What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams combines video conferencing software with team collaboration tools. The communications platform allows MS Office users to conduct conference calls and share files via SharePoint, and join or initiate a group chat.

Microsoft Teams features three tiers of pricing. The first is a subscription-less, free option that offers the same features as the other two tiers but does not offer administration tools like analytics and access to on-premise servers, or support features like 24/7 phone and web support. The second and third tiers are based on the size of your business and its conferencing needs. Its “Office 365 Business Premium” option starts at $12.50 a month per user, with a required annual commitment, and its “Office 365 E3” option for enterprises starts at $20 a month per user, also with a required annual commitment.

Key Features
Meetings: Meet with teams of 10 or 10,000. Host audio, video, and web conferences with anyone inside or outside your organization or go big with live events.

Calling: Its Phone System feature enables PBX capabilities including call control in Office 365 and replaces on-premises PBX. Its calling features are customizable to fit your organization’s unique needs.

MS Teams is making our lives easier on a day-to-day basis, the platform is being used across the whole organisation by all departments and all internal communications from all teams are being distributed in one place. MS Teams is used for calls, conversations, files and meetings and this allows us to reduce the number of emails received in our inboxes. With this in place, it facilitate easy, quick and effective collaboration with my colleagues and I can definitely recognise that I am achieving more. Microsoft Teams is also user friendly on desktop and mobile. With Teams, I can finally have an inbox dedicated to my clients and I see myself more productive.

We currently use Microsoft Teams company wide for all our conferencing needs including internal collaborating on projects and events. Teams helps us create separate workgroups to tackle upcoming presentations and reviews which helps tremendously over sending hundreds of emails and copying each employee. It has been a significant time save during this time we are mostly working from home.

We use Microsoft teams as a means to exchange on projects with partners, mostly on a day to day basis. The Meetings feature is what we use the most for groups of 4 to 6 on average. Its great to interact with voice and video directly form the app on a mobile or laptop, or through a web browser when i am using a desk PC at one of our branches.

We use Microsoft Teams corporate-wide and I honestly don't know how we worked without it!! It has given us so much extra time to reach out to our colleagues for quick answers, without having to make a call or sending a time-consuming email. Video calling is fantastic for quick calls & team meetings, without scheduling a Go To Meeting or Zoom. Document sharing? No problem!! Sharing an emoji or gif to uplift someone's day is pretty cool on the fly too =}

Microsoft Teams is being used across the whole organization. One-quarter of our workforce works from home at any given time and Microsoft Teams is a great way to get ahold of someone. We use Microsoft Teams in a couple of ways. 1. We use the instant messenger functionality. 2. You can call someone direct via Microsoft Teams. 3. We use it for web conferencing. 4. You can also invite someone to a special group where you can share files.

We are currently using Microsoft Teams across the organization for messaging, file sharing and video conferencing. We use it to host meetings internally and with outside customers, and have tied our conference rooms into Teams as well so we can use the advanced video conferencing equipment available in these rooms vs just the users' phone or laptop.

Microsoft Teams is being used by our entire organization currently. We had used Skype for Business for quite a few years which solved our challenges but after the migration to Microsoft Teams, it's hard to envision a typical work day without this vital software. We use Microsoft Teams for everything from user-to-user chat, video calls & meetings, calendar updates, file sharing for teams, and also as way to collaborate.

Teams is used across the entire organization for all team communication, meetings, video conferencing and collaboration. Teams allowed our organization to rapidly deploy remotely during COVID and it has continued to be our primary tool for meeting and sharing information.

We currently use it as our primary internal messaging application and for team meetings. It is in use across the entire organization. This allows us an ability to allow our remote workers to collaborate and communicate more effectively. It also allows us the ability to audit users should a need to arise.

We use Microsoft Teams for hosting a meeting and discuss the issues being faced by my teammates or taking suggestions from them. It is a very secure and convenient software for communication and really easy to use. The good thing about this software is we can record the session and even can send messages during the video call. Even it can be run on mobile also.

Microsoft Teams is a great video chat tool. It satisfies most of our business needs like conducting meetings, conferences and communicating with clients regarding projects and queries. Communicating with staff and sharing business files with peers is easy.

I adore how Microsoft Teams makes it easy to connect with coworkers. It is easy to use the mobile app, but I mainly use the desktop version for my daily, weekly, or monthly meetings. I am using this software every day and it is a great tool to get work done.

Teams is being used across the organization and every user has access to it. It is currently optional to use it and not the main form of communication across the organization as we still use Skype. Running two collaboration platforms made it more difficult to get users up to speed and adoption to the levels we wanted. I recommend that if you're a leader in your organization and making the decision to get Teams, make sure you implement it at the same time as removing Skype or other communication platforms.

Microsoft Teams is the software that has shown us the importance of teamwork, where decisions are collectively made, and business operations/tasks are conducted efficiently. Microsoft Teams supports communications, both external and internal, with text messaging, calls, and emails. More so, employee engagement and directory have been enhanced by Microsoft Teams. Video conferencing, one of the ways for virtual meetings, has been enhanced by Microsoft Teams.

Since we have transitioned from plain Office licenses to an Office 365 subscription, we have started to adopt Microsoft Teams. It has become, at least partially, an improved way to centralise ourselves per project. It brings together team members, meeting notes, files and online meetings in a single environment. But this change is only partially implemented in our company.

Microsoft Teams' user interface is simple and very easy to understand and can be used by anyone. It has a very good feature to organize team meetings, share your documents, take short training and record them as well so that the entire group can have access to it. The call quality is good even with the decent internet speed. You can schedule the meeting for your team by blocking their calendar in advance. You can create different channels for your projects.

In our team this application is used mainly for team meetings or for an individual meeting, sharing files, daily progress tracker, in creating groups separately for different technology and sharing things related to that only in specific groups, in celebration or in organizing events.
Yes, it is used across the whole organization as well in client-side as this application is very easy to use and users can adapt very quickly.
In team tracker, project development tracks, in helping other teams member via call or screen share.
In quick meet as well it is very useful, overall an excellent application for professionals.

Microsoft team is being used for virtual meetings, training and communication between departments, vendors and business partners. For training, it almost provides all the required features such as attendees list, survey and file sharing option. In meetings, it has all the required features ie. muting all attendees, enable disable camera and mic option etc.

We used Microsoft Teams almost exclusively to teach classes during the pandemic. We also continue to use it for faculty and training meetings as we are just getting back to campus. I anticipate we will continue to use it for meetings because we have some faculty who are not in our college town. I also hope the administration continues to use it for training because I don't want to have to go to another all-day training meeting with a rubber chicken lunch.

Microsoft products are used by the university. All departments, staff and students receive a Microsoft subscription including a subscription to Microsoft Teams. It is used for remote working, distance, and online learning and is the default work collaboration tool since lockdowns have been imposed.

MIcrosoft Teams has been implemented some time back (say about 6-7 months back) within our organization as a replacement for Skype for Business. It has been launched throughout the organization and not within a specific team as such. It offeres a wide variety of solutions such as team audio/video calls, real time file update feature, file sharing on cloud feature, group team chats etc. The unique and primary business solution that is offers is that of real time file update on cloud by the team members which eventually help in keeping the status tracker updated all the time without going into the hassle of sending and getting it updated via email which turns out to be a very inefficient task.
