The Okta Identity Cloud

I would definitely suggest this tool to my colleagues. When it comes to single sign to integrate all our applications under one umbrella, this will be the tool to go for sure. In our company, when we were moving our applications to the cloud one by one, we wanted one tool that could serve as a platform for all the applications with one password and with enhanced multi factor authentication and we choose The Okta Identity Cloud.
When it comes to SAP, integration with The Okta Identity Cloud was a little tedious.

Okta is best set for businesses with multiple Saas applications and resources that will allow users to have streamlined access to the different resources without having to log in to each and every application. The downside of Okta is the ability to have personalization across the different resources, but this really won't hamper the everyday business user.

Perfect for big and articulated project, too complex for small and fast project

Organisations requiring more custom rules for access, specifically non Microsoft organisations. Having said this it can integrate with Microsoft as well.

Okta Identity Cloud is ideal for any company with multiple users who are looking for an easy way to manage company apps and sign into them with ease. It's a great tool for any company, no matter the size. I used Okta before coming to my current company, and the previous company in mention was much smaller in scale.

I think it get's the job done and the features they have are great.

Basically, there are whole lot of Applications in OKta Integration Network. So whenever you want to integrate those , you are just few steps away. More understandable rules and policies . OKtA is best suited for Single sign on federated authentication. There are options Like Just in Time provision So as soon as user is there in Source you can provision it with no wait

If looking to get internal users from AD pulled into the cloud for SSO between applications, this is a good fit. It could also pull in and maintain customers for external access to applications. Otherwise, it would be less appropriate.

The Okta Identity Cloud is best for my online group booking. The Okta Identity Cloud makes my job easier where I can access different tools for my only booking for my clients and this provides security also to my tools. I could say that Okta Identity cloud can help you enhance your ability and help you learn or discover new things every day.

Okta is not strongly suited for local-only AD mastered environments with no plans to use cloud or SaaS apps. Okta is best suited for hybrid environments that are trending towards cloud and SaaS apps and may eventually be majority cloud. Okta is not well suited if you are looking to do SSO or MFA on local Windows desktops (you can accomplish this with 3rd party add-ons).

If your organization uses a number of different applications to support your business and need to streamline your users accessibility to these applications in a secure manner, then Okta would be a terrific addition to your tech stack. The solution does a great job of making SSO easy to use and provides customized homepages to give users the ability to pick choose what apps should be available to them at just a couple of clicks at the button.

Auth0 is excellent for sites requiring social media authentication. The social media integrations are updated and always work.

It is configurable. We are using it for authentication.

Well suited for authentication via Identity Providers, Users, and API security management. I can´t think of [an] authentication scenario where Auth0 can´t be used.

Where we need to develop using agile methodology and to fast development this is suitable in that case, and if are looking to build our own login system with our security then it is not suitable.
It has been a great experience using the product, given that Auth0 is a trusted Identity product, we have not much complains benefiting from the features that the product is getting us. It is up to standard, and we have not much worry to get the platform into production usage.

Auth0 can be used for websites and apps, where the process of login or sign up is either required by the internal team or application users. It makes the process really simple for everyone - the website or application owner and the user. It integrates your website or app with popular social media login integrations, which makes it super easy and quick to sign in.

Auth0 shines when one needs a simple auth solution, particularly for beginners building SPAs, as well as for those building apps on more obscure frameworks like Cordova or Nativescript. Pricing premium is acceptable when a low number of MAUs are expected. Pricing however does not scale well, as other providers like AWS Cognito and Azure AD B2C have priced an order of magnitude cheaper and much more generous free tiers. Essentially the trade-off is developer experience vs cost.

Well, I find it quite difficult to find documentation or example in real life applications. I remember that the examples for react are quite simple so when we implemented on a production application, we had to make some changes that we didn't consider.

Well suited:

• Regulatory compliance
• Complex products
• Multi tenants
• And even if not, by delegating the authentication to Auth0, you can focus more on your business logic instead of inventing the wheel again

Auth0 is great at RBAC, making it easy to create roles and permissions, and assign them to users. The Auth0 Pipeline and Actions are a great tool to configure and customize flows for users. Applications are easy to configure and have amazing documentation supporting the customers. One downside is still the backup policy and data recovery policy, which are not supported by Auth0 - it's the customer's responsibility to create a way of backing up data from Auth0, and how to deal with recreating all users.

Okta is a great tool for a company at an enterprise level, small businesses might find okta not suitable for their needs.
Okta also offers a practical way to set our apps and organize them, I see that localization is also something the company can do, so it's recommended to large corporations. It has a very useful app.

Auth0 is ideal if you are looking for an [out-of-box] Authentication (Authentication as a service). This is an already developed stable framework and prevents you from having to reinvent the wheel. It also allows for a lot of flexibility along with the [plug-and-play] feature making it easily workable for both developers and non-developer folks to understand.

Auth0 is really great if you're just starting out building a product. It really saves a lot of time and work. I've implemented a user-service in a million places and it's always the same--the register-login-confirm-email-forgot-password flow. Using Auth0 saves you all that, and you can get up and running in no time, getting a lot of advanced features very quickly and easily.

Auth0 wouldn't really suit you if you already have a working system with your own user database. It might be less appropriate for privacy-intensive applications, as the user data isn't really data you'd like to share or have outside of your own infrastructure.

I think Auth0 has very good capability and it can be used in most scenarios that require identity management. For example, business to business, business to consumer, etc.

Corporations can also use it for internal purposes like single sign on for employees. But I guess most corporations may already have the complete office solutions like Microsoft/Google, so using another vendor just for SSO may not be the best option.

Okta is excellent for large enterprises that require an added level of security of all their system accesses. Okta's single sign-on improves productivity for the company as it eliminates the need for constant helpdesk password resets. Okta is particularly well suited to organizations that have authorization hierarchy and require various levels of authorizations and access for its users. Okta isn't really for medium to small businesses with a small number of users as the initial integration as well as the monthly recurring costs can add up pretty fast.
