The alternative approach required double data entry which simply wasn't happening. I have also used Azuqua to remove the need for some manual changes, and that has saved multiple days of time for me in the current process changes I am launching.

Our goals were not time saving related and so no metrics are available for analysis. Existing processes were stabilised and made more consistent and in the process effort was reduced but given the original gaps and lapses in processes an analysis of time saving was not made.

In a given day, we can get triggers in one database to create project folders for 1,000 projects in a separate database.

A new folder created by human operation would take upwards of 5 minutes each. Approx. 83 man-hours for 1,000 new projects.
A set of 1,000 new folders created by an Import Tool would take approximately 1 man-hour to achieve, but still requires a human operator and the waiting and transition time to do the job.

The script flow does all of this in the background and we troubleshoot any sort of network errors that come with the folder creation/naming results.

Instead of having one person copying and pasting data coming from emails into a spreadsheet and spending 1 hr a day to do this task, now with Aquzua it is all being done automatically and we can deliver updated reports to our customer in 3 minutes.

Bedrock Data lacked the customization we needed. Zapier was too linear (everything was 1 to 1, rather than many to many different triggers/actions). We tried various other systems in their infancy, but at the time Azuqua offered the more powerful solutions complemented with a rock-solid account management and support team.

Once we get to the final product, I expect the time savings will outweigh the time spent. We haven't gotten there just yet, and right now several of our FLOs are under review and being adjusted. But, I feel confident that we can get there and get the result that will make time savings and cost savings in the future.

We had looked at other API integration services but felt Azuqua had both the customized connectors build in but also the raw http functionality. Since our DAM does not have direct integration, we were able to utilize Azuqua's implementation to automate folder creation and metadata porting that was once a manual process that took several hours to an automated workflow generation based upon a trigger.

When a new project was awarded, we had three different sheets that would provide the start date for that project. The preconstruction, construction management, and the accounting phase. Without Azuqa, each sheet would have to be manually entered and if one team had a reason to change the start date, the other sheets needed to be adjusted as well. Azuqua updates all sheets simultaneously and cross-checks each sheet for a change sending out notifications to the users if a change occurs. When the data had to be entered manually, often times one sheet would be overlooked causing confusion within the departments and some milestones missed. This cost time and money.

Alternative approach will require me to (1) Write a middle-ware to handle the web-services, (2) Design and develop a database to store the configs and transactions, (3)Maintain an infrastructure to host the middleware, and (4) Requires a team to maintain up-keeping and upgrades.

Azuqua allows me to avoid all of these.

Before we automated using Azuqua, a human asset took the form entires from Smartsheet and turned them into cases in Salesforce. Just this process- not working the case, just creating it- was using an average of 10 hours of this asset's time. Setting up Azuqua essentially reduced this to zero. It also eliminated human error, saving us additional time chasing these issues down.

Azuqua has been revolutionary in saving us time across the whole organization:
  1. Data and process quality has been drastically improved to produce more reliable data/numbers across our systems. These improvements have saved time all the way up management level through the Executive levels and Board level.
  2. Process automation has saved tremendous amounts of time across individual contributors, managers, and directors. We have also completely eliminated most of our manual operational tasks.
  3. Velocity of business improvements have increased with a dramatic decrease in implementation time. We spend much less time now on tasks like prioritizing, stack ranking, and cross-team coordination.

We probably saved 40-80 hours versus us developing the integration ourselves. I'm not sure but my gut feeling is that addressing the bugs that came up along the way are also much easier in the Azuqua platform so my gut feeling is we are saving time by having an easy to use platform for debugging and upgrading.

A lot! The flows that were implemented by Azuqua allowed us to have one sheet of all our information, then filter into individual sheets per person. It has saved a lot of time so that it isn't done manually.

Our alternative method would be a manual updating of the relevant systems. Azuqua saves us approximately 4-5 hours a week but more important, it improves the quality of our data.
