(1-18 of 18)Nextiva makes us more productive
- Intuitive administration
- Voicemail to text delivered to email
- Softphone setup
- Management of texting app
- would rather see 4 digit exts instead of DD
- auto-update directory when new phones are added
A couple programs love the voicemail to text in email option.
Have not had luck with the texting app on smartphones ..... too many hoops to jump through since the law changed about business texting.
An Excellent VoIP service for the right price!
Without having a the call functionality that Nextiva Business Phone Service offers, we wouldn't be able to effectively communicate with our customers or even between each other. The scope of our use case is basic auto-attendents with call routing, extension routing and voice mail tracking to make sure all of our calls are being responded to in a timely manner
- Up-time, We've never had any sort of extended downtime because of Nextiva Business Phone Service, there services just work
- Provisioning of supported devices is very easy to do and is almost automatic, this makes new device roll out especially smooth
- The call flow functionality is especially smooth and intuitive to setup.
- Their customer service is very effective and I've never waited more than 2 days for a solution, that's for more complicated issues too.
- Their website seems to have a lot of issues, navigation on there is not especially smooth either. Many times I'm trying to find some settings or logs that just don't seem to be there or are hidden behind menus that don't make sense.
- I'd like to be able to have a high level administrative view of our account. Many times I'm trying to find a particular extension that isn't utilized often and it's tied to a call group or something else that I didn't know about.
- Overall I think the UI/UX needs some improvement from an admin point of view to make managing the account easier and more effective.
I think if you have a lot of users say over 200, it can become difficult to manage the changes/additions that are made. This is where I think my suggestion of a higher level view of the account overall would help a lot to keep track of everything.
5* on functionality and support
- Nextiva mobile client - having the ability to be reachable with my number and extension anywhere is a great asset.
- Call / Team routing. For those that don't have a direct agent extension, a one click transfer can ring on multiple phones ensuring that call gets answered.
- SMS with my direct line also helps to save time on a call when a simple confirmation can be sent directly to my number
- The only main thing we would like to see is for the core business number to accept SMS and send to multiple numbers as opposed to just "the receptionist"
- Reporting features on finding specific incoming numbers doesn't exist so would be a good feature as well.
- Call blocking. We had an issue with a harassing number calling and we had to go through support, so having the ability to see and block numbers in the portal would be a good feature.
I don't have experience with a larger company but don't see why it would be any different,
Robust feature-rich software for a great price.
- Make onboarding easy and back it up with support. This lead to no service downtime for our customers while we transitioned.
- Make their software very intuitive and user friendly while providing a good knowledgebase if you need a refresh or get stuck figuring something out on your own as I like to do.
- Being very friendly and attentive when questions were being asked for needs we had.
- The use of two apps when you're a supervisor. We have to use Unity and the Nextiva app instead of one app. It can be cumbersome.
- Better integration with CRM's. We use Zendesk and it works ok as it does pull up customer records if we have their phone number on file. But it would be better if we could have more functionality from one place and have it write to the CRM directly.
- Accept higher quality audio for greeting recordings. We had to trim the file size down several times losing a lot of audio quality in the process. Mono is fine since callers will only need to hear the one channel. But the Hz limit and file size limit were rough.

Nextiva is the only thing your business is missing!
- Recorded greetings for holidays and day to day communication with customers
- Customer service is very communicative
- The online site is simple to use to edit settings or adjust users permissions
- It is a bit difficult to understand how to transfer calls from one desk phone to another.
- There is no way to delete messages out of the app to keep everything organized and clean.
- Sometime the service remotely on the app is worse then normal phone service.
Nextiva, Great quality at a great price.

Nextiva is great for small business.
- Price
- Ease of Use
- Setup
- Versatility (Apps Vs. Physical devices)
- The free phone could be a bit nicer (the one they send is functional but that's all I'll give it)
- The initial setup of the free desk phone is a bit confusing if you aren't willing to wait for their onboarding team.
One of the best VOIP systems on the market!
- mobile communications
- virtual faxing
- deployment of the system
- system maintenance and upgrades
- open SIP integrations
- voicemail-to-email
- call quality
- customer service and support

- I would like for the phones to have the web interface feature activated by default when they come from the factory instead of having to turn that feature on manually
- I would like to be able to adjust call flows from the visual graphic diagram by "drag&drop"

Reliable, Simple, efficient VOIP: Nextiva
- Customer Service: By far one of the best in the industry, always can get a hold of a rep and they take care of any issues very quickly.
- Ease of use: The softphone for desktop and for mobile devices is intuitive and easy to use.
- Offer multiple products depending on your needs: Not everyone needs a call center or full-out conferencing solution. Nextiva has several plans to give business owners just what they need.
- Reliability: I have used Nextiva for over 6 years and I have never experienced a full outage. I think maybe once or twice in that 6-year span they had some issues with softphones logging in, but outside of that, call quality and dependability have been great.
- Integration: Although they do integrate with Outlook and a few other third-party services, compared to some other VOIP vendors they don't integrate as deeply and their integrations are somewhat basic.
- Update their documentation on the website: Although they have a lot of documentation, sometimes they still have older screen shots and could try and update some of that material.
- Adding Contacts: The way you add contacts and request each other is kind of weird. You need to do this in order to see their status. You can see everyone in the global address book but without adding a person as a contact you cannot see if they are on a call or not. I think out of the box the address book (or at least the directory) should already be able to see the status and you should not have to request them as a contact.
If you are looking for a service that will integrate with many other third-party products you may use already, you may want to look at another VOIP vendor that has deeper integrations with third-party applications. If you are looking for the lowest price VOIP system, although Nextiva is not the most expensive, it is still in the middle of the pack when it comes to pricing. If you are looking for just cheap simple VOIP you may be able to find some vendors that are a little bit more affordable.
- Our teams are located in three different countries. This includes Administration, Customers Support, Technical Support, and Sales. All of us have an internal number reachable from any mobile or laptop.
- Looking for the internal directory and dialing a three digit number is very easy. We communicate with workers in different countries as we where in the same building
- User-friendly application with availability indicator, call settings, and personal preferences.
- Being a top VOIP provider with plenty of capabilities, it is difficult to show missing functionalities or fault. This, like a better call log with the customizable report, is desirable but is based on personal taste more than a lack of performance.
- More packages including the conference bridge.
- GUI could be customizable with corporate branding.
