I have used other mind mapping software as browser extensions or try-before-you-buy programs, but MindJet MindManager is by far superior. I've bought 5+ versions in the last 20+ years. After a business leader shared it in a presentation at a conference breakout session in the 2000s, I was hooked. I've tried other programs, but they're all wannabe versions of the powerful MindJet product.

This is really the only one like this I have used. I have tried workarounds like InDesign, PowerPoint Photoshop, and others but there really is no comparison as this was built for exactly what I am trying to do.

Each does very similar things. I like Miro because it is very easy to allow anyone to collaborate without having to have a file saved anywhere. Visio is great if you have spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of it. I prefer Mind Manager for presentation and brainstorming sessions where we need to stay organized, and Miro when we need a lot of people to work together on some.

MindManager is the most robust of the mind mapping tools I've used, and it's great for collaborating. Xmind and MindMeister are both cheaper and have great interfaces, but they lack some of the more advanced functionality that MindManager brings to the table. If you're on a budget either of these is a good choice, but if you want the most features or the best collaboration experience then MindManager is the best choice.

Both are equally good. Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is used to get the models in a more technical format in comparison to the MindManager. MindManager is easier to use in comparison to Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. MindManager makes collaboration easy and can be understood by a layman and does not need to have specific software training.

I hated MindMeister despite all the glory it gets online. The tool was not so user-friendly to me. I struggled a lot using the topic and subtopic boxes. Perhaps it was because I had been so accustomed to MindManager that my mind got used to expecting that the same tools and features should be available and easy to use.

We are still evaluating MindManager but we felt that it easily integrated with Microsoft Office and Teams than Lucid and that was really important for our team. We love the single sign-on feature and all the integration features that come with the program. We will continue to evaluate MindManager and hope to incorporate it in the near future.

Our network is fluid. Previously, we had used software that allowed us to make changes to a fiber route, ring diagram, etc. immediately. It was easy to maintain and update. It allowed the Planner/Engineer to be creative and tell a story with their Market Assignments. When we used Visio to show how equipment connects together, we found even an entry-level field tech could use this drawing and connect everything correctly the very first time. However, Visio is not available in MacOSX, I'm a Windows user but for some of my coworkers that means that they need a Virtual Machine to run Visio or not running Visio at all, making MindManager the obvious choice.

MindManager is by far the most feature rich and capable solution in the market today. The key reasons for selecting MindManager as the tool of choice are:
  1. Breadth of templates and document types (beyond the conventional mind map).
  2. Ability to import and export to different file formats.
  3. Integration with desktop productivity tools for tasks and calendar entries.
  4. Portability across Windows and Mac platforms.

One note has some good tools for transcribing a zoom meeting. People are very comfortable with OneNote on extended teams as it looks and feels like other MS products, and many are familiar with it. I honestly have been using Mind Manager for so many years, I am one of those resistant to change tools.

I have tried Xmind but MindManager has way more capabilities. Over the last decade, MindManager grew exponentially in terms of its capabilities, especially in the area of project management (not only traditional waterfall type of project management but agile type of project management also). It also provides integration with many other tools that exist in the marketplace today.
