Maintaining different user's mailbox's was difficult in the past now that the Microsoft Exchange online comes with robust 99.9% uptime with Outlook with office 365 bundle we all can sync all our emails files everything anywhere any device with just one login. Where I manage user's in my project and its pricing is very flexible per user per month like subscription so any user leaving or joining the project can be easily scaled.
  • robust uptime for all apps including outlook one drive with email protection filtering and anti- spam subscriptions
  • integration with Mac and Linux can be improved
In my production environment we manage a very big client and its user's use Office 365 so from an admin perspective the dashboard is robust and where we manage user's lost file backup's and any issue's with adding or removing user's form directory using Office 365.

Outside the production environment we use Microsoft Exchange everyday. Its email functionality with integrated calendar and Teams or Webex meeting scheduling add-in's and calender updates whenever there is a meeting prior to be more productive. Great integration features.

For many years, we used Microsoft Exchange to collect and manage all incoming and outgoing e-mails in the institutions I worked for. We now use Exchange 2016 with over 1000 mailboxes and various databases on-premises. In general, our institutions are satisfied with this product, it is a very useful tool for using and managing mail systems with Microsoft Exchange product.
  • Strong community support for Microsoft group's Exchange product.
  • Microsoft Exchange The product is very easy to install and deploy.
  • Microsoft Exchange is user-friendly and options like send and receive connectors or mail flow are uncomplicated.
  • In general, I think that supplier or business partner relations should be developed.
  • Efforts should be continued to increase the internal and operational efficiency of the group.
  • International Compliance and risk management should continue to be improved.
You can use Microsoft Exchange Server with peace of mind for e-mail, calendar, communication, scheduling, and collaboration services. Microsoft's Exchange Server is a product designed to provide users with access to the messaging platform from mobile devices, desktops, and web-based systems. Telephony features in Exchange Server support voicemail. Exchange Server successfully offers high availability service with Microsoft Exchange Database availability groups.

Our company's preferred method of corporate communication is Microsoft Exchange. It can be used on both mobile devices and personal computers because of its multi-media capability. It assures that all of our communications, whether internal and external, are safe and uninterruptible. Using Microsoft Exchange, the whole institution's communication may be managed from a single location.
  • Thanks to group e-mail, you don't require project stakeholders' contact details. Project managers may quickly give comments and information by e-mailing that group.
  • It simplifies mailbox management.
  • Favorite feature: calendar. This function shows which meeting rooms are vacant or full. Meetings are easy to organize.
  • In grouped emails, you can't limit the list when you open it.
  • Slow page loads. Needs work.
  • Email synchronization can be sluggish, and there's no permanent solution.
Sending and receiving emails, as well as keeping track of them, is a breeze with this software. It's a fantastic tool for organizing meetings, sending out group emails, and setting up appointments. It's a tool that's ideal for organizations with a high number of projects and employees to use. As a result, small firms are able to take use of it with little difficulty. The product's various features and user-friendly interface make it a product that can be utilized by everyone.

When setting up a meeting or calendar sharing to see when other members are free or available, we utilize Microsoft Exchange for our daily work email. Also, we use it to keep track of our project-related discussions and to exchange papers with other members of the company. If you're looking for a way to get to know other members of the community, Microsoft Exchange is a fantastic place to start. It saves a lot of paper since you don't have to print everything, and the information is easy to access.
  • Supporting devices can be simply connected
  • The product is Outlook-friendly
  • Microsoft Exchange streamlines communication across Microsoft-based programs and devices
  • It only works with Microsoft products. Google applications are more generic. Oracle Linux is better.
  • Recent changes aren't trustworthy, and many email issues aren't fixable
  • Real-time connectivity requires a server
For our clients, the switch to an entirely independent (parallel processing) Microsoft Exchange Server was a lifesaver because previous software versions frequently crashed. The clever viva add-on informs me of any things that are still uncompleted in my large email to-do lists. Migrating to Office 365 has never been easier because to the meticulous preparation that has gone into it. Web applications will load more quickly.

We use Microsoft Exchange to contact our end customers and providers daily, then it is an essential tool for us to keep the communication up to date. Some day we decided to migrate from Exchange to Exchange Online because it seems to be more accessible for the end-users but it didn't work, the users were able to enter the mailbox but all the email subfolders were gone, disappeared, it wasn't there anymore, then all the users got concerned because some of them use to have more than 10 subfolders to organize their emails (customers, providers, warranties, contracts, etc.), we tried to execute a script to migrate the accounts including the subfolders but it didn't work, then they switched back to Exchange On-Premise.
  • Ease of use.
  • Clear interface.
  • Easy integration between desktop and mobile devices.
  • Wizard to migrate a mailbox from Exchange to Exchange Online keeping subfolders.
  • Wizard configuring a Microsoft 365 mailbox in a mobile device.
  • The Online version has not had the same options for customizing the interface as On-Premise.
I think Microsoft Exchange is well suited when you can set your customized subfolders for one or more mailboxes, it is a very clear interface for end-users and it makes easy email management. The native integration with Teams and calendar is so good because at least 50% of our customers use Microsoft Teams for meetings, then we don't need to create a specific event in another calendar (like Google) to schedule the meeting. The interface is very customizable to make it more friendly for the end-user. I think Microsoft Exchange is less appropriate when you need to configure a new email account and doesn't have some technical knowledge. It is also a problem when you need to integrate a plugin (like Google Calendar) to connect to other platforms because most cases it becomes a very slow performance of Exchange, then you need to uninstall the plugin.

A more formal means of communication. Search for contacts and previous emails in a simple way. It adapts to your work style so that you improve your productivity. You will have your emails, calendars, and contact information. A calendar system that goes beyond the classic programming. You can capture mail events.
  • Email is accessed not downloaded or stored on the device
  • Allows access to email whatever it is
  • It allows us unlimited calendar storage
  • Poor integration with traditional applications
Agendas and viewing in parallel. Access even if we are not connected to the server, copies of email and calendar elements are preserved, and all maintenance is carried out free of charge. Tools that greatly facilitate the work. Use of servers that support a considerable volume of data. Fully optimizes collaboration and data transfer.

  • Archiving older emails
  • Configuring mail apps on phones could be less hands on

Within my organization, we use the Microsoft Exchange Server Outlook Web Access. For the most part, I have not run into any business problems with the amount of usage I may experience. I use Microsoft Exchange for connecting with other clients through Gmail, Yahoo, and other accounts also use Outlook to set up meetings and update my status.
  • Disable new Outlook for Windows
  • Manage Recipients
  • Mobile Access for shared content
For about two years my company has been using Microsoft Office 365. I believe it has helped out a lot with communication amongst the company. While working within the 365 platforms in Outlook we are able to manage cross-team projects better. Also, we have been able to use Yammer in order to improve company-wide communications.

We use Microsoft Exchange for all our employees, at our organization level as well as the client level. Our clients usually have remote VMs with different mailboxes, most of which also use Microsoft Exchange as the primary tool to manage all work needs. It is an excellent tool to work remotely, having an in-built calendar that helps with scheduling appointments and meetings and makes sure you do not miss any of them. The calendar is also well-organized to keep your daily schedule in check. The mailboxes themselves are feature-packed with the security and efficiency that comes with a brand name like Microsoft. I love the filtering and search option which lets you sort through your emails to find the most relevant ones. Working in a remote team that manages several applications, I get hundreds of emails daily that can be hard to navigate through to find the ones relevant to myself, but the Exchange sort/search feature makes it pretty easy. It can also look through deleted emails, which is a lifesaver. The storage issue is also not a bother. We also integrate it with O365, which gives you access to hundreds of more features with the entire Office bundle of applications, all over the cloud. Attaching and editing documents within the mailboxes itself saves a lot of time.
  • An in-built calendar to manage your daily work schedule. Let's you create events, invite a particular group of people, accept invitations, and remind you of your upcoming meetings and tasks.
  • I also like the daily emails we get from Exchange that ask you to set aside time for yourself or your other hobbies to take a short break from monotonous work.
  • The email categorization feature is pretty good, especially the sort/search filtering option to navigate through your emails, which can also go through your deleted emails.
  • It has an excellent spam-filtering feature which greatly reduces the chance of malware and spam. I have hardly seen spam emails get through their filter. On the other hand, it also recognizes emails from external organizations that may be spam, but are important work emails.
  • I wish there are more options in the email filters. For example, I have been unable to find a way to look for emails from a particular date without scrolling through all the emails containing particular keywords.
  • Third-party application integration isn't very well developed. It could have been a great option to widen the scope of usage for Exchange.
  • The UI is fine, but it could be a bit more robust and intuitive. Pop-ups and dialog boxes especially have poor design, which reduces the user experience.
Microsoft Exchange is one of the best options for an integrated email platform with O365 integration because no one does Office integrations like Microsoft. It is also relatively inexpensive for large organizations. The support team is also very helpful. Although I wish the sync between devices was smoother. It may be due to security issues, but sometimes I have trouble connecting on my phone to my organizational emails. You need a plethora of apps installed, which ask you to log in occasionally, which can be a pain when I just want to quickly go through my emails. This hasn't been a problem on iPhones though. Anyways, Exchange is the best choice for when you need to work a lot with emails and meetings and need a proper system to keep them all organized.

At previous employers, I also used Microsoft Exchange, and it has always performed admirably and provided solid, dependable email access. We prefer on-premise to hosted Exchange because it gives us complete control over both the architecture of our Exchange environment and the Exchange servers themselves. VMWare ESXi is also used to virtualize all of our Exchange servers. Microsoft Exchange is simply the best email solution available, and the on-premise version of that product is the best.
  • User management is simple. Creating, deleting, and moving mailboxes and distribution lists is simple.
  • The Active Directory integration is excellent. Once again, this is the best of the best.
  • Mobile device integration is possible. Integration with Microsoft Outlook is quick, easy, and effective.
  • Troubleshooting problems can be difficult. Even for seasoned Exchange Admins, some of the issues that arise are not particularly intuitive.
  • Exchange cost is costly, both in terms of hardware and, more importantly, in terms of software.
  • It's not something you want a novice to set up or manage. You'll need administrators who are familiar with Microsoft Exchange.
For many small businesses, on-premise Microsoft Exchange may be prohibitively expensive. Office 365 is a hosted Exchange option for small businesses that want the power of Exchange but can't afford the costs of installing and maintaining an on-premise Exchange instance. Microsoft Exchange is ideal for medium- to large-sized businesses. It's sturdy, powerful, and dependable. If you want the best email in the industry, Microsoft Exchange is the way to go. In this regard, there is literally no better product on the market.

It's my default application email. I never had a problem in the 25 years that I have use it. I advise you to use it, you could do all features about email management. I integrate also the exchange server of my customer with API integration and it worked very well.
  • Rules
  • Filter
  • Search
  • Tagging
  • View additional mailbox in mobile device
It manages a lot of emails, it's good for searching with a lot of parameters, and it manages distribution lists and shared mailboxes. It is good for rules, sometimes I don't understand the logic con the unread email. It works offline very well. In comparison with Gmail, it has "annul features" while you're sending the email, and the tagging features in less friendly.

We have used Microsoft Exchange for the past 8 years for Emails, Calendars, and Contacts. Microsoft Exchange has good support for organizations which our company desperately needed. We have multiple companies and email domains and wanted a single place to manage mailboxes and user info. Microsoft Exchange helped us achieve this goal.
  • Mail Deliverability
  • SMTP Server Reliability
  • Support for Mobile devices
  • Could have better spam filtering.
  • Better Security.
  • Be more modern, without going to the cloud.
I would only recommend Exchange Server is on-premise email storage is absolutely necessary. For new companies looking for email hosting, I would go for Microsoft 365 instead. Exchange Server has lost any reputation for being secure in the past few years, and without a managed team, in-house or consultant, I don't think it's a good fit due to its maintenance requirements. It is NOT a set it and forgets it application. It needs backups configured, those need to be tested, it needs extra spam filtering software in my opinion, and it needs constant security patches.

Microsoft Exchange is our corporate email communications system of choice. Allows our multinational workforce to communicate seamlessly and share files of all types. It also integrates well with all other Microsoft products, particularly the Teams application. Simply put it is the gold standard for email platforms.
  • Ease of management
  • Active Directory Integration
  • Great security features
  • Easy mailbox management
  • User comfort and familiarity are unmatched
  • Would love to be able to shrink database size.
  • Better built in spam filtering capabilities.
Simply put, Microsoft Exchange is the gold standard for your corporate email backbone needs. There is a reason for its incredibly large martketshare worldwide. Would not use anything else for email.

We use Microsoft Exchange in our organization to manage and send outbound emails from our on-premise servers. We have a hybrid environment and it's not always practical for mail to be sent from non-Microsoft servers through M365 due to limitations of the cloud. Using Exchange allows us to granularly apply options and specific parameters that M365 doesn't permit.
  • SMTP is reliable
  • Ease of use
  • Redundancy, reliability
  • Logging
  • Updates and security can be improved
  • Migration can be difficult
  • Backup and recovery can be difficult
Microsoft Exchange is a staunch standard in the field, and there are very few scenarios where it is less than ideal. Being that Microsoft can often be late on a zero-day response, high-risk environments may wish to consider a higher security platform or at least bolstering security with a product such as Barracuda or Avanan.

Microsoft Exchange is used as one of the key services of the Office suite that we use. We mainly use it for email, and in integration with all the other Microsoft services we use.
  • Easy Integration with Microsoft products
  • Reliable Email Service
  • Great mobile and desktop app support
  • Integration with newer Microsoft products like Teams could be less buggy
  • More support integrating with non-Microsoft products
  • Feature synchronization with overlapping Microsoft products like Teams (e.g. calendar)
As an Enterprise service, Microsoft has done well to cater to the business needs of organizations with its strong suite of products that Microsoft Exchange is a part of. It is a relatively user friendly, reliable, and secure service that integrates will with other leading Microsoft Enterprise services like Active Directory. This makes it a very easy choice for any business organization to cover all their needs.

We use [Microsoft] Exchange (both on premise and online, in a hybrid setup at this point) for an organization wide email and communication solution. It is the basis for the majority of communication both internally and with external clients and customers. It allows all of our devices, both mobile and otherwise, to have on centralized location for most of our companies communication needs.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange is the gold standard for Corporate email. It is flawless in maintaining and delivering email to all of our users. It has been around so long the thing it does the best is just work. Most of the flaws and bugs are already out of the system.
  • The GUI management tools for MS Exchange, whether Online or on-premise, are fairly well documented and for the most part fairly easy to use.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange gives you the option to have an all in one box solution. Its not recommended but for smaller shops its a nice alternative to a more extensive setup that requires multiple servers.
  • If sized correctly, MS Exchanges is fine tuned out of the box to be fairly quick and responsive as to email delivery.
  • [Microsoft] Exchange is best used with MS's Outlook Email client. Trying to use it with third party options, including mobile possibilities, limits some of the capability a use may have.
  • If an on-premise [Microsoft] Exchange server has an issue and data corruption takes place, the method in which MS uses mail logging to restore a system can be overly complicated and take an extensive amount of time.
  • If the admin need you have is not included in the Graphic interface one has to move to using Powershell to get some basic tasks done. This is a bit cumbersome for part time Exchange admins.
  • Setting up Exchange to be fault tolerant can be a cumbersome process.
[Microsoft] Exchange is well suited for any organization that uses or plans on using Microsoft products as part of their offering. Almost all versions of Office come with the Outlook client and that sets up the expectation that those organizations will also use Exchange, whether Online or On-Premise, for their service side needs. In addition it is used so widely in corporations that finding support is much easier than some lesser known situations so its safe to use even in smaller shops where full time IT is not on staff. If your business is one that focuses on Google or open source products, trying to shoe horn Exchange into your environment is probably not the best choice as it would needlessly complicate your infrastructure.

Microsoft Exchange is used at our organization for email and communications. We use it for scheduling meetings and maintaining our meeting room spaces as well. The entire organization is using it across all our departments. Email is used on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and even touch screens across our buildings for digital signage in our meeting rooms.
  • Reliable platform for email
  • secure email system
  • able to serve thousands of users with minimal infrastructure resources
  • Provide gui admin functions that mirror powershell commands
Microsoft Exchange is well suited for the organization that runs Microsoft Active Directory Services. The integration with Active Directory makes this well suited for any organization that also has staff with MS knowledge and skillsets to manage an Exchange environment. It may not make sense to install Exchange if you don't have the ability to host an on premise exchange server. If you don't have the proper environment to support the investment, then it may make more sense to use Microsoft 365.

We use this company-wide for email. Previously, we also used it along with Lync 2013 for our unified communications. We had it paired with desk phones and integrated into Lync for IM. It's always been a very reliable email program. I can't recall ever running into any significant issues after applying service packs or CUs.

  • Web email access
  • Mobile device email access
  • Integration with other software
  • Security
  • Unified communications should still be supported
  • Management interface
Probably the best bet for medium-sized businesses or larger. I don't feel it would be a good investment for smaller companies. There are good cloud solutions out there that would require a lot less initial investment in hardware and staff than getting set up with on-prem exchange infrastructure.

Microsoft Exchange is used throughout our entire organization by each individual on a daily basis. With Microsoft Exchange, our company is much more productive than we have ever been. Since using Exchange, I have seen a tremendous improvement in productivity and organization in everyone.

Microsoft Exchange is an exceptional tool for small businesses and organizations. It gives companies the ability to communicate within, and create a close-knit team. We use Exchange across our whole organization because nowadays everyone needs email. Email is now the most effective form of communication for our business, when 10 years ago it was the phone, but now everyone prefers an email instead. Having our own in-house Exchange server makes sense for us because of the number of users we have, it's better than the cloud based subscription services for email, we get all the benefits of Exchange without any of the subscription costs.
  • Calendaring between organization members, scheduling meetings with other in-house team members is super easy and allows you see their available times easily.
  • Mobile device syncing, you can sync up an iPhone or android phone with your email account simply and always have your phone in sync with your desktop.
  • Laptop on the go access. The latest versions of exchange, 2007 and up, allow you to sync a laptop with your exchange server and it will stay in sync with your inbox no matter where in the world you go, with activesync built into exchange. No need to reconfigure your inbox when youre inside or outside your corp network.
  • Spam filtering and content rule creation. You can block unwanted emails right from the server with exchanges builtin spam filtering, or create your own rules right on the server to block unwanted non-spammers.
  • Scalability - it can be difficult to scale up your server when you need more hard drive room. Virtualizing your Exchange server can help a little with this.
  • Upgradeability across versions - it can be difficult to upgrade your Exchange server to the newest versions of Exchange, Mmicrosoft recommends you build a whole new server and migrate your mailboxes to the new server instead of doing an in-place upgrade of an existing server.
Exchange is a great option for organizations with more than 75 employees who rely on email heavily and have users with large inboxes, who want to be able to backup and restore their email quickly and easily. If you have less than 75 employees but more than 25, you might also be able to go with a windows essential server which has Exchange for up to 75 users only and it still makes a lot of sense, but you cannot grow bigger than 75 employees ever without adding another server that runs the full blown exchange. if you have less than 25 employees or don't use email much, then you probably should stick with Office 365 and cloud based email.

We are currently using Microsoft Exchange as our primary email system and it plays a critical role in our organization. It is used as a communication and collaboration tool by all staff members. In addition it is used for scheduling meetings with its calendar function and many of our staff relies on its search capabilities to locate important information and business documents.
  • MS Exchange is a very flexible and versatile collaboration tool. It's very easy to deploy and maintain once you have the necessary MS Exchange knowledge. Also there are many 3rd-party add-ons available which can enhance the capability of MS Exchange such as spam filters, antivirus software, etc.
  • Since MS Exchange is such a vital tool in most organizations, there are many ways to make MS Exchange highly available. A number of these HA options are based on standard Microsoft methodologies and may not necessarily result in additional costs for software.
  • MS Exchange is used by a large number of businesses and organizations around the world which simplifies integration with business partners.
  • MS Exchange Server does have its pitfalls. There are many times where users complain of losing emails or they cannot locate emails using the search function. Also, MS Exchange Server does not have the best out-of-the-box troubleshooting and mail tracing tools.
  • The MS Exchange platform is extremely vulnerable against possible threats and hacking. It is therefore important to increase the network security around the Exchange Server to limit attacks. Also, you will need to ensure that the system stays updated with the latest security patches and service packs. The extensive maintenance required for supporting MS Exchange Server needs to be taken into account. You may need an Exchange administrator to continuously monitor and support the system which may increase operational support costs.
Any business or organization who needs to take control over their communication and collaboration systems would be ideally suited for to leverage the capabilities of MS Exchange. Even small businesses can benefit. The advantage is that there are no additional costs for creating new mailboxes for users. Since most users are already running MS Office they would most likely have access to MS Outlook and can thus easily integrate with MS Exchange Server. Also MS Exchange supports mobile devices with an email application which makes it ideal for both onsite and offsite workers.

We currently use MS Exchange as our collaboration software for staff and faculty. It addresses meeting scheduling, room bookings, personal calendar and email communications for the business.
  • Seamless integration with MS Outlook, client for Windows and Mac, Mobile devices and Web access.
  • Incorporates calendar, email, contact list and tasks within the software. All information is kept in the mailbox database on the Exchange servers.
  • High availability. The clustering that MS uses for Exchange has come a long way. Their Database Availability Group technology keeps a copy of the database(s) on each host within the cluster. We have not experienced an outage since implementing Exchange 2010, over 6 years ago. We are now running Exchange 2016 without issues.
  • Some of our customers have asked for a feature called 'plus addressing'. This is widely used in the Linux/Gmail email systems but is not available on Exchange.
  • Inbox rules. The basics are there, however, there is some need for a more robust method of catching and sorting email. Some rule editors include a RegEx editor that would allow for this.
  • As of a few years ago, MS has been focusing more on their development efforts on their cloud solution and now so much on the on-premises application. Most feel that the new features do not make it to the on-prem application, forcing corporations to migrate to the cloud.
  • Anti-SPAM and AntiVirus. MS Exchange has never done a great job of keeping the bad email out of the system. This has opened up an opportunity for other companies to take advantage of selling an email firewall to catch a bad email before reaching Exchange.
Microsoft Exchange is well suited for an organization of over 1000 employees. The cost of the physical servers, Exchange itself and a full-time admin, is not feasible for a smaller organization.

Very good functionalities like unlimited archiving, the hold and redemption policy functionality or schedule emails to be sent in the future. Fit great for small or big business.

Microsoft Exchange is a hosted email service which is being used by my whole organization. All the departments in my organization use this software as their default email program. It helps us to have our emails and contacts in one place. And it can be accessed by all our systems. Its organised services helps us to reduce our time managing our emails.
  • It can sync all emails, contacts and calendar very well.
  • Setting up accounts and configuring emails on this software is very easy.
  • It provides a mobile application also which helps users to access email while traveling.
  • Sometimes its email sorting happens with errors. Some of my important emails went to my Junk folder.
  • It is not well optimised with Mac OS. I had to uninstall it from my MacBook.
  • It doesn't work well with a slow internet connection.
This software is extremely good in organising emails. It makes it easy to find any email even from a long thread of emails. It is very well suited for the users who want to organise multiple email accounts at one place. This software is capable of handling multiple accounts with ease.

We use Microsoft Exchange as our primary method of email communication for internal business users, contact center agents, and for business-to-customer interactions.
  • Microsoft Exchange offers the best integration with Active Directory.
  • Microsoft Exchange offers a great web management interface for administrators.
  • Microsoft Exchange web services provide key functionality on how we integrate emails into ACD workgroup queues for customer support purposes.
  • Microsoft Exchange could use more canned mail filtering tools to block spam.
  • Microsoft Exchange should include it's own quarantine solution.
  • Microsoft Exchange requires external recipients to become Exchange mail contacts before you can add those recipients to a distribution group.
Microsoft Exchange is well suited for a business that can afford the pricing structure, as well as afford the additional costs to improve mail server security.
