Nintex Process Platform is great for more complex and heavy processes as compared to some other similar tools. Additionally, it offers great support in case of any issues.

Microsoft's SharePoint 2013 workflow has a number of shortcomings that Nintex Workflow just deals with effortlessly. The Nintex tools seem to be built by people who understand how [to] process stuff is done properly, whereas the MS tools are comprehensive but seem to be written by & for programmers. For 365, PowerApps seem to be taking over the world, and not having PowerApps on your CV is a problem.

Nintex Process Platform was pretty comparable to these options. The major things that stood out for Nintex Process Platform, which ultimately made us select it, was the ease of use for the end users and the ability to report on the process. SharePoint workflow was the solution that Nintex Process Platform replaced and it performed much better for end users and management.

Technical staff thinks Nintex stacks up against Power Automate well, short of a string "Connector" story and it is at a disadvantage due to Power Automate being "part" of M365 marketing against that is near impossible. For the most part, we have kept the Nintex platform because of legacy usage. Despite the pricing model of Power Automate, we are using it "by default" for new process automation.

DocuSign doesnt allow us multiple output methods for content and also updating the content is a bit more challenging it seems. Nintex has been easier, better priced and makes it a more compelling app platform with its setting up with salesforce. Logic and approval also is a great addition which docgen provides.

We selected Nintex Process Platform as we already use Nintex products for form and workflow development and are familiar and comfortable with them as a Vendor. The option to tie process automation directly to the processes as drafted in the platform was definitely an added bonus, and the features added since we initially purchased the product (like checklists) have just increased usability.

I have never used any alternative products in this area. Nintex was recommended to me by very experienced people. Subsequently, they even showed me its advantages, so I never needed to look for an alternative.

Unfortunately I have not used other products that are similar to Nintex Process Platforms so it's impossible for me to compare it to any competitors. Not necessarily because of a lack of experience, but because Nintex has thus far continued to not only meet our current needs, but prove feature-rich enough to grow along with us as our needs evolve. We've had no need to search for an alternative as of yet.

Microsoft InfoPath. We felt InfoPath isn't as flexible and the functionality it offered was limited compared to Nintex. Also there was information that InfoPath was going to be discontinued (at that time).

It's rather a question of having resources. When we went to the market to search for any BPM, we came across Nintex as a viable solution and we have experts on this to work with it.

The only other products that I have used are Microsoft SharePoint Designer and Infopath. While I have investigated alternatives in the marketplace it was not to an extent where I can even recall their names. What I do recall is that nothing came as close to offering the functionality that Nintex offers.

Nintex was selected based on several criteria:
  • Pricing model (one shot + yearly support).
  • List of available features.
  • Hardware requirements (no additional server needed).

Other solutions often need additional servers to be fully integrated, so more expenses (Data center, Server licences/support, etc). Nintex Process Platform On-Prem was the most suitable solution for us.

Nintex process platform is so easy for non-IT users to use for themselves and automate their day to day workflows, which is a huge success for the overall organization. Browser-based process modeling and WYSIWYG form builder is a great option for non-IT users without steep learning curve. Nintex online university has got basic training videos that anyone can easily understand and get started with automation themselves.

Nintex is easier to learn than PowerApps. Powerautomate has better performance and flexibility than Nintex Workflow. We selected Nintex for its mature capability and "no-code" functionality.

We have evaluated OOTB designer approaches, Power Automate approaches, and K2 wrt to Nintex. The ideal features that set Nintex apart are:
  • Predefined action items and ease of design using drag and drop.
  • Ability to implement complex processes with fewer hurdles using no to low code approaches.
  • Maintainability of the Nintex workflow solutions.
  • Support from the product group is commendable.
