Excellent Backup Solution that doesn't break the Bank!
I've used NAKIVO Backup & Replication for my previous work and was very happy with it and recommended the same to my current job. The administrator approved my request so now I'm using it on our VMware infrastructure to backup/restore VMs. The UI is very easy to use and it works as advertised. We have three Servers and a Synology server where the NAKIVO Backup & Replication is installed. This combination works great for our needs. Really happy with this product and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. And lastly, the price is good!

We implemented Nakivo as backup solution for our vmware infrastructure. We were looking for an easy, cheap and powerfull product.Nakivo has got all these characteristics.
We wanted a solution that permits us to have a sort of "black box" against the ransomwares, so we directly installed it on our QNAP NAS. We also use it to backup some physical machines we have and everything is easily manageable from the same dashboard.

A great experience with Nakivo
In the company we use Nakivo Backup & Replication as our backup system for our most important systems and databases such as the backup of our virtual servers and data security. It helps us commercially to be constantly in production day by day, so by maintaining this backup system we ensure that we can get our systems up and running again in the shortest time possible in the event of a disaster, be it a cyber attack or a natural disaster. In this way we avoid having economic requests or delays with the service of our clients since we are a company of tourist services.

Awesome Backup App and a Worthy One for its UI!
NAKIVO Backup & Replication has an awesome administration console. It is easy to configure, and it gives very rich performance when the tasks or jobs run. It has a good approach to expanding the backup destination. we had evaluated for at least a month or so and found this one and another product are almost similar but NAKIVO Backup & Replication stands out when the UI comes. It takes only a few minutes to set up then it has the feature to copy backup offsites, such as AWS s3, Azure storage, or BlackBlaze, etc. With less than 50 VMs, it requires just the inbuilt transporter but for more an additional transporter can be easily added quickly from the console itself. Licensing also looks really transparent and easy to apply.

After a client acquired a Synology NAS, we learned about Nakivo's product, which in addition to offering us everything that Veeam offered, was cheaper and we could run it from the NAS itself, where we planned to store the information. This meant eliminating a server with the costs that this entails (operating system and protection licenses, electricity consumption, etc.). In addition to being cheaper, it simplified production start-up and management because it was very intuitive. So far, we have not suffered any loss of information, which is the most critical aspect of this service. The constant development and continuous improvements of the product are also attractive to us. In short, Nakivo is a Backup utility that can compete perfectly with the best-known applications deployed in large multinationals (you have to check compatibility with the infrastructure), but also, thanks to its prices, it is affordable for any type of business; both small and medium-sized companies, putting within reach of an SME, the security with which any multinational could work.

Our company had been using various products for our clients to
create a solid backup and disaster recovery platform and wanted to
consolidate our data management tools into a single platform. The
market for those tools has been evolving over the years in
PC/Server platforms. Our expertise dates from 1973 and IBM
mainframes and as such we have high standards for best practices
in data management. The attributes that we use to judge a product
are data security, data integrity, flexibility, interface
usability, technical support and cost . We started using Nakivo
several years ago when searching for a product and company that
met those criteria for our clients VMware infrastructure.
Nakivo meets our overall criteria and exceeds them with their technical support. Having been in the industry since 1973 we have never seen such responsive and competent technical support. We have had few issues over the last few years and most have been resolved within a day. They have always responded to the support request tickets within a couple of hours and continue a fast response until the issue is resolved.
They have also continued to increase the flexibility of their products. We have begun to use their physical machine product which is fully integrated with their management platform. This will give our company and clients a single interface for data backup and disaster recovery. The product management portal is very comprehensive and intuitive . The online help documentation is also excellent. The experience to date with the physical machine support has been very positive.
Overall we are pleased with the cost even though they are not the lowest cost vendor but neither are they the highest cost. Based on all of the criteria we feel that they are the most cost effective solution in the market today.

A great choice for backing up VMs
After a physical to virtual migration of several machines, I needed good backup software to protect these new VMs. With a smaller infrastructure it didn't make a lot of sense to spend the money on a subscription to Veeam when I could buy a license for a one time fee. Now we have organized daily, and weekly backups that get sent off site as well for DR purposes. Also the email alert is very useful, I get email notifications everything a job completes or fails so I always know what is going on with my backups.

A software easy to configure and use. A product that fulfills its purpose, backing up the servers and replicating. The settings are very simple steps to follow, understand and configure to your liking, you don't even need a manual to access it. Make the Backups quickly and if you need to restore the virtual ones, it does it in the same way. The user interface is easy to use and apparently in the most recent version it is very user friendly. My experience: It has saved me more than once, I have my servers always backed up and I don't have to worry about any failure within it. The support is fast and they always keep you informed 10/10.

The best solution in affordable price
NAKIVO stands out from all other backup and replication solutions out there when it comes to backing up virtual servers, physical servers, Office 365, and many more. The product is handy and user-friendly when restoring files and/or restoring an entire server. We use it for all our clients every single day and have very few issues, their support team is very responsible and helpful to resolve any issue within a short period of time.

NAKIVO Backup and Replication
NAKIVO can be an easy-to-use software. The software is reliable, and we have had few problems with NAKIVO in terms of backups and operation. It offers easy backup management. We use functions like VM replication,
backup, backup to cloud and copy jobs to transfer the backups to external media. The last one could use some improvement. The user interface is a bit confusing sometimes. If you are dealing with complicated network structures, it can be quite difficult to set up. Connection NAKIVO to AWS, GOOGLE, O365 is not easy. Currently there is no app for smartphones with statuses of currently running jobs.You also can't monitor multiple clients at the same time. Some of the functions are a bit too technical and can easily confuse normal day-to-day users.
- It offers easy backup management. We use functions like VM replication, backup, backup to cloud and copy jobs to transfer the backups to external media. The last one could use some improvement.
- The user interface is a bit confusing sometimes. If you are dealing with complicated network structures, it can be quite difficult to set up. Connection NAKIVO to AWS, GOOGLE, O365 is not easy.

We operate Nakivo since 2015 at our customers as standalone instances, in MSP mode (Backup-as-a-service) and also for our internal purposes. We backup mostly VMware infrastructures and, as of last year, the Microsoft 365 tenants. As a service provider, we benefit from the central console where all the instances are shown in a single pane of glass which helps to track backup runs and storage consumptions. Immutability and WAN-optimized backup replication keeps our customer's data safe and always available. The most common recovery case is granular file recovery, however in some rare cases also full VM recovery is asked. Retention policies are flexible enough to fit our customers needs and the change block tracking along with easy-to-maintain incremental backups increased the recovery points from daily to hourly, in specific file-share scenarios up to 15 min snapshots.

Exceptional Experience
We have been using NAKIVO Backup & Replication for our backup and replication solution for the last 6 years. We needed to minimize the impact of ransomware incidents on our business continuity and ensure that our data is easily recoverable. NAKIVO Backup & Replication has made that possible with ease. The product is easy to manage for any IT person who is new to backup. The product is also easy to implement whether you are doing on-premise or cloud.

- It improved a lot in the past years and at this point I don't have anything to report.
We had to carry out a technological renewal of our software infrastructure based on Vmware Vsphere with storage on Qnap nas made of file share storage, ~60 virtual machines, 3.4 TB of data. We were looking for an easy-to-manage solution capable of backing up both network shares and Vsphere, possibly without having to allocate new hardware or expensive software resources.
- Can be installed natively on nas appliances leveraging the use of underutilized appliances. No need to install the software on Windows or Linux Servers.
- Backup natively Vmware Virtual Machines and File Shares (you need to buy the right license modules).
- Destination storage for backups (or of the backup copies) can be Microsoft shares, Amazon S3, Wasabi, Backblaze and remotely to other sites using their transporter vm.
- To not overload the system with overlapping jobs, they can be chained one after the other.
- Rapid add/remove/reorder priority of vm to backup and their backup archive. Jobs can be easily changed or chained.
- Quick support service
- The file share recover via CIFS should be able to recover files directly into the filesystem (along with security settings) instead of downloading a zip file.
- Currently, backup of File Shares to Amazon S3/Wasabi is not supported.
- Email notifications should have a customizable subject that supports the use of some predefined variables that will be expanded when sending.
- It would also be useful to see on the Backup view of a repository the number of recovery points for each object and the backup type for each row.
- When navigating the Backup view of VM repository and there are several protected virtual machines, you have several pages to navigate to reach a specific vm. However, after entering the detail view of a backup, when you click the "<" on the page, you are returned to the first page of repository instead of being returned to the nth page you were on before.
- On the Backup view of a VM repository, it would be nice to have a tooltip showing the summary data of the backup you are hovering over (or by clicking the hyperlink).

Excellent and easy to use product for backup and replication of their existing Data Bases and Sharing Folders, giving visibility on tasks and finished jobs, which saves time and makes management easy. Being reliable is also very important as they can fully focus on other things and also it is highly price competitive.

Currently I use the product to back up 5 virtual machines which are distributed on 3 physical servers, and the daily backup is done locally on a synology server and on Saturdays to the wazabi cloud, for now it is I have had problems with some virtual machines but I have already solved it, it has been a versioning issue and when updating it it has worked without problems, I have also carried out a restoration test and the virtual machine has worked without problems.
It seems exceptional to me since I have had a lot of support from them as a partner, something that is not seen with other products and they are always willing to give space to review any problem, this is something that with other providers you have to review with the vendor and never with the vendor. develops the product, even in the matter of prices it seems to me something very adjusted to the product which has been innovating year after year.

We use Nakivo Backup & Replication to back up a customer's VMWare-based infrastructure: two ESXi nodes with ~15 VMs and a NAS to store their data. We needed something easy to implement, suitable for a small but growing infrastructure, and with a license model that could fit our not so huge budget.

We use NAKIVO Backup & Replication to back up critical VMs. With this software we solve our problems with VMs backups. It is very easy to configure the backup and very powerful, fast and intuitive. We can backup VMs of different windows server version, 2012R2, 2016, 2019 or 2022. We can keep our information safe and, probably, we extend the use to physical environments. The cost is effective and we recommend NAKIVO Backup & Replication.

Nakivo - Fast, Reliable and Affordable Backup
NAKIVO Backup & Replication is used in our company for backup of the company business software, VMware virtual appliances, and Microsoft Office 365 One Drive and Outlook data. The solution is easy to implement, has a user-friendly interface, and allowed us to quickly and reliably create backups. The backup validation and instant recovery options made our regular disaster recovery procedure checkup much easier and saved us a lot of time. Recovery of files or emails is straightforward and quite simple and makes life much easier when users accidentally delete their files. The immutable storage feature provides an additional level of security and protection. On top of this, the solution is affordable and has flexible licensing models.
