  • Allows for customisation in terms of our risk management framework
  • Outlines outstanding work under "My Work"
  • Allows for notification of colleagues in an clean and smooth way.
  • The billing model is awful for small businesses! monday.com makes you feel like they are doing you a favour. You literally pay for seats you don't use. The billing model should be a per seat model!
  • There are too many addons from monday.com and 3rd party vendors that you have to pay for. The value of those addons is debatable are often rebuildable outside of monday.com in a single use spreadsheet (which pay monthly for an addon that you only need to use once in a while?) or organisations are already using something else in their tech stack for that addon.

  • I like the flexibility of monday.com to specify custom fields and types of fields. One can have as many fields as necessary including different types of fields
  • I like the automation feature that creates tasks automatically or updates tasks automatically
  • I like the dashboard feature
  • I would like monday.com to improve the functionality to inherit permissions from the master board. Every time a new board is created, permissions need to be set
  • it would be great to allow boards to have boards within them. Currently we can have as many boards but not boards within boards
  • It could have more folders. Only maximum 2 folders are allowed
  • It could have better subtask functionality. If sub tasks are created, there are lot of clicks and scrolling

  • Allows for threaded conversations and easy upload of media to tickets.
  • Let users create a form and share it quickly.
  • Although it's easy to set up a general board quickly, it is difficult to control how you want to VIEW the board. I.e., re-arranging columns or setting the ability to view a summary of the ticket.
  • I have a hard time being aware of all my mentions/notifications within Monday.
  • I wish that it were easier to respond from Slack into a monday ticket. In fact, if all interactions could be completed through Slack that would make my life easier.

  • Allows us to track progress of projects on a line by line basis
  • Allows all users to see what items they have scheduled for themselves today, tomorrow, etc.
  • Allows the Senior Leadership team to gain a very high level view of who is doing what and when it is scheduled to be completed.
  • The ability to track time against tasks and sub tasks is not very good. Multiple users cannot track time against one "ticket" at once.
  • The speed of the app is sometimes questionable, considering we use it all day and night, it often is as responsive as we'd like it to be.,
  • The search leaves a lot to be desired. Often tickets/items are archived so we rely on Searching for items to bring back necessary context, this Search UI doesn't always yield any or accurate results.

  • It's not cohesive. There are times we wish we could integrate certain automation but it's not possible.
  • It doesn't have as much space for the amount of data we need.

  • It is easy layout goals, measures, and track progress.
  • It provides a quick overview of progress on projects and goals for administration.
  • I would like to be able to have more sub levels on projects.
  • I have not been able to figure out how to set up weekly repeating tasks which would help my administrator see weekly work flow.

  • It was also used to publish some of our purchase orders so everyone could see the progress.
  • It was used to track our infrastructure testing at our locations.
  • Perhaps less data needs to be given when creating a project or task.

  • One of the best visual tools for representing basic status and tasks.
  • Inline editing saves alot of time by not saving all the time.
  • Easy to structure content for editing purposes.
  • There is a lack of administration of permission levels. There is only Admin or Viewer. There is middle tier contributor type permission and presents structural risk to your grids.
  • Lack of customizability of notification types. Basic notifications are either on/off, and they lack detail requiring you to go to the site to see what is happening.
  • Setup of boards/grids and their arrangement do not carry over consistently from user to user.
  • Updates to items are logged and can be versioned, but following the information is not intuitive.
