One is an accountant while the three other members are business majors with experience in finance departments. The overall use of the program has brought more light for staff members to dive deeper into learning how this software performs certain financial features. But everyone on the team has the capability to support the accounting needs through Abila.

1. The first person helping us on supporting the software is our IT guy Todd. He will contact MIP if an update is needed and contact them directly if there are any issues with the software performance.
2. We have 3 people working on Fiscal, including myself.

I have taken multiple classes offered by MIP to train myself on how to use the system. The classes and the instructors are very helpful. My preference is to do the in-person training, but I have found the online training is really good as well.

I support the controller and I depend 100 percent on MIP reports for payroll, benefits, accounts payable and accounts receivable to do my job. It is very useful to be able to run reports and play with the settings to have the system retrieve the information that I need in order to best do my job.

Accounting and people with basic bookkeeping skills. We have one accounts payable clerk, one payroll clerk, one human services coordinator, and one general ledger accountant. The accountant doubles as the technical support person for MIP.

I think someone who has experience with SQL server is a plus if not someone who understands how to manage the system from an administrative function. Allowing appropriate access with proper security rights while ensuring the system is up to date especially when around tax changes.

We have our CFO who keeps the budget in check and reports to our board on finances. Our Accounting Supervisor handles the largest part of the work, balancing, reconcilliations, journal vouchers, reporting, etc. We also have our payroll department using that portion of MIP and our accounting clerk who does data entry, researching errors, etc. Our HR Dept uses the HR module for keeping track of all employees, benefits, etc.
Our IT department used to be in charge of keeping it updated, but is now freed up on that and we little little to no support from them at this point. The cloud made this a reality.

Accounting experience and background are very important in using any accounting software. Our in house accountant and myself (I am the accounting assistant) are the two people who use and support the MIP accounting software on a regular daily basis.

Currently we have our Finance team accessing MIP which includes the CFO, the Controller and the Accounting Coordinators. The Controller and the lead are the ones that have had the most training and most knowledge on the platform and usually make the reports and imports requested by the CFO as needed.

We use an external Computer Professional who is able to take care of most of our needs remotely. He does updates and troubleshooting through TeamViewer. Our Accounting and Human Resource staff are tech savvy and able to navigate the software to get any necessary Agency reporting completed accurately and efficiently. We are able to get all of our Government requirements through MIP Fund Accounting.
