What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams combines video conferencing software with team collaboration tools. The communications platform allows MS Office users to conduct conference calls and share files via SharePoint, and join or initiate a group chat.

Microsoft Teams features three tiers of pricing. The first is a subscription-less, free option that offers the same features as the other two tiers but does not offer administration tools like analytics and access to on-premise servers, or support features like 24/7 phone and web support. The second and third tiers are based on the size of your business and its conferencing needs. Its “Office 365 Business Premium” option starts at $12.50 a month per user, with a required annual commitment, and its “Office 365 E3” option for enterprises starts at $20 a month per user, also with a required annual commitment.

Key Features
Meetings: Meet with teams of 10 or 10,000. Host audio, video, and web conferences with anyone inside or outside your organization or go big with live events.

Calling: Its Phone System feature enables PBX capabilities including call control in Office 365 and replaces on-premises PBX. Its calling features are customizable to fit your organization’s unique needs.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I'd imagine, as a Microsoft product, that Microsoft Teams' overall support is fantastic. The platform is so seamless and easy to use, I have honestly never had to reach out to their support team myself. I can't speak on behalf of all of our employees, but I have not heard about any issues whatsoever with this platform.

Microsoft Teams has a good support and an easy system to find answers. There are also tutorials available for learning the basics of the program which is very helpful. Being able to use the program on computers, tablets and mobile devices is very helpful. The whole Outlook 360 package has a good support network which makes integrating new programs into the office easier.

I give it an 8 because of two reasons. First, I've never used official customer support for it, at least not from Microsoft directly. But second, there are enough people using it in the community and enough familiar overlap of features with other products (Skype for Business, SharePoint, Planner, etc.), that you don't need formal support. There are enough people passionate about the product, that a few online searches can help get you started with a deeper dive use case, otherwise, it's pretty straightforward to get started with the more simple usage, such as instant messaging or sharing files. And it's easy to explore and try things on your own too.

I haven't had much occasion to use Teams support, but their walkthrough is nice. It was a little strange that we discovered it when it just suddenly appeared on our machines, and there was very little explanation. However, the basic documentation for Teams is sufficient for getting set up and walking others through the process.

One of the things that Teams does incredibly well is ask after each video or audio call how the call quality was. It gives you an opportunity to give immediate feedback to their support teams about what the quality was like during the call and how it could have been better. I really like that.

Microsoft Teams has made work easier. I don't have to fumble with server space on the university's network, I don't need to keep track of thumb drives, or other external drives. It's a secured space where I can collaborate with colleagues and better monitor the work my student workers produce.

We are early adopters and are still learning an application that feels like it is still being fully baked. While it is definitely offering glimpses of the future virtual workspace offering limitless collaboration potential, some kinks exist and I’ve mentioned them in detail in earlier questions. I am confident that in a year from now all of the big ones will be ironed out and the masses will be using Microsoft Teams across the globe for communication and collaboration.

We had issues with one of our members getting onboarded. We called their commercial number, and someone was able to help us right away and resolve the issue. Normally you have to wait or use a chatbot, but their support was very fast and personable. I was honestly impressed and surprised.

Teams has been very useful for us, and it was a painless switch from what we were using. The ability to create teams and groups to collaborate with, the integration of Outlook calendars, the ease of use, and the high-quality audio and video calls that are offered are hard to beat. There are a few minor tweaks I think they still need to make, but overall I'm really happy with it so far.

We have always had help and support when needed, from pre-implementation to current use. Microsoft Teams support has been there to help us address any and all issues we have come across. The issues, for the most part, have been few and far between. Regardless, support has been top-notch and very helpful.

I've never had to deal with support, but I'm sure it's decent as it's a Microsoft product and they have the workforce needed to support a platform like this. Maybe we just need some training, but we don't think Teams is a very good platform. I'm sure the support is good and works though.
