Previously in our company we used a POP3 mail service based on Web Hosting, due to the growth of our company and the need to centralize services and facilitate communication between our workers, we decided to migrate our email to Microsoft 365. This has been the first step of many, since our medium-term goal is to migrate our infrastructure to the cloud and thus use more and more services such as OneDrive and SharePoint as well as their different Apps to manage our business. One of them, which has made communication much easier for us and has completely changed us, has been Microsoft Teams.
  • Email Managment with Exchange technology
  • Centralize very useful business apps
  • Microsoft Teams
  • OneDrive share technology
  • Too many management consoles (old, news..)
  • Too many ways for manage resources (messy)
  • Microsoft Teams behavior (Temporaly files managment)
  • Microsoft Teams performance software
I think that most of the scenarios are recommended for the use of Microsoft 365 as long as the company that wants to incorporate it is not a very small company, I think that from 50 workers it can already be interesting for management, organization and development. of the company's activities. However, if a company has less than 50 workers, the cost, development and implementation of Microsoft 365 may not be as interesting or at least not take advantage of all its features.
  • Email with Outlook
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft One Drive
  • In a near future: Sharepoint in replacement of our File Server
  • better comunication between departments and users
  • better email tracking and managment
  • greater transparency of costs
  • cost management easier to manage

Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled
  • Since we were in an email with pop3, the main problem was migrating all the accounts and emails from that technology to Microsoft 365 technology
No
In the past, at the beginning, we had some incidents/doubts that were resolved very quickly and efficiently
We do not buy it because we have a provider that gives us incidents and offers us premium support included in the purchase of licenses (Softeng)
No
We have never needed direct support from Microsoft as we have requested it from our licensing provider.
I think it is a tool that with some training the user can handle without any problem.

We only use Microsoft Teams, One Drive and Outlook apps and we are very happy with their functionality.

We currently use Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)] with enterprise licenses that provide the office suite and Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. We have used Teams to replace our legacy chat program about a year ago, and it has been a very positive experience. We no longer have to manage the Office licenses for over 400 users, and can have add-ons if needed, like Microsoft Defender or Audio Conferencing. We also utilize SharePoint and OneDrive for remote file sharing and collaboration when you can't use VPN to get connected to our network or file shares. This provides the security we require along with the ability to work anywhere an d have access to what you need. The [ability] for Microsoft 365 to integrate into our Identity management is also a big win for security along with password replication from our on premise AD environment. Azure AD Connect provides that framework for us to grow on.
  • Email
  • Team collaboration
  • Identity management
  • Less frequent admin portal changes
  • Health that is directly related to my organization
  • Licensing clarity
Exchange online is a great way for any company to transition to Microsoft 365 [(formerly Office 365)]. Identity management is also nice for login and managing security to applications and data. Providing the office suite with enterprise licenses is another way for a company to realize cost savings by eliminating the Office full purchase to a subscription based license. This allow for a lower capital expense and moves to operational expenses.
  • Security
  • Function of online apps
  • Cost
  • Positively reducing capital expenses
  • Positive by long term subscription model providing the latest updates automatically
We have not used any other product as there is none that offer the same features and compatibility along with the end users skillset to use the office products.
Over the past 8 years of using Microsoft 365, I have noticed that they change vendors often. This always leads to a poor experience in the beginning, then levels out after some time for the company to get things worked out. As a customer, it is really frustrating because I don't have time when something isn't working to have them "look into my issue" and get back with me. They have even closed a ticket I specifically told them to keep open. Your applications are only as good as the support.
No, because I have prior experience with paid support with Microsoft and every time they never provide a resolution. Why would a premium support be any different, and I am not paying for that type of service. Happy with the standard support that comes with the licenses. Other issues, I rely on peers and forums for support.
No
They have gone above and beyond for an issue that could only be fixed using powershell, and the engineer provided the commands that resolved the issue. I still monitor the engineers' Blog for helpful insights in the SysAdmin realm.

I use one or more programs included with Microsoft 365 almost every day. I make extensive use of Outlook for emails, Excel for spreadsheets, and Word for preparing the text of reports. I have a forensic accounting practice and have to frequently prepare memos and or reports. A typical report contains a series of Excel spreadsheets that I call schedules and a text that explains in detail the schedules and my findings regarding certain analyses that I conduct. I can easily convert both the text of a report and the schedules into PDF form directly without scanning, and then add information to the PDF such as consecutive page numbers and paste an actual image of my signature into the PDF. This allows me to complete a report directly from my computer without scanning anything. I have issued reports when I am out of town including foreign countries. All I need is access to the internet. I also use PowerPoint to make certain presentations and often prepare graphs to explain complex findings in court. Having Microsoft 365 facilitates these tasks with ease. For example, sometimes in the text of a report, I describe certain findings and include a copy of a graph directly in the Word file. While I prepare the graph using Excel, I can copy and paste the graph from Excel into Word. It really produces a very professional-looking product. For me, Microsoft 365 is an absolute necessity.
  • Easy to link Excel information into Word.
  • In Excel, linking of cells makes it easy to do analysis that when changed, updates everything.
  • Excel is very powerful. You can use it to sort data and create really professional-looking schedules for reports and presentations.
  • Excel makes creating graphs really easy. Great for explaining financial concepts to individuals with limited financial backgrounds.
  • Excel has some really powerful tools, such as rounding of results of computations, using at if formulas to analyze certain data and the grouping function which can help make a really complex schedule simpler by hiding certain rows and or columns.
  • Many programs that contain databases of information can export reports directly into Excel eliminating the need for data entry.
  • I like the editor function in Word, which helps one create better reports. It picks up errors such as punctuation and makes suggestions for better use of words.
  • I would like to see the editor function that Word has included in Excel.
Microsoft 365 is well suited if one has to prepare memos and or reports. Excel is very useful for analyzing data and creating exhibits that explain and help one manage their business. Outlook is great for keeping your calendar and managing your emails. PowerPoint is great for making professional presentations of various kinds.
  • Preparing analysis of data using Excel.
  • Preparing texts for reports using Word.
  • Keeping colander using Outlook.
  • Managing emails using Outlook.
  • As far as I am concerned, Microsoft 365 makes it possible for me to conduct business [at] such a small cost. It [saves] me hours of time.
I am not aware of another product that has all of the features of Microsoft 365.

I use Microsoft 365 every working day for managing emails and my calendar, to prepare various types of financial analysis using Excel, preparing written reports using both Excel and Word, and preparing charts using PowerPoint.
I use Dell Computer for tech support.
  • Managing emails and my calendar.
  • Preparing various types of financial analysis using Excel.
  • Preparing reports using both Excel and Word.
  • Preparing presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Keeping track of my time and Expenses for billings to clients using Excel.
  • Using Excel, I developed a system to keep track of my time billable to clients. I also use Excel to keep track of my expenses billable to clients.
  • Using Excel, I keep track of my other expenses for tax purposes. I have developed a system for going through my credit cards and identifying business charges on my credit cards and reimbursing myself for them.
  • I have taught certain courses and made presentations in slide show formats for that purpose.
  • I am considering using Excel to keep track of business deadlines.
I use the product almost every day. Not sure how I would be able to operate without it.

I worked with Dell to set up Microsoft 365. They provide me the entire suite and provide me email hosting and backup services. I first set up email, contacts, and my calendar. Then, I started using Excel and Word and later PowerPoint.
Change management was minimal
  • Migrating my old Pop email system to the new online linked system.
Everything works and I use it all the time.
I have used online FAQ and articles or done searches online for explanations on how to use certain functions. There are good resources available online. I have never had to contact Microsoft and talk to them live.
No. I have never needed to contact them.

It seems to me to be such a useful and necessary tool in my business.
  • Cell linking in Excel.
  • Keeping tract of my Calendar.
  • Managing emails.
  • Certain advanced functions in Excel such as nested at if statements.
Yes
It works well for emails. For some reason, if I set up an appointment in Outlook on my phone, that does not link to my computer. If I set it up on my computer, it links to my cell phone instantly. I have not tried this issue lately. It may be an issue caused by how my set-up on my computer has been done.

I also read Word and Excel attachments on my phone, but due to the screen size, I sometimes wait until I am at my computer.

Microsoft Office 365 is being used as the primary provider for spreadsheet, data, and word processing. Their Azure and SharePoint services are also incorporated into our corporate data management scheme. The biggest issues addressed are security, scalability, and access. We use these services across the whole organization. The ability to use these services cross-platform has made Microsoft invaluable to our company.
  • Microsoft addresses security real-time, in a manner comparable software is found lacking.
  • Microsoft services are used cross-platform. This makes it particularly valuable;e to our company as some employees prefer Mac and Linux os.
  • Microsoft 365 Word has templates that make contracts and orders
  • I would like to see storage features from Microsoft's own servers, for their clients.
  • I would like to be able to have better mobile apps for 365.
  • They're is room for improvement in research and development.
Microsoft 365 has the ability to save a document and access it again from another device or platform readily. For example, if one of our employees starts a contract at work on their desktop and decide they would like to work on a document at home on a laptop or mobile device the capability exists.
  • Microsoft has been less expensive.
  • Microsoft has been more secure.
  • Microsoft is scalable to fit our needs.
We have used open office, Apache and other providers of similar services and found them to be lacking in cost effectiveness, usability, scalability, and security
Yes
I pay for premium support to ensure I get resolution immediately. It seems to be that when you pay for premium support your issues are addressed quicker than free support.
The service techs are knowledgeable, expedient, and courteous. Microsoft's support team goes the extra mile to not only resolve any obvious issues, but they try to identify any underlying issues that could repeat the problem or cause further service interruptions later.
No
There was an incident when one of our employees wiped out her files for the entire year. With the help of Microsoft, we were able to recover those files fast.

Office 365 is being used both desktop and cloud for our email and Microsoft Office needs. In the office of course as you always have the latest edition of the software, and in the field it's fabulous as my field guys phones and tablets are set up for them to edit items, use the email apps and accept/review Word, Excel and PowerPoint for job issues and uses.
  • The admin panel is very easy to navigate. Can see/edit people, subscription status, set up accounts etc. with ease. I do this for all the field employees and work as the defacto IT guy, and it makes my life very easy to set up and new users, and lock out people being dismissed quickly and easily. (sad that has to happen at times!)
  • The updated program status and simplicity works well for our field operations. These guys arent 'techie' types, they are construction workers. They're all grasping how to use the system very well.
  • It's stable, it's rare we have any issues that aren't..'um restart your device' as a response. Dependable and works as required.
  • An all in one might be nice for field use. But setting up the individual cloud settings isn't too bad.
  • It can be difficult to switch or pay subscription fees when they expire, it's not intuitive where to find it.
  • Other than email, knowing and practical use of working the Office apps could be improved, but once you figure it out, it's not too bad.
Well suited for keeping the mobile field up and running, and keeping costs to a minimum for our small office peer to peer. Since we don't have a real server here, this has been ideal to be up and running fast, grows as you need easily and gives the admin full and easy control to keep things working. It's cost effective for cash flow, and we haven't had any issues with it. Couldn't recommend it more highly to start ups especially with field workers needing to stay in communication and receive job plans and updates via Word or Excel.
  • Helped get us started with very little cash outlay, easily expands or contracts with the size of our field crew. Everyone has grasped it well, and it's really helped us keep productivity up by making communication easy with the field.
  • Really helps us maintain cash flow by paying smaller more frequent fees, and being able to quickly adjust to users. Since it's really the standard for software, it's helped us transition some team members in to and out of the office, where the switch to full desktop suite was less intimidating for them.
  • Has been great at saving MY time in getting thing set up since we don't have a dedicated IT person. It's so easy to use it didn't require outsourcing.
Not aware of any competitors. Not sure I'd even investigate that option. Having all the Office products available that swiftly and being able to get smaller packages of it depending on the need of the user assigned account makes it entirely too easy a choice. Especially with as flexible as the plans can be.
No
Haven't needed to pay for premium support. Most issues I've been able to address myself or with a minimum of searching. When I have needed tech support the standard plan for the most part has been fine. There's been the occasional need to escalate, but that's only one time in the perhaps 1/2 a dozen or less times I've needed help in 4 years. And this with me learning the systems themselves as we grow.
8 because sometimes you do need to wait for a callback or help.
But they are a huge company and I can't expect to have someone at our beck and call the very few times i've needed immediate support.
They're always friendly and try hard. Feel like they really want you to be satisfied.
Yes
Yes. A few times, response was good. Hard to complain when of the 4-6 times I've called, at least 1/2 were device issues.
As we grew, and once I fired our third party IT company that was overcharging us, I had to call support because I was bound and deterimined not to pay a third party to come in and fix the issue. Complete user error and settings issues based on our previous IT team. They were more than patient, educated me as i went, and made sure I understood the 'why' involved so I'd be able to move forward without revisiting the same issues. Very patient, very helpful and didn't feel rushed.
