I was trying to find a tool to fully manage and optimize social media to drive my business forward in a scalable and measurable way. The tool is easy to use and I didn't need any onboarding or extra training. Through Oktopost I could manage all my social media across all channels and I can easily track my pieces of content.
  • Support is very efficient.
  • The tool is user friendly.
  • The campaign focus is excellent.
  • The set of the functionalities is relatively standard.
The product is very easy to use. And the features are very good. I have not experienced anything less appropriate. It works as I expect and empowers me to be a better promoter of my company's social media which is directly tied to our company goals. It functions as expected and I would not change the user interface.
  • The comprehensive dashboard.
  • I don't have it measured.

We use Oktopost across all of our media outlets to help schedule and manage different social media campaigns.

It has helped us to keep all of our social media accounts in a single place and allows us to better view and manage different campaigns which allows us to keep better track of how each program is doing and how each outlet is performing overall.
  • Oktopost has a great interface for publishing posts, allowing you to select multiple social media profiles and easily schedule a message across all of them.
  • Oktopost tracks your performance and has an automated tool that will schedule posts for you based on when past posts performed best and it works pretty well.
  • I like the ability to create multiple campaigns easily and quickly. The whole interface is very simple to use and streamlined.
  • I think the interface navigation could use some better explanation of what everything is, but it is still easy to use once you are used to it.
  • There aren't a ton of issues I've had with Oktopost. It really does what I needed it to do.
Oktopost is great if you have several Social Media profiles you want to manage and want to schedule and post all your things in a simple interface. They have a great calendar view that shows everything that is coming up and you can easily move or change postings with a few clicks.

It is also good for managing a single account. It has all the features I need for our single account markets, like campaigns, tracking, scheduling, etc.

I think if you are trying to manage a very large number of social media profiles it might get a bit difficult. There are tools more suited for that than Oktopost that may be easier, but Oktopost would still work.

The majority of our Oktopost users are Editors for our publications and marketing people that help with general promotions.
  • Oktopost has saved our editors a lot of time. They can post something to one site or batch schedule multiple posts to multiple sites at one time and Oktopost handles everything really well.
  • We're better able to track performance of our Social Media posts and how they perform with Oktopost.
We use similar programs to Oktopost in our organization like Hootsuite, so we didn't really compare Oktopost against them, we just use them for different things based on familiarity and processes. There aren't any specific products that we looked to replace or compete, it was mainly looking for something that fit our needs at the time and Oktopost worked well, but we still do have people using Hootsuite as well who perform different tasks.

They both have unique features and benefits that work well.

We use Oktopost for content curation. It helps us simplify the posting of valuable content for our clients. We also use the Feedly, Startafire, and HubSpot integration. Another important element for us is the employee advocacy board. Now all of our staff members use it, and that has helped drive engagement.

  • Stay up to date with social channel changes

I think Oktopost works really well for teams or for companies that want to get their staff evolved in their social promotion in order to drive traffic. It's ideal for B2B companies, and I would say that you can't do most of the things oktopost offers with any other social management tools.
Marketing, social media
  • 78 on social engagement
  • Has helped us gain business as some of our clients use the tool too
Buffer - it's good but I would say ideal for smaller teams.
HubSpot - is great as you have everything in one place - not as good as Oktopost for content curation though.

We use Oktopost to schedule, distribute and analyze all of our social media posts. I personally set up the account(s) and our profiles. We also use it for event promotion. The integration with Feedly is perfect for us, because we produce so much original content and I can find it all in one place.
  • Ability to organize and post across multiple platforms.
  • In depth (best) analytics I have ever seen for a social media distribution platform.
  • Social sharing abilities for other members of our organization. The automatic emails it sends to our employees letting them know there is fresh content for them to distribute is fantastic.
  • Best customer service I have ever seen.
  • It was a bit frustrating connecting with their sales rep who was overseas and had internet problems more than once.
  • I think the set up for the way you tell Oktopost when to distribute (for the Queue) is clunky.
  • I am struggling to come up with a third. This company is top notch. I absolutely love their platform. Maybe, I would say it takes some getting used to the platform, but that is going to hold true for nearly any company.
We had over 50 social media accounts to set up and had to choose which ones we were going to leave out. If you have as many accounts as we do, it's worth the incredibly high price tag (I just noticed they hiked the prices substantially). If you don't have that many accounts, you need to do the math to see if it makes sense for you. $400/month for the basic service is steep. There are many less expensive platforms available.

Only one of us uses Oktopost. We did rely heavily on the Social Advocacy feature to allow other team members to be notified when we had a new post up. They could then share it to their personal social media accounts, if they chose to. It helped with our distribution.
The integration with SalesForce and Marketo was the number one reason we went with Oktopost. It wasn't until after I got inside and got my hands dirty that I saw how great Oktopost was. The analytics reporting is sensational. It allowed me to easily pull reports to organize for my marketing department.
  • This isn't a particularly fair question for my company, as we own rehab centers across the country. We used Oktopost (and social media) for branding and awareness. ROI is tough to measure for us in this regard.
