Nintex is well suited in environments where custom forms are required but you do not need the extra features and complexity of Power Apps. While Power Apps is more feature-rich, Nintex forms is easy to learn and far faster in terms of setup. We can easily build good looking, custom forms in >30 minutes using Nintex and this is not possible with Power Apps. It also does well when quick notifications or approvals are needed in workflows. In general, Nintex is an easier to use solution than Power Platform equivalents, though for some more complex applications, Power Platform is better.

It is well suited when being used outside of SharePoint by custom applications or when all you are looking for is Forms and workflows. As a SharePoint embedded workflow engine it has a long way to go to compete with the likes of Nintex

Nintex Automation Cloud is well integrated with Microsoft teams. We have use case that requires workflow to send alerts to business group Teams channel based on the certain flag (red/amber) status records by users. This use case was easily achieved using Nintex Automation Cloud. Also, NWC supports integration well with SharePoint online and there are certain inbuilt actions that helps to automate the approval workflows easily with conditions. NWC works well with Nintex forms, easily automated the use case requires forms to have repetitive sections, NWC can be used to extract XML data from repetitive sections.

An excellent tool for SharePoint and other enterprise systems migration to automate business processes and achieve the ultimate aim of reducing IT burden and cost reduction through approval for workflow processes for document and item lists, and ease of iteration over batches of documents or list items.
I will like to see an improvement in the ease of scaling complex form designing, enhanced workflow automation, and the improvement in the ease of Integration with RPA tools.

We use it for our workflow system, such as to create complete ServiceDesk application. We integrate it with Microsoft SharePoint as the backend systems, and built the ServiceDesk system on top of it by using Nintex platform. The workflow is mostly used for the forms, such as for the automatic approval processes. The Systems created can also be used as document repository.

Nintex is best suited when processes are drawed by the business and then can be furter enhanced by IT professionals. When only used by business units we see that there are some lose ends in processes and some bagic process knowledge is needed. Therefore it is wise that the persons in the business who will use Nintex have some basic knowledge on how to set up business processes.

Easy to learn and manage and haven't had really big problems with it. Would love to see some more updates and new features on the O365 platform. Recently their weir quite a few of problems because of Microsoft "cloud updates", they should manage that better to prevent problems for their users.

Nintex is exceptionally well-suited for rapidly illustrating various business processes with minimal effort. This is something even IT-savvy colleagues without a direct IT background can quickly learn. For instance, I was able to collaborate with colleagues from the finance department to swiftly establish a process for approving credit applications. However, if the approver requires additional information and requests it, implementing this within Nintex becomes quite challenging. When attempting to convey highly intricate details, Nintex encounters limitations or demands a substantial amount of effort.

The platform allows for very standard processes to be used and would be worth the setup.

It is not well suited for documenting processes when mapping to improve the processes while a team is watching. An application like visio would be much more useful.

Very appropriate: for a big firm. That does not want to move its databases to the cloud. Nintex Process Platform with Sharepoint on a on-prem server is a great solution.

Less appropriate: if it is a smaller firm with for example an integrated MS Azure Stack. Because of the cost of Nintex Process Platform I might be more incline to recommend MS Products like Power Automate.

The process management platform is great for documenting processes and how activities are done. It clearly allows you to identify process inputs and outputs and enables process steps to be logically formed with clear owners for the different activities and tasks. It well suited for processes that have lots of detailed work instructions as you are able to link various file formats including video to describe how an activity is performed. It is also well suited to capture simple request workflows which require a form to kick off a process such as raising a salary change request, travel booking, maintenance etc

Nintex can be very useful and a great means of automating entry and business processes. The problem is that the organization has significantly changed their pricing model to a "per execution" model and they almost tripled the annual cost estimate to our budget. This was very shocking and really poor approach to managing a business relationship. We are looking at other options, not so much because of the tool but because of the organization and how they are running the business.

It seems to be appropriate for everything we've looked at so far and we've none that we can think of where it is less appropriate. It's definitely my first choice when looking to automate a process due to its ease of use and configuration.

Definitely needed for SharePoint on-premises since Power Apps is not available and Power Automate may not meet all needs. Additionally, even if SharePoint Online is used, for folks who are used to GUI tools, Power Apps may be more difficult if more advanced features are needed. Nintex Process Platform's Forms provide the GUI interface for non-developers.
