Non-IT employees use Nintex platform to design workflow through following solutions :
  • Promapp, for business process modeling and documentation. A Promapp business process can then be converted in a Nintex Workflow cloud template
  • Nintex Workflow Cloud Designer
  • Nintex for O365 Designer
Workflow actions that contain complex operations or logic can be initialized by non-IT employees, and then be set up by IT employees.

Yes. I have been creating forms and lists with some basic logic. With some minimal help from our it staff

Non-IT staff is not building Nintex forms or workflows in our organization. We have experimented with it but it did not provide the ROI we hoped for. Non-IT staff had difficulty building robust workflows with sound logic and we ended up spending a lot of time rebuilding poorly designed processes. Nintex works best when used by business analysts or developers as another tool in their kit.

Yes. Non-IT staff are the primary users who fill out the forms that we create. We also have several non-IT people who are developing Nintex Forms. However, everyone comes to the SharePoint Administrator to develop Nintex workflows because they are more complicated and we prefer that workflows are developed in the IT department.

I am not an IT person, for example, but as the tool is very complete and easy to use, I had the initiative to use the tool for the development of the company's Payment Payment Project. People who use what I have developed, use it easily, without difficulty and I have also taught other people how to use the tool, and managed to develop their projects inside without much difficulty. The crucial point that I believe you have to improve is in content on the internet, sponsoring youtuber to show the tool, answer questions, set up several cases. Today there is very little content on the internet, and that ends up leaving the tool stuck, without it having all its potential.

Apps and workflows using Nintex platform are being built and developed by IT staff but in most of the cases, these apps are built for use by non-IT staff. These may be from multiple departments including Finance, IT, Communication, etc. Automating these apps helps non-IT staff focus their time on their core work rather than doing things manually.

Yes, non-IT people can get their heads around workflow easily, especially the way it is implemented in Nintex (plain English, good graphics, all the fiddly stuff that non-IT people won't know about is already handled, etc). Whereas Flow is almost impenetrable to the average person.

The end users for our process were our sales team. These are not usually the most adaptable individuals but they were able to pick up Nintex Process Platform very quickly and we heard complaints about the workflow disappear virtually overnight after our implementation. They interact with forms/approvals and upload documents.

Some, but not many, non-IT staff persons are using Nintex designers, but are able to do so only after training\hand-holding from a technical resource. And, the effort often requires additional hand-holding to achieve the desired results.

It is being used by all users across our organization. All employees use it to access their "work instruction" level information in order to do their jobs and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the content using the feedback feature. Managers use the reporting to gain a better understanding of training needs and user engagement.

Nintex Workflow in our company is also used by non-IT workers. Even mostly non-IT staff. However, only as users, they do not create anything. Their experience with the Nintex platform is entirely positive, although the vast majority of them had to get used to it first. Of course, there are also those who repeatedly have big problems with it. However, these are workers who are generally not "friends" with computers.

Currently the Nintex Process Platform is available to anyone in our organization who manages a Sharepoint site, which is quite a lot of non-IT people. Supervisors need only ask for access to be granted a portion of our servers to build their own digital playgrounds. A quick tutorial in both SharePoint and the Nintex Process Platform is necessary to get them up to speed, especially those who learned previous versions (a recent update is somewhat different from the previous version). It's almost easier to learn the new system from scratch than to approach it with habits built from using previous versions. However it's not very "code-heavy" so non-IT people can pick it up relatively quickly.

Yes, Nintex Process Platform is being used by non-IT staff in our organization. Mainly, many of the users receive workflow prompts and information and respond to same. Where escalation is required, it also sends the information to the relevant parties.

Non-IT people don't really see the actual process behind SharePoint front end but it's more helpful for them to run their daily work activities. So the actual process behind SharePoint forms, libraries lists are set up by the IT team although regular users of these are Non-IT team.
