer you or fix whatever issue that you are having. The FAQ pages are also extremely helpful when you want to learn about the more in-depth qualities this program has to offer.

Method:CRM is used across the company. The sales team uses it for lead tracking, the scheduling department uses it to schedule out technicians and equipment. The accounts receivable department uses it to generate work orders and invoices. Everything is managed through Method. It is used everyday and is what keeps the business moving smoothly.
  • Methods integration team was very helpful in getting us set up.
  • Their account management team is great at keeping in touch
  • If you need something created, they have a highly skilled team to help it become a reality.
  • The back end is a little confusing, especially if you are not in it every day.
  • Better self help documents would be a plus.
  • Having to switch/download different programs to generate or create reports or documents is not appealing.
This is a difficult question as we implemented it years ago. I think it is pretty much a very easily adaptable program to any business. It seems that the people who work for Method are able to think outside the box and come up with solutions that fit your individual needs.
  • Integrates well with Quick-books
  • More efficient on scheduling out equipment
  • Negative- it needs to have better customer management, this area is lacking
  • ConnectWise
Connectwise was a great product it was just not cost effective for our company. We actually really liked how Connectwise worked, it was just WAY too expensive.
We have spent so much time in getting Method to be the system we need it to be. It would not be cost effective to scrap the current system and start fresh.
  • Implemented in-house
No
  • Learning the back end
  • Getting it to work with Quick-books
  • Training the staff how to use it.
Be available to learn! There is a huge learning curve to this program. You have to be willing to take it all in. Be available to the Method expert and be patient.
No
We did in the set up phase, but not now in maintenance. We just use it as needed. To buy into the maintenance plan was not cost effective as we did not think we would utilize it enough. The set up was done so well that I am able to manage it pretty well on my own.
They are very quick to respond and figure out solutions. They are prompt, polite and well versed in the product. They really put a lot of thought in to how the system can be manipulated to better serve me.
No
During the set up phase. They worked very hard on getting my Work order to be exactly what we needed. They helped to be sure that it would pull the correct information from other areas of the program with out double entry. They made sure I understood how it worked so I would be able to edit as needed.
