  • Email communication - super easy to communicate via email and manage inbox.
  • Calendar - easy to schedule meetings and find common times when everyone is available via Outlook calendar since everyone in the organization uses it.
  • Microsoft Teams for Chat - quick questions, Video Chat / meetings, syncing with SharePoint - these are all very helpful!

  • we pay for our subscription monthly so the investment seems more manageable than yearly
  • less interaction with updates on individual applications
  • very little downtime if applications do have issues because the web version of the application functions admirably

  • Reduce software and hardware costs by paying for app and features we need
  • No need to buy additional software such as firewall, antivirus, and system backup
  • Purchase the required license according to the number of users and save costs

  • It often has a negative impact in that it costs me hours of my time trying to resolve issues that either shouldn't happen in the first place, or when they do, are complicated to resolve. It costs me precious hours of my life that I'll never get back, not to mentino the stress.

  • It removes the obsolescence that previously existed in buying desktop installed software.
  • It is universally used and easy to share data.
  • Like much software these days, it doesn’t seem to have been designed with the user in mind.

  • The ability to utilize Macros & VBA coding in Excel was instrumental in allowing the company to calculate and monitor buy down of equipment in the field (previously not done) so a significant return on investment was gained.
  • Use of Excel streamlined and semi-automated the process of uploading equipment in the field data into our SAP system saving significant man-hours incurred by previously using a manual process.
  • PowerPoint was the default application for department presentations and sales enablement materials. The ease of use resulted in lower creation and editing costs.

  • Simplifies installation on multiple computers.
  • Works well in situations where you can't install Office but need the ability to use it.
  • Only downside is that the license is a subscription and needs to be paid annually.
  • Low upfront cost vs. purchasing the office license outright.

  • Our needs changed recently, and we moved to the monthly subscription, which allowed us the flexibility of adding and removing licenses on month by month basis.
  • The yearly cost started a little higher than our previous method of hosted Exchange and traditional installations used for many years. But the upside is being current, access to cloud resources, and being more secure. In the end, though, we ended up downsizing, and being able to reduce licenses ended up saving us many in the long run.

  • Specifically, we had an increase of cost per email account from the old provider (using Exchange 2010), but we also suffered immense amounts of downtime - hours or even days sometimes. That's a negative ROI when your down.
  • Switching from the purchase of desktop licensing for an organization with 30 desks saved significant money. At almost 400 per desktop license vs 12.50 per account - AND we get the latest versions forever - for software employed everyday - very high ROI for sure!

  • Use of the Microsoft Office 365 has saved us a lot of time and money because of its ease of use and the interconnected nature of its apps
  • We also save money on graphic design, as Microsoft Office 365 has some pretty professional level graphic design capabilities included in some of the most popular of its apps

Office Where You Need It

  • I have been able to complete an important proposal while away from my main computer that I left at home. I logged into the machine within my office at work and was able to continue my work on the presentation with confidence. My proposal was well received that night, and I would not have been able to do so without access to Office 365.
  • Incorporating Microsoft Office 365 into the workflow for a departmental group I belong to has been a breeze. We switched from a free platform to Microsoft Office 365 for our meeting notes and reports, and it has been much easier identifying changes and passing this information on to other colleagues with the enhanced presentation options afforded by this software.
  • Since implementing Microsoft Office 365 in workshops for professional development, I have seen a reduction in the number of technical questions I receive. I previously saw at least three to five questions each time I introduced a task for groups to complete collaboratively, but, with Microsoft Office 365, I have not yet received any questions during the last two trainings I have conducted.
