We use monday.com in a variety of ways here.
1. First and foremost, we give all team members and departments training on monday.com so that they can use it to optimize their day-to-day or build workflows to fit their use cases.
2. We use monday.com to track company OKRs. We have company level boards (high level), then department level boards (low level). Our system works well, but functionality could be better. I believe there are items in the roadmap that will help.
3. Initiative tracking - general company initiatives
4. Ops workflows - we have a sync with Salesforce where opportunities get pulled in from SF with relevant metadata. Once in monday.com, our Ops team is able to delegate and track work that must be done for each opp.
5. Product management - we use monday.com to track our internal Product development efforts, everything from roadmapping to sprint tracking, bug tracking, etc.
  • Relatively easy to share boards with external users for collaboration
  • monday.com <> Salesforce integration is solid - one of the main reasons we purchased the product, but there have been issues with API overages which shouldn't be happening
  • Ease of use - easy to get in and start building
  • Recipes could use some work - would be cool to have better recipes for sub-items (related to my next point)
  • High to low level boards and linking (ultimately need better rollups)
  • Linked views of databases would be amazing... similar to the table views, but not
  • Faster UI for larger databases ( I know this is being overhauled - awesome!)
  • Would be great to be able to display last comment in a table column, or being able to drop in a comment in a table column and that populate in the comments
  • Ability to hide table views and reorder table views - PLEASE :)
I really love monday.com, but there are some areas that are lacking and have been massively sought out by the monday.com community that are easy wins but still under consideration by the product team...

Well suited - for teams that need a quick and easy solution.

Not well suited - advanced users that need to crush and build out complex workflows that work without being super hacky.

Working in marketing, I have multiple projects going on at once and monday.com helps me stay on top of all of them. I use monday.com to track the progress of each project, keep others updated on projects, schedule training and time off, plan out long term assignments and goals, and plan my day-to-day tasks.
  • to do list
  • scheduling of tasks
  • planning - day to day, week to week, month to month, quarter to quarter, and year to year.
  • more colors - have the ability to add custom colors to labels
  • more options with the calendar (minimize weekends, more layouts, more options)
We were updating our website and I was tasked with getting information from each of our 45 locations. monday.com allowed me to keep track of emails sent, who responded, and what information was updated and when. It also allowed me to update my manager on the progress.

I use it to keep every project updated. The scope is related to the efficiency that the platform brings us in terms of timeline, the reach of each project, checkmark lists, constantly update of each chore. We also use it to prepare study cases of any project, also to have a database of our clients and many more things.
  • Set timelines
  • Organize projects
  • Easy communication between partners
  • Creation of databases
  • Rentability of projects
  • Checkmark lists
  • Multi selection
  • Stationary cells
monday.com is a awesome platform to work as a team, because it provides you with several tools that you can use to organize all the company work in one spot. It is also a good platform in terms of communication because you can mention partners, give them shores, they also can give you shores, you constantly can update every single project you are working in. Beside this, you can do the day by day thanks to all the time table tools. Once you finish a project you can saved it and keep it in the platform so if you need to find something or remember anything you can search directly and in a very easy way.

I use monday.com in my daily management of the legal matters that we deal with at Impartner. At a glance I can tell whether it's a customer or a vendor and the type of contract being review. It also assists my outside counsel in knowing what departments to bill for his legal services. Fantastic tool! I highly recommend monday.com.
  • Easy to set up. I didn't have to spend a ton of time on this part of the process.
  • Easy to use. I was able set up some automation and monday.com provided clear instructions to do this.
  • Makes the intake process easy for my team to use.
  • A way to set up an automated email message to the person submitting the questionnaire including date and time of submission to confirm they submitted the intake form.
monday.com helps me stay on top of all the legal matters and contracts that I am responsible for. It helps me organize all the matters that are in my queue so I know where they are and what is going on with them at any given time. I don't have to search through endless emails to figure things out when someone asks a question.

This is a great tool to stay organized and help us manage investor requests as well as keep track of the day to day timeline and flow of wires, reporting timeline and tasks. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a collaboration tool that helps you stay organized and on top of tasks.
  • track team assignments
  • keep track of wires and bank holidays
  • track reporting tasks
  • a large volume of email alerts
well suited for a team of any size to keep track of assignments.

monday.com help us to develop/fill tools to manage in-house projects and for our customers. monday.com tools are easy to use and understand for all of us (from Junior Staff to Senior Partners - for a multidisciplinary working group). Therefore, each and everyone of us know who is working in our projects, milestones, responsibilities, resources involved, timelines, etc. Great for everyone, simple, efficient, easy, shareable on real-time and elegant.
  • Help to develop a detailed timeline for projects, with milestones & responsibles.
  • It promotes efficiency, accountability and transparency to the organization.
  • Keep track of resources involved in every project.
  • Customizable Slack alerts (not only every hour in the hour)
  • Better payment plans for more users (considering users that only review information)
In Small-Medium Firms, where yu need to keep track and you do not have enough resources to have someone developing PM tools.
When the tools will be used by many different users (from Engineers to Economist - from Seniors Partners to Interns - for Baby Boomers to centennials), with little time to learn but a lot of needs to keep a great track of the projects.
Easily shareable, in real time, in many Time-Zones.
Linkable with many other Office apps, like Slack.

We use monday.com as our CRM and this board links through to a number of operational workflow boards. We also have a project board. monday.com has removed our need for multiple spreadsheets, enabled us to connect our workflow across the entire business and automate lots of repeat tasks.
  • Filtering - you can set up views so different users can just see what they need at a click of a button.
  • Automation - we can automate lots of repeat actions and also use this a lot for notifications ensuring the right people in the team get notified when they need to.
  • Links to our phone system enabling one-click calling.
  • More automation options please :)
  • Better links with Trello
  • An API with Qwilr (sales proposal software) too please :)
It's so versatile that once you know how to use it you can apply it to any workflow. We use it well for sales, production, customer service management, project management and I've just started a private HR board so I can better track staff development, performance etc.

We use monday.com in various ways from tracking daily tasks to working through larger projects. We use the form feature for a lot of internal processes along with obtaining survey feedback. Every department in our organization uses monday.com for their teams for both individual and team tasks. We use both the board feature along with the dashboard features. The dashboard features make it simple for management to take a one glance look and know the current status of their teams work.
  • automations
  • forms
  • organization
  • reporting
  • integrations - but these are being added pretty regularly lately.
  • API with other products
Great to use as a ticketing system for teams to work through tasks, the dashboard feature is a great one for managers to see at a glance what their teams are working on. The ticketing system when using by auto forwarding emails from outlook isn't the best as it puts the body of the email into the comment bubble, making it hard to search for duplicate items.

We use monday.com to organize our content calendar, review each other work, and schedule our posts.
  • Help us organize our work flow
  • Allows us to review and writes notes about each others work
  • Allows us to schedule out our work months out
  • I wish we could publish social post from monday.com
monday.com is perfect for our department. We can see what everyone is doing, preventing us from doing redundant work. It allows instant access to my co-works work so I can review their content and leave notes. Again we can see what everyone is posting and find the best place to fit my posts.

We're a marketing agency and we use monday.com for our entire client journey, from lead generation and nurturing to sales pipeline and closed deals. It's also our primary platform for account management, creative task requests, client finance insights, as well as project management for all of our internal processes, including departmental budgets, inventory, and supply requests.
  • Intuitive and user friendly
  • Beautifully designed
  • Great automation features
  • Constantly improving and updating the platform
  • Quicker response times to support tickets
  • More advanced functionality of subitems
  • monday.com docs could be great, but we've had lots of glitches/issues with them
Great for project management, reporting, and sorting features to find and view the information most relevant to users. Perfect for cross-department collaboration.

Customer database management, product workflows, client communication, templating reports and forms, accounting. We use monday.com to track a client request from start to finish., It's a great system of record to use across all departments, keeping everything housed in one place.
  • Visually appealing and extremely user friendly.
  • Automations are very customizable and save so much time.
  • The platform can continue to grow and adjust based on company needs.
  • Departments can have their own workspaces and still link up with other departments.
  • update feed traveling from board to board.
  • Dragged attachments appearing at the TOP of emails as opposed to the bottom.
The best part about having this platform as the standard system of record for our company is that every department has "eyes" on where a request is in the process, eliminating emails and direct messages. The communication within the platform itself is very useful. The transparency is vital to successful internal communication for our company.

  • Fast board creation
  • Automizations
  • Notifications
  • Adding team memebrs or keeping boards private
  • More flexibility and item connections with automizations
  • Intergation between CRMs

I use monday.com to track project progress, update team members, and coordinate deliverables for various departments. It is also very useful for creating and distributing surveys to our various stakeholders, with instantaneous results as they come in. The features in the software are easy to use and intuitive, what you see is what you get! I would recommend it to any organisation, large or small.
  • Colour coding for project status
  • Live updates on project progress as they happen
  • Ability to share files and discuss online
  • Update Feed (inbox) is a new useful tool, all updates in one place.
I find the features and choices available in constructing our surveys particularly useful, they allow for multiple different formats for questions and answers with the ability to add logos, etc. to quickly allow the user to identify who the survey is from. They can choose to be anonymous when answering, and it really is such a useful tool for our community members to air their views.

monday.com is used to streamline our workflow process. It has provided greater visibility to any items that may be 'stuck in the pipeline.' We used to run many reports and have to filter through a ton of data to achieve certain metrics. With monday.com, we have used it to build dashboards full of graphs/charts that provide us with live data instantaneously. Normally there are multiple monday.com tabs open in my browser and this has become a place to house so many of our processes/activities for work.
  • The dashboards you can make are great
  • The integration between boards and ability to mirror
  • Customization of automations and it seems like an unlimited amount
  • The notification adjustments that can be made to fit each users need/want
  • The feature I'd love is to be able to tab between the boxes/columnswhen you are in the item card view
  • Also in item card view, being able to print those
  • Showing the overall total on a graph would be helpful. Right now you have to use one widget for the bar graph and another for the grand total
In my opinion, monday.com can be used in any scenario. Some might take longer to setup the flow/automations, but I feel there is always a possible way to use one of the templates. The only thing I have not used it for is to track spending/build a budget. It doesn't seem as friendly to use with the monday.com templates now.

It is used in the company to carry out projects, we have a portfolio of projects by areas to monitor it, with interactions and notifications so that each one of those responsible can make changes to each status. We implement request forms with monday.com to have an order and prioritization of each request raised or requested by the workers. monday.com has helped us a lot to be able to order our work and make it more collaborative every day, having achieved many achievements in recent years based on compliance.
  • automatic mailing
  • collaborative work
  • integration with other systems
  • in the forms to be able to incorporate conditioning questions
  • everyone can download files and not just monday members
  • notifications are often stopped without prior notice

We use it to maintain numerous things - from budgets and goals to daily tasks and marketing schedules. It makes it easy for us to track and let people multiple times know what projects are being worked on and which ones are getting finished or being pushed back. It makes communication overall easier since we can always update and upload files to each task, so no need to send emails or to tell where it is in our company shared drive.
  • It does great at listing the information and making tabs customizable
  • I like how it lets us upload links and not just documents
  • I think it can improve on it's export feature most of the time it gets all wacky when exporting to an excel sheet
It doesn't have a chat feature like most task management software des - which honestly most people use Teams, Slack or Asana anyways so I like how monday.com doesn't try to do TOO MUCH because then some point in an org, there might be too at many cooks in the kitchen.

We use monday.com to act as our CRM, our project management tool for all events we host, as well as our day to day planning of tasks for each department and management of client comms and onboarding. As a business we rely heavily on monday.com for end-to-end tracking - where there are the likes of Salesforce and HubSpot and other CRM systems, monday.com has multiple integrations into other platforms and services we use such as Typeform and ActiveCampaign, and really does make it easier for the seamless management of all of our clients, their quotes and bookings as well as all of our admin that's involved into the running of Share to Buy.
  • Automations between boards for auto-updates
  • CRM system of managing quotes and bookings with the ability of sending quotes directly from monday.com
  • Dashboards for sales monitoring
  • Brilliant support team!
  • The ability to set up more automations with Outlook that involve branding on emails would be great, rather than just simple plain-text emails from the main integration centre
  • Ability to allow more functionality for when uploading excel documents, such as bringing in formulas already set on spreadsheets
  • More training to be available on how to use the sales dashboards and building these to suit custom purposes.
For managing our clients, monday.com has been well suited as it allows us to store key contact information, their account information including any correspondence and bookings made as well as their overall spend levels in one place. We're still yet to find an instance where monday.com hasn't been as appropriate, as so far we've put everything into the system and it's been working for us flawlessly!

I use monday.com as the main place for our workflow. From the BAU content on our site, to focused campaigns as well as calendars of content and announcements. Notifications and automations are key to the way we work and we use monday.com's extensive suite of automations and features to keep up to date with the various team members across various boards.
  • Automations - an easy way to notify users in pre-approve and unique ways
  • Update threads and tagging of users
  • An equivalent of a Google Sheet page would be welcome
  • A simple, multiple user calendar. One in which Annual Leave could be easily mapped.
It is extremely well suited to manage campaigns, BAU and general workflow. With its Updates, assigning of Users at different stages of an Items journey and the automations and notifications that you can create, monday.com enables everyone involved to have excellent sight of the state that a piece of work is in.

It is also very good at enabling its users to filter their teams' pages, especially when wanting to view content associated with themselves or certain users.

I am a newer user to monday.com but love it. It has really helped streamline multiple workflows and manage technology integration projects. I love the ability to automate, send notifications and use formulas.
  • Customizable automation which saves so much time
  • Ability to store documents and communications throughout the process
  • Templates for when you are not sure how to start your board
  • integrate AI for formulas
Excellent use case: Managing projects and tracking status across teams (including external partners). I have one board specifically to track the progress of technology/API integration

Not so great: it is not a CRM and not easily searchable like a database. It is much better suited for workflows and projects

I use monday.com to manage projects of various sizes as well as my own to-do list. I manage multiple concurrent projects as well as routine program management tasks and keep track of everything on monday.com. Being able to see all of my tasks across projects and workstreams lets me prioritize my work, stay on ahead of deadlines, and evaluate my workload capacity to prevent bottlenecks. By adding hours estimates to tasks and using the workload and Gantt views, I'm able to see how much capacity I have on any given week and can quickly respond to requests with realistic response timeframes to keep my stakeholders informed.
  • Task tracking across projects and workstreams
  • Workload balancing
  • Maintain team visibility of work progress
  • Outlook integration is clunky; it's hard to track recurring invites with updates
  • Mirroring can get complicated, it would help to have a "zoomed out" view to see connections across boards.
  • Would like to see more Agile-focused templates
monday.com works well for tracking long-term work with multiple tasks that occur in relatively predictive workflows and for tracking multiple projects that have similar task structures. The key in my experience has been to map out the concept you want for your team and then begin building boards to suit.

monday.com is less suited for short-term, non-uniform projects that coordinate to support a larger effort like program management and development. Granularity of Board>Group>Item>Sub-items across coordinated projects can be difficult to align. Particularly when using the platform with a team, laying out ground rules or an SOP for the team to follow is very important to maintain quality of information entered on boards.

Great tool for many uses within an organization ranging from project management to CRM to marketing. I most use this platform as an ATS and it works great. I'm actually able to customize it more than other ATS out there which makes my life easier. I am tech savvy, but not an IT pro, and I have no problem with easily using this platform for everything I need and more. The many integrations are very useful and again, make my life better with saving time.
  • Easy to understand for tech savvy individuals looking to save time.
  • Easily integrates with many other platforms making life easier.
  • Easily customizable for my use cases. My use cases are not the ordinary on here, but works very well and saves me time and money vs. the other options.
  • Scalability concerns. This is a great platform for SMBs, but may not work particularly well in large organizations.
  • Difficult for the non tech savvy user. Longer ramp time for them.
  • Some automations are limited, but they are improving each month.
This software has a wide range of application and is very easy to use for the tech savvy user. Can be used anywhere from project management to CRM to marketing and in between. Many different areas that can be customized to fit your needs. Highly recommend using this software for all our needs. May not be suited for large organiztions.

We use monday.com for our Weekly meetings, tasks, and events. monday.com keeps us organized, seamless visibility for the organization. It allows us to be timely and focus on the most critical tasks upfront. We have processes that allow for checks and balances so tasks do not derail us. monday.com allows us to organize our daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
  • Create a clear view of tasks for the company to complete
  • Create a clear view of tasks for individuals to complete
  • Notifying an employee of a new task that needs to be completed
  • Send reminders for task that have deadlines
  • If monday.com could sync with our lending platform to ensure check amounts match that would be great
  • A summary of what a workspace is about would be nice

The past few years, I've used monday.com to provide project/task direction in cooperation with my client's team. We utilize it for a wide range of projects, from marketing projects to technical projects to accounting projects. Due to the nature of my client's business, monday.com has been invaluable for tracking everything that needs to be referenced for legal purposes when monthly audits take place. Everything from thorough project descriptions, ongoing communication on tasks between team members and stakeholders, and tracking approvals before publishing changes makes for a much smoother audit process.
  • Team collaboration using the comments and "updates" within projects/tasks
  • Providing thorough direction on projects and tasks within descriptions
  • Proper team member assignment for projects and tasks
  • Ability to add attachments to projects and tasks to mitigate initial requests
  • Categorization of projects/tasks makes it easier to see where things are at on the fly
  • Having the ability to export all projects/tasks in a CSV format while using a filter (i.e. date filtering, whom tasks are assigned to, etc.) would help a lot during audits.
  • For developers, it would be extremely useful to track code changes on feature requests, such as integration with GitHub.
  • The ability to add task dependencies would be invaluable. This would allows team members to be alerted when a project has landed on their plate after those before them have completed necessary tasks.
If your team needs to collaborate on a daily basis, and especially if there are remote members on your team, using monday.com as your project management platform is extremely recommended. Between the web interface and the amazing mobile app, collaboration is made very easy and allows all involved to see clearly where a project or task is. If your org is priority driven, monday.com also makes it easy to place tasks where you want them on your priority stack.

We have a variety of use cases within our business. We are a team that spans multiple time zones and monday.com helps us collaborate across those time zones as well as between departments. It's great as a single source of truth for big projects. Additionally, we use it for the following:
  • Content calendars
  • Project Tracking
  • Budget Tracking
  • Interaction between design and marketing
  • Project Management - keeping track of project owners, allowing links to files, etc...
  • Interfaces well with other platforms the company uses (e.g., Slack)
  • Collaboration - allows easy asynchronous communication
  • I think there is always room for more templates. Sometimes it helps to have something that is directionally correct to start from
  • Easier way to toggle where you're receiving notifications. I feel like I'm frequently getting push notifications, slack notifications, and emails for the same things
  • Easier integration with Miro would be ace.
monday.com is a great, user friendly, intuitive project tracker and way to collaborate. It's not as overwhelming as platforms like Trello and Wrike but still does a great job. It's terrific for collaboration, keeping track of documents/receipts, and creating content/marketing calendars and task trackers. If you are doing extremely complex project management I'm not sure it would be my first choice.
