Users have found ObservePoint to be a valuable tool for tag auditing, quality assurance, and data integrity. It has been particularly helpful in protecting their data and ensuring the accuracy of their data collection efforts. The website audit feature of ObservePoint provides valuable insights for website businesses, allowing them to identify any issues or errors that may be impacting their online performance. With ObservePoint, users are able to audit multiple pages at once, saving them time and resources. The automatic scanning feature is especially beneficial as it helps in QA data collection and alerts users about any irregularities that may require attention.

In addition to its data monitoring capabilities, ObservePoint is also widely used across various departments to ensure that websites are loading correctly and online processes are functioning properly. Users rely on ObservePoint to validate their analytics codes and collect accurate data, minimizing the risk of tagging errors that could negatively impact their business. One of the key advantages of using ObservePoint is its combination of technical review and user engagement review features, which proves to be highly beneficial when used alongside other analytics tools. Clients have successfully implemented ObservePoint to verify tag functionality after site updates, ensuring seamless transitions and preventing any disruptions in data collection. Furthermore, organizations rely on ObservePoint for daily tag validation, maintaining data accuracy and compliance on an ongoing basis.

Intuitive and Robust User Interface: Users have consistently praised ObservePoint for its intuitive and robust user interface. Multiple reviewers have mentioned that the interface is easy to navigate, making it simple for new engineers to learn the software quickly. The robustness of the UI also ensures a productive experience, allowing users to efficiently perform their tasks.

Comprehensive Tag Vendor List: Many reviewers appreciate the comprehensive list of tag vendors available in ObservePoint. This feature makes it easy for users to interrogate most any tagging implementation they come across. With a wide range of tag vendors covered, users can easily validate deployments and accuracy of analytics and marketing technologies.

Robust Standard Reporting: Reviewers have found the standard reporting within ObservePoint's user interface to be both robust and easy to consume. This feature allows users to quickly access important data insights without needing additional tools or complicated analysis. The straightforward presentation of information helps streamline decision-making processes.

Limited capabilities for journey simulation: Some users have mentioned that the software's journey simulation feature is somewhat limited and could be improved to meet their specific requirements. They feel that more customization and configuration options are needed.

Over-reporting of problems: Several reviewers have expressed that the software tends to over-report problems, leading to the need for manually creating a list for development. This can result in developers spending unnecessary time on issues that may not be critical.

Web audit feature can be improved: Users suggest that the web audit feature could be enhanced as it takes considerable time to recognize errors. This delay in error recognition can slow down the auditing process and hinder timely issue resolution.

Users have provided the following recommendations for ObservePoint:

  1. It is recommended to do a careful assessment of how ObservePoint scripts work on your site, as initial setup can take time.

  2. Users suggest that an iOS mobile version of the app would be helpful for easier use of ObservePoint.

  3. Until all the glaring issues are fixed, it's hard to recommend the product.

These recommendations highlight the importance of evaluating the implementation process, considering the need for an iOS mobile version, and addressing any outstanding issues to improve user satisfaction with ObservePoint.

  • It Validates the deployment and accuracy of analytics and marketing technologies and data.
  • Technology Governance feature ensures your data collection tools and processes are executing as planned.
  • Privacy Compliance feature performs automated audits to identify all the tech collecting data on our site and ensures compliance to digital standards and government regulations for customer data
  • The web audit feature can be made better, as the errors which it recognises, takes time
  • Jouneys feature can also be worked on, they need to allow us to configure items as per our requirement
  • The rules feature, only shows limited failures, I would appreciate if the developers can work on that too

  • Custom tagging is very important when you need specific tags tailored to your website needs.
  • The dashboards are great, user friendly and you can share them with coworkers easily.
  • Page details, although interesting, are not very useful as the data is too granular and not possible to integrate with other analytics data for insights.
  • Some of the custom tagging may be a little complicated, so sometimes we need an engineer or an ObservePoint tech to help us out.

  • Covers a wide range of tags.
  • Can easily audit site to locate pages missing tags or have obvious tag issues.
  • Can create custom simulations for more detailed tag validation.
  • UI for simulations is really terrible. Very hard to set up simulations due to lack of things like xpath to target page elements as well as see what the simulation sees when there are problems.
  • Finding and fixing tag validation errors in simulations again is just a nightmare. Promised updates to the UI to fix this problem have been promised for months but still no improvements.
  • Due to the lack of updates to correct issues and bugs we just haven't gotten nearly the value from the product we expected.

  • The UI for ObservePoint is intuitive and robust. This makes training new engineers and using the product easy and productive.
  • All Audit exports are formatted as tab delimited text files making the data easy to analyze and manipulate in a Spreadsheet or database.
  • The list of tag vendors that are discoverable is comprehensive making it easy to interrogate most any tagging implementation.
  • Standard reporting within the UI is robust and easy to consume.
  • I would like to see more of the administrative aspects of the UI to allow for sortable lists such as the list of Users and Properties.
  • Auditing highly secure site content can be problematic depending on the method of authentication.
