Community Insights

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Ease of Use: NinjaOne's intuitive interface, simple setup process, and seamless navigation have garnered praise from users for enhancing productivity and ease of operations. The platform's user-friendly design contributes to a positive user experience, allowing for quick adaptation and efficient utilization.

Remote Screen Sharing/Control Feature: Users value the remote screen sharing/control functionality in NinjaOne as it streamlines troubleshooting processes, facilitates immediate connections to client systems, and enables swift resolution of technical issues. This feature not only saves time but also enhances collaboration between users and support teams.

Prompt Support Services: The commendable responsiveness and effectiveness of NinjaOne's support team are consistently highlighted by users who appreciate the timely assistance, expert guidance in issue resolution, and personalized attention provided. The prompt support services contribute significantly to user satisfaction and smooth operational continuity.

Event Log Display: Some users have found the event log display for endpoint events to be lean and lacking filter options, which has resulted in difficulties tracking and managing events effectively within the system. For example, not being able to filter events based on specific criteria hinders quick identification of critical issues.

Connection Errors: Users have encountered connection errors without accompanying error codes or reasons, leading to challenges in troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly. This lack of detailed error information prolongs the resolution time for connectivity problems, impacting user productivity negatively.

Software Management Limitations: Reviewers expressed frustration with limitations in third-party patch management, the absence of a remote deployment function, and the need for broader software visibility across devices. Specifically, users highlighted the inconvenience of not being able to deploy software remotely and having limited control over patching processes.

I use NinjaOne every day for users in the company to submit support tickets so we can resolve issues as well as check PC health and push out updates. The dash board will tell us when things need updating and we can see which computers are updated versus the ones that are not. It is nice to use NinjaOne to do my daily IT tasks and make sure people are taken care of.
  • See computer health / updates needed
  • Ticketing system for users to submit issues
  • remote connection for helping users out.
This works well, deployment is easy and seeing everything in the dashboard has been awesome. Saves lots of time from having to update systems one by one. We can now push updates to specific computers or all of them with a few clicks of the button. We can also deny updates like windows 11 and keep everyone on windows 10. Remote connecting to computers is quick and easy.

I manage many devices remotely and love how easy it is to look up a device and find all of its information. I have quick access to task manager, hardware resource usage over the past hour, registry access, file access, services, and remote CMD and Powershell. I often remote to devices across three geographic locations making management much easier. I can run scripts, manage Windows updates, and 3rd party patching with some simple configuration. There is also an audit log of all devices that keeps track of who logs into the computer and when they have been rebooted among many other changes to each device. NinjaOne is always adding new features like the recently added MDM add-on. Now I can manage my Android and iOS devices much easier and there are some nice granular controls in place so that I can make sure that the devices are only used for work.
  • Patch management
  • Device Auditing
  • Remote Access
  • Scripting
  • Scheduled Tasks
  • Dynamic Groups
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Ticketing
This is more geared towards MSPs and less for internal IT. It still works well for internal IT but it's clearly made for MSPs.

I use NinjaOne to connect remotely to our clients' individual workstations and servers. NinjaOne allows me to diagnose and fix issues that are not hardware related. I am able to provide admin credentials when software is needed to be installed. It's a great tool to have. We can also use it for the clients to connect to their offsite machines while at home, thus eliminating the need for a VPN.
  • Connect to remote machines
  • Allow software installation and removal
  • Allow tasks to be completed using a command line
  • Allow scripts to be pushed to machines
I have not run into any scenario where NinjaOne is not suited for my needs. Everything that I need it for works well without any issues.

We utilize Ninja as an RMM - Endpoint Management, Patch Management, Remote Access, and Software Deployment. This tool allows us to run scripts against various endpoints, deploy antivirus and other various software against our entire scope, ensure that Windows and 3rd party patching are up to date, and login and resolve issues as needed. NinjaOne has empowered our IT team with the tools needed to maintain a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment.
  • Patch Management
  • Script Deployment
  • API Access
  • Endpoint Management
Ninja's patch management has made our lives much easier. After an initial clean up of older devices, we were able to successfully deploy patching on over 93% of our devices only needing manual intervention on the remaining 7%.

We do not use the ticketing system, documentation, or backups at this time. They are still newer features and we feel like are not ready for a partner of our size.

NinjaOne is our primary means for remote monitoring and management to perform patching and our ability to remotely troubleshoot devices among 40+ clients. It allows us to get detailed asset management reports as well as other reports. We can use it to push new applications and patch other third-party applications beyond the operating system. We like the ability to send alerts on different event log IDs and if the computers are offline.
  • Remote connections
  • Patching
  • Notifications and alerts
I like the constant development most. We now have MDM for all of the tablets and phones, which is great for a lot of the point of sale devices where they aren't necessarily logged into the device with a M365 account for Intune management. We like the NinjaOne remote tool over Splashtop or other remote software we've seen. It just works and has nice integration for printing, and file access without remoting onto the PC. The same goes for being able to run command line or PowerShell without removing the user from his or her session. It is unobtrusive to the end users.

We use NinjaOne for all our remote management and monitoring projects. We also have Microsoft Intune, but we pretty much just use it to push out the Ninja Agent because NinjaOne's support, customer community engagement, and ease of use far exceed what we've known from any other product. NinjaOne allows this one-man-team to manage the entire multi-site organization fleet from anywhere in the world, significantly shortening troubleshooting to resolution timelines.
  • Community involvement
  • Scripting automation
  • Ticketing
  • Remote connection
NinjaOne is excellent at remote management. I particularly value the NinjaRemote connection management and automated scripting. They would continue to improve macOS patching and Linux support, but those are already on the product roadmap.

We use NinjaOne to manage our PCs and servers. We brought in NinjaOne to help automate software installations, patch management and generally the ability to manage our PCs and servers. We currently have NinjaOne deployed to all our PCs and servers, which are running either Windows or a flavor of Linux. We have our PCs to auto patch windows updates and we are making use of the built in software patching of other products as well. We have some of the servers auto patching that are not as critical. We have also written a number of scripts to make changes to the PCs or add software as the need has arised.
  • Windows Patch management
  • Generally gaining access to the systems either through cli or splashtop
  • Script management to be able to address setting configuration items
Again windows patching and now reporting on patching. Using their antivirus/malware integrations has worked well for us. Their ability to have custom reports of misconfigured missing software, etc. We have seen al ot of improvement since we started using it 2 years ago.

We use NinjaOne as our primary patch compliance software. With NinjaOne, we are able to set different policies based on the Device or VM. We currently have 30+ VMs and 100-150 End user devices that NinjaOne manages patches for us. We also use the built-in ability to remote into those systems as needed. This makes life a lot easier for helpdesk to triage issues for our end users and our higher-level techs to fix any server issues or run maintenance. The dashboard gives you an at a glance view to see any potential issues with your environment. There are built in tools to help you automate tasks or run maintenance via the portals built in "CMD"like tool. We currently use splash top but I believe there are at least 2 other options for remoting into machines.
  • Remote Management
  • Patching
  • Monitoring
  • Automation
It is well suited if you want to easily manage your patching for your end points and servers. The remote function is easy and works well. There are more tools in NinjaOne that I have jet to take advantage of like NMS policies, VMware alerts, and other tasks. It is not well suited with its ticketing system. I gave this a try but was lacking functionality that I really need out of my ticketing system. The reporting was or is missing certain KPI data.

As an service desk member for an MSP, NinjaOne is the primary remote monitoring and connection software we use for client's endpoints and servers. The wide variety of features from remote connection to patching control groups, scheduled tasks, and backend CLI access enables me to efficiently manage hundreds of endpoints on different networks and organisations.
  • Remote screen sharing/control
  • Patch automation and control groups
  • Automated task scheduling that includes scripts with parameters
  • Endpoint resource monitoring
One of our clients has multiple locations across the country, with a variety of user counts, needs, and internet connection types. Ninja One enables us to easily connect remotely to any endpoint to assist a user, maintain automatic updates of applications via patch management, and schedule reboots for endpoints where the user forgets to regularly reboot (often the cause of reported slowness).

An improvement for NinjaOne would be agents/better functionality for Android/Apple tablets, as we are finding that clients are implementing mobility solutions which we can only support by phone call.

Being a MSP (managed service provider) we use NinjaOne to Manage and maintain all of our clients endpoints and servers. Having a few hundred customers of various sizes, NinjaOne allows us to manage them all with ease. Being a PowerShell enthusiast, Having the ability to create and maintain a constant, persistent connection to the devices is super helpful.
  • PowerShell Persistent Connections
  • Single big picture view of all devices being managed
  • Deployment of scripts as system or as user
NinjaOne is well suited for MSP managing multiple Clients. NinjaOne is well suited for individual client use. NinjaOne does not cater well to those who need to do both. NinjaOne does not cater to Client Migration from one MSP to another or from Self hosted client migrating to being MSP managed.

We use NinjaOne as our Remote Management platform. This allows us to maintain remote access to all machines in our environment as well as a jump box to access remote networks. We are also about to roll out the ticketing platform to replace our SharePoint system. My helpdesk would be very difficult without an RMM solution to use and NinjaRMM solves that problem.
  • Installs from Intune with a high success rate
  • Has a built-in ticketing system
  • Offers other products like documentation
  • Offers other products like backups
  • Offers other products like MDM
If you are looking for an affordable solution to RMM that just works, you should consider using NinjaOne. Their platform allows you to lock down the installation and prevent uninstallation by end users, it allows for direct ticket integration within the sys tray icon, and it is a very consistent product that will stay running when it is in use. That is not always the case with RMM solutions and for the price, NinjaOne is great.

We are a Managed Service Provider and as such, we have many different clients in many different verticals with computer systems that we manage for them. NinjaOne allows us to leverage remote access tools, scheduled tasks, automations, alerting, patching, and anti-virus within one seamless portal. My engineers are able to save valuable time and not spend forever trying to connect to a client's system.
  • Remote connections: the NinjaRemote client is spectacular and very easy to use and navigate. It quickly connects to customer systems so my engineers are able to work. As a bonus, they also offer a really good mobile app to connect to client systems.
  • Antivirus: Bitdefender Endpoint Protection is built directly into the NinjaOne portal. This makes deploying and maintaining AV very easy.
  • OS Patching: NinjaOne makes it very easy to handle patching across multiple clients and locations. It is very easy to use and doesn't take long to set up.
  • Support: NinjaOne support is always very prompt and helpful.
  • Documentation: the NinjaOne Dojo is a one-stop shop for all of your FAQs, guides, and forum needs. You can find almost anything here to help you deploy and maintain NinjaOne.
  • Automation Library: NinjaOne comes preloaded with a large number of ready-to-go automations. They also provide you with a scripting module to create your own.
I have already recommended NinjaOne to multiple clients and will continue to do so. I have used DattoRMM, Kaseya, and Connectwise in the past and I personally feel that none of them are even in the same league as NinjaOne. NinjaOne has a great platform which has enabled our organization to streamline operations and achieve many objectives with a single platform. I have been impressed with both the wealth of features coupled with the ease of use. While evaluating products I had narrowed it down to NinjaOne and another competitor. The competing product may have been slightly more powerful, however the UI was much more convoluted and it seemed much more difficult to do simple processes. On top of that the Ninja team is very in-tune with its user base and works with its community in implementing new features and sharing their roadmap. With previous solutions I felt like once we purchased the product their team was done with us. With NinjaOne I think the opposite is true, once I joined the NinjaOne community their was even more communication and constant input, sharing of ideas, and sharing of script/automations between both the NinjaOne team and its community. I always try to keep an eye of new products that are out there, however I have not see anything that has all the features NinjaOne does. I am currently using NinjaOne for endpoint management, remote access with SplashTop, their bundled EDR solution and their built in ticketing system, backup system, and patch management.

NinjaOne is used internally as we have a very small IT team and remote workers. We are able to push out patches, remote monitoring, and various endpoint managment functions easily and efficiently.

Patch management is huge for us, especially since most users are seldomly in the offices and we have too many locations for two IT persons to cover.

We also use the Backup function to backup Windows laptops, again, since the users are not often in a location where a backup server is availalble.

  • Backups
  • Patch Management
  • Remote support
  • Monitoring and Alerting

After covid hit we went from a virtual desktop solution for production employees to laptops. After being able to manage desktops virtually I needed a similar solution to manage all the laptops that suddenly appeared. I had barely started looking at solutions when one day I got a call from NinjaOne. I tried it out and loved it. It did everything I needed it to do - it gave me visibility and manageability for all my laptops (I ended up adding all physical desktops/laptops to it). We added the Splashtop for remote management and that was the perfect fit.
  • Clear insight into the machine - powered up, on the network, etc.
  • I can tell easily at a glance whether the machine is up to date on OS patches.
  • I can remote to the machine anywhere, as long as it has an internet connection and whether or not the user is logged in - a big plus.
  • This is a small point but for me has been important - I know which particular machine is where - I know it's hardware and firmware level.
I think for a small one man shop with many remote employees something like NinjaOne is almost required. This was the solution I chose. I like it, it works well, even with my lack of knowledge of all the features, and the company is great. They really seem to care about their customers.
I would assume it would also be applicable in larger enterprise environments as well. But I really don't feel I can speak to that specifically.

If you're looking into new RMM solutions, please ask the vendors how much they charge to implement the product, or if they know of consultants who can help implement their product for you. NinjaOne will help you with the implementation, but you won't need much help. Our team had never set up an RMM solution before, and we managed to get NinjaOne fully set up in under 4 weeks.

I'm unsure if it would work well for a large-scale MSP. However, it is a very good solution for a small to large size company. The tool will allow you to run a lean team, because it will help you to drive automation.
We use NinjaOne at sites that have domain controllers and sites without domains. The product works great for both environments. Due to our complex environment, it's very nice that we're able to push out changes via NinjaOne instead of Group Policy.

A Must-Have for MSPs and IT Teams

NinjaOne is used for managing and monitoring all of our devices. The number of servers and workstations continually increases, and it's impossible to monitor it all manually. We used to have independent systems for everything, which made it difficult to remotely monitor and manage our devices. Now, everything is under one umbrella for a fair price. It reduces the time it takes to respond to issues. It also proactively alerts us of problems that we can resolve.
  • With Ninja, we are able to have all of our IT tools and management under one umbrella making it extremely easy to keep an eye on all of our servers and workstations.
  • Their support team is OUTSTANDING and gives quick and helpful answers to our questions. Our account manager calls us personally to review any issues and ensure we are running smoothly.
  • Ninja gives us automated patch management of our important devices, and has a nice security log to see what's been done.
NinjaOne is a rock-solid platform that has completely transformed the way we provide IT services to our customers. With Ninja, we are able to have all of our IT tools and management under one umbrella making it extremely easy to keep an eye on all of our servers and workstations. Their support team is OUTSTANDING and gives quick and helpful answers to our questions. Our account manager calls us personally to review any issues and ensure we are running smoothly. However, the look and feel of their product sometimes feels outdated. It does not inhibit our work, it just could be modernized a bit.
