Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is the trusted office suite used by our small, family-owned business. It is, in my opinion, the industry standard for SOHO documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases. With Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), I am able to purchase and install the necessary software on a number of computers within our organization. I primarily use Word and Excel on a daily basis. My brother does more presentations to clients and uses PowerPoint and Access Databases daily. I have tried other free options, including Google Docs and Open Office, but keep coming back to the reliability and compatibility of Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365).
  • Word for Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) gives a consistent user experience with all of the features you've come to expect from document software.
  • The online Microsoft account gives me a quick and easy way to manage and renew my Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) account. The current and available number of shares is clearly displayed and incredibly easy to manage. I feel that this feature is one of the best things about Microsoft 365 when trying to deploy to multiple computers without breaking the bank.
  • I love the fact that Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) allows me to automatically save to the cloud. Between Google Drive and Dropbox, I used to feel like I wasted hours each week transferring documents for others in my company to view (we are located across four different locations). With Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and OneDrive, my files are automatically saved to the cloud and I don't have to worry about them.
  • I run Microsoft Windows 10 on my laptop and Android on my phone. Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and my Microsoft account make logging into my computer and accounts quick and secure. With the Microsoft Authenticator app for Android, I am able to verify my login attempts using my fingerprint and two-factor authentication. An added bonus is the ability to add other third-party apps to the MS Authenticator app so that all of my login verification happens in one spot.
  • One thing that has changed from MS Office of the past is that the shortcuts for the different programs are not grouped together in the start menu. Not a huge deal, but I preferred all of them under one MS Office folder.
  • Word still has the formatting issues where pages blow up in strange ways when trying to add and place photos with text. Nothing new here, but it still hasn't gotten much better.
I feel that the price of Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) makes it a perfect fit for small businesses that require reliable document, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software for the casual user. The fact that it can be shared to five users even allows it to be used at home where the cost may not have been worthwhile in the past. Using other free programs may be fine, but my experience shows that Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is well worth the price for true compatibility with other businesses and organizations.

Microsoft 365 is used across our organization. The most frequently used apps are Outlook, Excel and Word. Teams is also used heavily among the technology business. PowerPoint is used throughout the organization, as well. Communication, collaboration, analysis, documentation and presentation are all covered with the suite of Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Microsoft 365 is the standard office solution at every company I've worked for.
  • Familiarity goes a long way. Not having to learn the nuances of a different spread sheet or word processor app saves time and effort.
  • Microsoft Teams really ties the suite together with it being a central point of collaboration and sharing.
  • There are some real helpful features within Word and Excel that are buried very deep. It's a double-edged sword. It's great to have this depth of functionality, but these features are so well hidden, that they are practically undiscoverable unless a guru shows you or you want to spend time reading a technical manual on Word or Excel.
  • Teams is great for collaboration, but can also become unwieldy. It becomes difficult to keep track of all pertinent communications across many teams, channels and threads.
I truly think it's suited for all businesses. The apps have been around and evolved for years. Microsoft 365 is the tried and true office suite of apps. So many people are familiar with these apps and choosing anything else will just mean most employees will need to expend a learning curve to get ramped up.

Our entire organization uses Microsoft 365. It is our primary form of communication and content creation. It is used for email communication, schedule management, Virtual Meetings, individual and group chats.
It's used for collaboration and creation. It helps address accessibility issues with documents created and fixes the need for schedule coordination and so much more.
  • Scheduling, Calendars & Emails.
  • Simple WYSISWYG Formatting and Design
  • Accessibility Reviewer and Tips built in
  • Intuitive for basic use
  • Shortcuts!
  • Lacks Menu/Display Format Configurations- It would be nice to pin buttons or have them float as needed to remove repetitive mouse movements. (The Quick Access Toolbar is at the top which is a LOT of mouse movement for something in the middle... so not particularly quick).
  • The Size and Picture/Object Menus used to attach to the side so you had a full menu of options and they appear to have returned to pop outs only. SO frustrating when I am doing a similar function on a lot of objects and have to reopen the menu every time.
  • The floating/appears when selected menus. They're good for clutter purposes, but again I would like the menu to also be able [to] stay if I want or need it to (which was something the right side bar had solved. Perhaps it's glitching for me and will return?)
  • Forms - It would be nice if they had more form/survey functionality in Word.
  • Microsoft Forms has limited question functionality.
  • Access is not fun, it glitches a lot. I don't use it (I used to a few years ago perhaps they improved).
  • Teams - Really needs more customization visually, but is making improvements. It's still not a great training site if you like in depth detailed interactions, but works great for basic meets and trainings.
  • The white on white menus are hard to see/identify sometimes. I'd like a bit more contrast.
It really does a great job for basic every day use documents, emails, charts, data, chats, and communications. Where it lacks is in depth [of] customizable uses. It lacks in use for in depth creation as well. That being said, it is what I have had access to (the Microsoft Suite) for years and years and you can do just about anything in it if you want to invest the time.

We use [Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] across the whole organization. We deployed it a little over 7 years ago. The complexity of managing on site Exchange systems for a small business prompted the initial investigation into the solution. The second biggest factor was both the cost to obtain copies of Office, and the disparity of installed Office versions.

By adopting [Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] we eased the burden of on site Exchange management, and were finally able to standardize on a version of Office across the entire organization. It also enabled us to stay current with new releases of Office.
  • Manages and maintains the solutions with minimal outages or downtime
  • Provides regular updates and releases to enhance benefits derived from applications
  • Reduces the long-term costs incurred by adopting alternatives to their offerings
  • Provides access to a broader spectrum of useful applications as part of the subscription
  • Better reviews of included applications to inform decisions for possible uses
  • Plans that afford more flexibility to mix and match apps you would like included
  • Improvements to file sharing features in both OneDrive and Sharepoint
I hesitate to give a maximum rating for goods or services because there is always room for improvement, right. However, in my experience with [Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] I think it deserves the rating. The issues we have had with it have been few, and always resolved to our satisfaction. For a small business with limited staff and resources, this solution is indispensable. Perhaps a large enterprise with an adequate IT department would be better served by solutions managed in house, but considering what [Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] includes, it seems unlikely even for such organizations.

[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is being used by the whole organization. It is our solution that is used for email, word processing, data-sheets, web-conferencing, team chatting, some storage.
  • Availability to use everywhere
  • Use on mobile devices
  • Collaboration
  • Integration with other software
  • Security Updates
  • Ease of Use
  • Synchronization
[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is well suited for organizations that work together on projects because of its many collaboration features.

If you are only in need a word processing program Office 365 would be overkill.

It is being used by whole organization. We use it as our main collaboration platform. It consolidates all the information silos providing an all-in-one approach with Teams [that] permits the collaboration with files/video and also external integration with popular and extended used apps like Trello, Polly, Google Forms, Wikipedia, etc. or internal apps like forms or planner.
  • Offimatic Suite
  • Team Collaboration
  • File Sharing
  • File Sharing permissions for external users (granularity)
  • Better Interface for Video Conference
  • Online-Offline Syncing
It is well suited for team collaboration in whole organization avoiding information silos. As an IM platform (Kaizala or Teams Chat) with enterprise features also as a V-Conferencing entry system when you don't have any Video Conference Room. It is not appropriate as a PBX replacement because it has a complex and also expensive architecture.

We utilize Microsoft 365 across our entire organization. We use Exchange Online for email, the entire Office suite, Microsoft Teams for office communication, and SharePoint Online for collaboration. Microsoft 365 helps us stay organized and on-top of our projects and clients. It makes things very easy to have so many features within a single ecosystem.
  • Exchange Online is an excellent email platform. We have only had minor issues with the platform. It is very nice to not have to worry about patching an Exchange server.
  • Teams is a wonderful tool for inter-office communication. Teams is also a top-notch video conferencing/meeting tool. We are able to invite our client to Teams meetings and everything just works.
  • SharePoint online is an awesome collaboration tool. It makes it very easy to share and update documents between the entire staff.
  • The Microsoft Admin center tends to be slow and unresponsive at times. If I create a Distribution List via the Admin Center, sometimes it takes a couple of hours before the DL shows up and is usable.
  • SharePoint Online needs a better File Explorer Sync option. We have had multiple clients inadvertently delete multiple files from SharePoint due to a malfunction in the Sync program.
  • I think that SharePoint Online needs to add an option to use custom CNAME records to access resources.
Microsoft 365 is a one-stop shop for all of your business needs. The ecosystem is very robust and they are constantly adding features. With SharePoint Online and OneDrive, you always have access to your files no matter where you are. The current Outlook Web app is just as robust as the Outlook Client.

We use Microsoft [365 (formerly Office 365)] for just about everything. Email, note taking, presentations, collaboration, meetings, fuse sharing and storage, etc. our entire ability to work and be productive is based on Microsoft [365 (formerly Office 365)]. The cloud storage feature is what really makes it powerful for an organization that has employees spread out over a variety of physical locations.
  • Collaboration (via Teams)
  • Cloud storage
  • Single sign on
  • There’s no great way for project management/tracking
  • Outlook’s redesigned layout isn’t the most user friendly
  • Switching screens you’re sharing in a Teams meeting is a pain
Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] has been absolutely huge for our organization over the past year. With many people working remotely or in various physical locations, Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] cloud based functionality made it easy to collaborate with other team members or access your work from multiple devices wherever you are located.

[Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is central to all our business processes, starting with email (Outlook), shared calendars, to-do lists, communicating (Teams), creating documents (Word), training (Stream), appointments (Booking), and more. Teams is great for integrating virtual assistants including messaging, file sharing, and video calling. Booking allows clients to setup their own appointments complete with automated reminders and meeting links.
  • Booking might be my favorite to save time with phone tag, reminders, meeting setup.
  • Stream is really cool in that it transcribes the audio in video recordings for text search.
  • Also like all the granular control of sharing in order to protect privacy and security.
  • Secure email sending is very cumbersome to persons outside the organization.
  • So many controls/options that setup can be confusing.
  • There can be software glitches but usually due to 3rd party add-ons.
I think [Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)] is a particularly good value to small businesses as pricing is per user yet gives access to many high-end features. It would also be well suited for companies with remote users as it's all in the cloud. While all the capability and options can be confusing, at least you don't need to dedicate staff to run a server and they do offer support if needed.

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is being used across the entire organization. We use email, excel, word, powerpoint, teams, and onedrive. IT addresses the most basic to most complicated business problems. We can send a simple email, chat and share our screen with teams, or share files securely with onedrive.
  • Email
  • Chat
  • Share FIles
  • Data Manipulation
  • Presentation
  • Teams needs improvement
  • Outlook crashes occasionally
  • OneDrive could be simplified
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is well suited for virtually anything you need to do across the business. Need to send an email? Need to export some data into a spreadsheet? Need to chat with a colleague in a different country? All that and more can be done with 365. Not many scenarios where it's less appropriate.

Microsoft 365 is the most important software in our organization as it is for almost every other organization in the world. We are using Microsoft 365 for many of our routine tasks including Outlook for emailing, Excel for data inputs and related updates, Word for routine write ups, OneDrive for storage purposes and there are many more other available tools for multitasking purposes. We are using Microsoft 365 in our whole organization.
  • Online availability of all your work for mobility
  • Collaborative working is easy
  • All required tools at one place
  • The price is high
I would recommend Microsoft 365 to everyone as it has multiple features available with everyday use of all professional and personal tools.

We use it for our entire company email system, both individual users and shared accounts. We utilize instant messaging with Teams and our VOIP phone system through Teams calling. We use Sharepoint online to a limited extent and everyone uses One Drive for Business for their files.
  • Email implementation. Microsoft 365 is easily the best cloud email provider and it is vastly cheaper and easier than implementing Exchange directly.
  • Retention. Setting up retention and deletion policies to maintain data on the backend is remarkably easy in Microsoft 365.
  • The Office 365 suite you get with licensing is still the best office productivity software around.
  • Teams VOIP is missing lots of features and clunky. No functionality for shared voicemailboxes is an especially glaring omission.
  • Teams still needs improvement. Administration of chat and policies is still incredibly clunky and external users who need to connect to meetings are often not a smooth process. It also can be a bit buggy with microphones and application freezing.
  • Streams is terrible. You cannot administrate it in bulk in any way, external users cannot access videos and it's the mandatory way Teams meetings are recorded.
  • It simply cannot be matched for business and enterprise-level email. The price is very reasonable for getting Exchange you don't have to administer and the entire Office suite. It's still miles better than Google's business email services as well.
  • If you don't need Office or are simply looking for a company chat program. The financials don't make nearly as much sense and Teams is nowhere near as well made as something like Slack for messaging only capabilities.

Our whole organization uses Microsoft 365. It is the be-all end-all for our organization. We make extensive use of SharePoint, Teams, the office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Access DB, and Outlook. It's a phenomenal tool and extremely well integrated. Within our department, we communicate constantly on the Teams platform and we are always sharing files or editing synchronously in documents or workbooks.
  • Fully integrated
  • Easy to learn
  • Almost any feature you can imagine
  • Extensive support
  • Clean design and use
  • The Outlook calendar feature is outdated compared to Teams.
  • Integrating Outlook and Teams would be a useful idea.
  • Excel online isn't nearly as functional as the desktop version.
I literally cannot think of any product that comes close to competing with Office 365. I know that Google (GSuite for business) tries to compete, but the desktop versions are so robust that there's nothing, in my mind, that comes even close. I think that MS 365 is its own competitor.

While I cannot speak for the legal services team, I've used MS 365 Word, Excel and PowerPoint at various times during my tenure at Brotman Law as the content manager (marketing) as well as at my home office where I occasionally do freelance work. It's been useful for writing and editing copy, creating presentation decks and creating spreadsheets to pull information from to use for projects such as creating mailing labels and adding to the contacts list in our HubSpot CRM.
  • Microsoft Word is great for correspondence, tables, calendars, and easily converts documents to PDF format.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint can help you design beautiful presentation slide decks, for both standard and wide screen.
  • Microsoft Excel can organize data that can be used in a wide variety of applications such as product pricing spreadsheets.
  • Using Microsoft Word for detailed layouts (like those done in InDesign) is difficult in that importing images and creating layers feels "clunky."
As a graphic designer and copywriter, my usual go-tos are Adobe applications. However, many of my colleagues and clients do not have this software, so I often use Microsoft 365 as a means to communicate to people using both Macs and PCs. As I've mentioned before, I think Microsoft Word is terrific, but my experience using it to create collateral materials such as multi-page brochures has had varied results.

Microsoft 365 is being used across the whole organization. It serves as the backbone of our communication channels and currently addresses the issue of software disconnect as all the productivity software are under one roof and easier to manage. Instead of having to deal with 10 different vendors and proprietary software, we just have to manage one productivity suite that provides good security.
  • Microsoft provides several layers of security with Microsoft 365.
  • Ease of access and user-friendliness are two key factors in increased productivity.
  • Seamless data flow between the different applications in the same platform also increases productivity.
  • Microsoft could improve its platform even further by consolidating information on security bulletins into one platform. Currently, data is spread across different websites.
  • Microsoft could improve its security posture even more.
  • Although improving now, Microsoft should make the subscription tiers simpler and easier to understand.
There is no other company that can compete with Microsoft 365. It has become the business gold standard and it just keeps getting better. Microsoft 365 is well suited in all types of business from large multinational corporations to small businesses. However, I believe that they need to adjust or scale the pricing for personal users because it might be too expensive for some and would be less appropriate.

In 2019, we replaced our on-premise email servers, SharePoint servers, and file servers with Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)].
We also started to use Teams, Streams, and Microsoft eDiscovery.
Everyone uses Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] in my company.
  • Intune that manages the endpoint data security cheaply
  • Build-in eDiscovery that manages user data's legal hold and search
  • Many tools such as Forms, Flow, and Power Platform for automation
  • Enable Teams to make phone calls without any 3rd party vendor support
  • Provide application data backup
Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] is great for small businesses that do not have enough IT resources but want to have world-class IT services.
Of course, this is still a Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)]. Apple and Linux users will have challenges utilizing all the features in Microsoft 365.

Microsoft Office 365 is used company-wide. Office desktop wasn't the best solution in these times where remote & mobile working is common and requested. Office 365 and it's mobile and cloud solutions solved these issues. Now, every employee across the whole company can access Office applications and files from their mobile phone or any PC/laptop. Communication and efficiency definitely improved, as files are available and able to be modified by anyone with access rights.
  • Online offer of its applications.
  • Applications are available on mobile phones and tablets, not just laptops.
  • Sync between devices works perfectly.
  • Pricing
  • Constant need of internet access.
  • Some applications are not 100% friendly with mobile phones.
Office 365 is definitely well suited both for work and personal use. After its deployment in the whole company, employees can also benefit from this set of applications for personal use as well. In the work environment, Office 365 helped with file administration and communication within departments, implicating users in the responsible use of data.

Microsoft 365 is being used across the whole organization. It address the need to share documents in one place so that others can create, review and edit. It also created an online meeting platform which was a necessity in 2020 and beyond. Microsoft Teams has been an instrumental tool for our staff members not to mention the features that Word and Excel have to offer.
  • Collaboration between not only departments but staff members individually.
  • Helpful and useful software tools.
  • Scheduling in one singular location.
  • A dashboard easily accessible for teams.
  • PDF functionality without having to purchase other software.
  • Various versions of the software to have the same features and layout.
Microsoft 365 is well suited for people who need word processing software, email, spreadsheets, databases all in one place that is user friendly and relatively easy for the average person to use. Microsoft 365 is being used across all the organization for several aspects: Emails, Teams for collaboration, OneDrive for personal files and SharePoint for the intranet and document management. It allows to broadcast information to a large audience (SharePoint communication sites), collaborate within departments, committees and common projects (using Teams), store files (SP and OneDrive) and support specific business processes using solutions built on SharePoint.
  • Integration.
  • It dominates the industry in office solutions.
  • Large spectrum of solutions and toolboxes to build your own.
  • Affordable to any company size.
  • Compared to niche products, some 365 apps don't have as many features.
  • Can be confusing to adopt the full suite without professional help.
  • Licensing is extremely difficult to understand when you have specific needs.
365 is the workhouse for any office need: files, communications, collaboration, information and business process support.
  • If you need an intranet, use SharePoint Online within 365 to quickly build a beautiful site without much technical knowledge.
  • If you need to collaborate on department, projects, committees and even on processes, use Teams within 365. It also gives you access to the best collaboration tools such as Planner to manage tasks and OneNote to have a common notebook.
  • If you need to gather a community, use Yammer (or Teams) within 365.
  • If you need to support a specific business process (like contract management or HR employee files), build a custom SharePoint site with its broad spectrum toolbox (from the simplest to the most complex).
  • If you need to store personal documents, use OneDrive.

Microsoft 365 is being used throughout the organization. I currently use it to uncover insights from data through charts, graphs, tables and tools within Excel to demonstrate trends and key areas of focus for the business.
  • Easy to use
  • Great for summarizing data
  • Great for analytics through charts, graphs, tables in Excel
  • I have found that using shared files on Teams can sometimes lead to changes not syncing
  • I have experienced several times where Excel crashes and I lose my data
  • Would like to have automated email or team notifications when a file is posted or updated on teams
I would definitely recommend Microsoft 365 to colleagues. It is easy to use, can help businesses store and analyze data through Excel by reducing manual effort through formula capabilities. My suggestions for improvement would be more integration of office apps into teams as well as notifications on updated and newly posted files.

Microsoft 365 is used throughout our organisation, particularly in the finance department. In finance we use Excel very regularly for all our cost models and investment appraisals. We also use Word document for our financial reporting to companies house. Most commonly used feature/product in our company is Outlook, for emails. Outlook not only allows us to communicate electronically it also allows instant access to book meetings, set reminders and view calendar of events.
  • Excel allows great data manipualtion
  • Outlook is a great communication tool
  • Word is great for business letters
  • Outlook crashes far too often
  • A more basic less gimmicky design of Outlook would be usefull
  • Video call option from emails would be a useful tool
Microsoft 365 is the best business tool available. It provides great variety of products which can assist a business in every way possible. Excel for instance allows for great data manipulation, if you enter raw data into excel you are able to create tables, graphs, and use formulas to workout different scenarios, etc.

We use Microsoft 365 across the entire organization. We have been a long term user of Microsoft products. In the past, we have purchased the CD version when a new computer was acquired. A few years ago, when we were transitioning equipment, we chose to use the cloud version. We felt that the cloud version was a good choice because we were continually updated with the most current version of the different software applications. We did not have to worry about our software be coming out of date. Also, we appreciated that Microsoft was adding new capabilities to help with teaming and collaboration.
  • Exchange email service works well.
  • Good to have access to traditional office applications.
  • Back up in the cloud.
  • Teaming applications are available, but not to sure how to use.
  • Not sure when an application like LinkedIn is a personal, team or company solution.
  • Sometimes defaults to cloud, when you would prefer to stay on your device.
For people who are traditional Microsoft users, Microsoft 365 allows you to maintain access to the applications that you have always used in an format where they are kept up to date. One of the risks of purchasing the package as a one time item is that it goes out of date. With Microsoft 365 you no longer have to worry about your applications going out to date.

New applications are rolled out sometimes with clear guidance as to how to use them. While the newer applications or enhancement to solutions like SKYPE or Teams are available, you are never quite sure how much access users outside of your well defined group will have. So, it's sometimes a default to use a third party solution like Zoom, even though you may have concerns.

  • Connection to cloud slowing operation
  • Too much space taken by the tools
Good use for creating basic documents, but needs improvement for more complex files

We are currently using Microsoft 365 across our enterprise. It addresses the issue of having OEM/Retail/Volume versions across the organization. Additionally, it allows us to better manage licensing, deployments and access to products that were previously more difficult for us to deploy and manage.
  • Portal management of products and licensing.
  • Uniform platform to deploy products.
  • Easy to use and intuitive portal.
  • Access to support is clumsy and tedius.
  • When assigning access to products, you need to be aware of what is checked. Assumptions are made for you and they aren't always right.
  • Data privacy & security threat concerns, especially if you do business with the government. you'll have to consider being in the FedRamp space.
Well suited for companies that wish to manage their Office products from a single pane of glass. When you take advantage of the full product to include hosted exchange, you also get some additional security tools to help manage your risks. It's nice to have the same version to deploy vs having to keep up with volume licensing and that horrible portal.

We use Microsoft 365 as our standard productivity and communication application for the whole organization. We use Outlook for email and Word, Powerpoint, and Excel as needed to prepare documents for winning new business and managing existing business. We use Teams for internal and external communications. And we use Planner as our internal project/task tracking tool.
  • Outlook is a great email application. We have the client tool for our laptops, but use the cloud version for mobile devices.
  • Teams is a great live, audio and document sharing tool.
  • SharePoint is a great collaboration, document management tool.
  • MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint allows us to document, share, and report information.
  • Planner is a great tool for simple small project or task tracking.
  • Planner definitely could have more features to compete against Asana, Monday, and Airtable
  • Teams could be a little more visually pleasing and have a simpler interface
  • Outlook client and OWA could have a more similar interface to make transitioning between the two and maintaining folders and information easier.
I really don't think there is any other solution that can beat MS 365. All the tools are integrated and maintained well at a ridiculously affordable price point. I've worked at much larger organizations (100,000) and it works well there too. Teams, SharePoint, Planner, and OneDrive integrated with the original Office Suite of Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook is just really hard to beat. Personally, I would say impossible to beat at the price point offered by Microsoft.
