Our Marketing team uses ON24 for live events, pre-recorded webinars, and the Engagement Hub functionality. It allows us to create seamless experiences for prospects who are interested in our products and services, from the minute they sign up for the webinar, to actually attending, to post-event follow-up, and to continued engagement with our resource library.
  • Amazing resource library functionality
  • Super quick response from support team
  • Ease of integrations
  • More room for custom coding
  • Ability to adjust colors more
  • Simpler functionality in signups
Amazing functionality for webinars, live events, and pre-recorded content. If you're looking to host an engaging, interactive virtual event, especially in today's COVID world, ON24 fits the bill.

We use ON24 to conduct external webinars for prospects and customers to deliver quality content to nurture and capture leads.
  • It integrates with our CRM
  • We can deliver recorded or live webinars
  • It integrates with our advertising platforms to collect leads
  • Possibility to export the webinar to other platforms as YouTube
  • Possibility to share the video only with prospects
  • Easier view of the registrations
Nice integrations, but it could be more user-friendly in terms of reports, etc.

ON24 is used across the legal and regulatory business for a variety of purposes, both internal and external-facing. We use it to run professional training for continuing legal education (CLE) credits, as well as to launch and advertise new products. For my division (legal education/law school business) specifically, we use the platform to allow the authors of our casebooks to present to an audience of peers on a topic of interest related to the course area(s) for which they [are] writing learning material. The platform easily facilitates audience engagement via the Q&A widget and is helpful for storing the video for future use.
  • Modular applet design for both presenter and audience
  • Q&A
  • Presenter UI
  • Freezing (sometimes a presenter's page will freeze while live)
  • Audio skipping (audio fidelity can drop with 3+ presenters on at once, even when using good mic etiquette)
  • It would be helpful if there were more options within the media player feed for presenter side-by-side video
It works well for one-directional presentations to large audiences in the vein of Webex or Teams Live but is a slightly better choice for external-facing communications due to value/price. Easy to manage Q&A and troubleshoot in the team chat without compromising video feed. It would not be particularly useful in meetings requiring a high degree of interactivity/audience participation.

We use ON24 to host 24 webinars a year. We've also just tested out creating our first two-day virtual summit with the software. It is widely used within the Marketing department. A few other departments have utilized the software with the help of marketing. It helps us to reach wide audiences in a safe and secure way.
  • Security
  • Integration with Marketo
  • Ease of use
  • Customer Service team can be slow to respond
  • Engagement hub does not send out automated emails for registrants
  • Need to allow speakers to blur out their backgrounds
ON24 is well suited for putting together webinars and larger virtual presentations. It is less appropriate for more intimate and smaller presentations where you want to be able to see attendees and talk face to face with them.

We use ON24 for webinars across all marketing departments. During the pandemic, the events strategy migrated to webinars, so ON24 was crucial in this change.
  • Final user/attendee experience
  • Reporting
  • Automated emails for a webinar
  • Speaker experience, the platform is not very intuitive for speakers
  • Possibility to change the backgrounds for the speakers
I think it is great for webinars. The attendee experience is great because of the different gadgets you can add and how they can interact with the platform. I think in the case of speakers, it is different. If you use the platform every day, you get used to it, but if you want to have external speakers, it becomes tedious to explain the platform to each one. It is not intuitive compared to Zoom or Google Meet. The screen is small.

ON24 is used in our organisation for the onboarding webinars that happen for all our global customers. ON24 is mostly used by the CSM community at Tableau. ON24 helped us to connect with the customers flawlessly at one go to get their issues resolved, helping us to onboard our existing and new customers.
  • Putting up poll questions within the slide.
  • Video and audio quality is best when it comes to ON24.
  • Adjusting and using talk track is more comfortable.
  • On the widget placing when it comes to audience view.
  • If you could work on pulse check, as it always has a delay of 15 sec post opening.
  • You may try adding breakout (our requirement for webinar).
WELL SUITED: For webinars and one-way communication. For big town halls. For big and large-scale events. At educational institutes, wherein students can go through proper recording on the sessions.

LESS APPROPRIATE: For daily collaboration meetings (internal or external), where I feel the platform is a bit heavy as compared to Zoom, Webex, Meet, etc.

It is utilized for meetings. It allows for a customizable experience for all stakeholders. Great platform! It is fairly intuitive and has a simplistic interface. There are many platforms to choose from, but I would say that ON24 is one of my favorites. There is always room for improvement, but ON24 is a 9/10 in my book.
  • Allows for a customizable experience
  • Ability to change content almost instantly
  • Allows specific privileges for specific parties
  • Many ways to connect to presentations (phone, browser, etc.)
  • Sometimes users experience a lag/freeze with content
Applicable to all online conferences. I don't see a scenario where ON24 would not make sense.

It is used to host various webcasts and training for the whole organization. It allows for broad participation in meetings.
  • Has a resource tab for accessing resources of the presentation
  • Has Q&A section to allow for timely questions
  • Easy to use
  • Requires a strong internet connection
  • Some glitches by participants in polling questions
Best suited for a large audience, large capacity meetings. Less suited for small group meetings.

ON24 is used for hosting webinars. It creates a professional, inviting experience and allows our team to effectively communicate with our prospective buyers. It is used primarily by the sales & marketing teams. We also host others on the platform, and we find they tend to have a good experience logging in and presenting.
  • Easy screen share/slide share
  • Ability to go back to a certain slide
  • Engaging with the audience through questions/chat etc.
  • It could make things more interactive - sometimes when I am presenting, I don't feel completely connected to the audience until the end when they can ask questions.
  • Showing the notes on slides more easily.
Hosting webinars, especially with partners who have not used the software before. It is always smooth and easy for them, provided they do not have extremely challenging permissions issues. Otherwise, it is a lot nicer than using something like Zoom and having to actually share your screen in order to get the slides shown.

ON24 is used across many markets in our organisation. We use it for hosting webinars targeting our customers. We have had issues in the past with webinar reliability, and the ON24 platform has reduced the stress associated with running large national webinars. It is a delight to work with, and we are more confident about the webinars we run. And this has led to less worrying about the technical aspects of the event and spending more time creating a great event.

Additionally, ON24 provides us with the analytics and insights we need to understand the performance of our webinar, whether it was engaging, whether the registration page was attractive, etc.
  • Analytics
  • Easy to use
  • Professional
  • Reliable
  • Customisation
  • Console user-friendliness for non-tech savvy individuals
It is well suited if you are looking to run large webinars. It is well suited if you want more detailed insights about your webinar attendees and perhaps keep track of profiles for these attendees.

It is not suited for smaller meetings and internal company events as there is a lack of visibility of other attendees and very limited communication function between attendees within the webinar.

ON24 for Webinars

We are using ON24 to run our customer onboarding sessions (one: many formats). This tool is being used by only our group, which is the Customer Success group. With the help of the ON24 tool, we are solving customer onboarding problems where we are running sessions, and our new customers can join those sessions and accelerate their adoption.
  • Great tool for one to many webinar sessions.
  • We tried other tools as well, but one of the most unique features is the feedback survey in between our sessions.
  • We can run Simulive sessions where we don't need a moderator to moderate that session, and in our case, this works smoothly.
  • Intuitive interface which is super easy to use.
  • They don't have support for background change (in this virtual world, we need that feature because all of us are working from home)
  • No emoji support
  • Lag in the engagement activity (which goes up to 45 sec)
If your company wants to run one to many sessions and you want those sessions to be more interactive, then ON24 is a good deal. We tried Zoom webinar, but ON24 provides some very [great] features like Simulive, feedback in between the session, [and the] customizable widget, [these] are not available on Zoom.

My company has utilized ON24 to organize webinars and conferences with our client base. Due to the challenges with COVID, we have been unable to hold these events in person but have had a great deal of success with the digital platform. There has been a significant benefit to the ease of use and effective interface for technically oriented conferences.
  • Overall user interface
  • Q&A
  • Document/presentation availability and download
  • Ease of use from a presenter perspective
  • Event support from ON24 staff
  • Live presentation review, tracking
  • UI customization
  • Toggling between presenter and audience view
For large events with a mix of internal and external audiences, ON24 has been very useful. It interfaces well for a setting where information is primarily being delivered in a single direction and is robust enough to handle large (multiple hundred) audiences. I would not recommend it for smaller events that could benefit from back and forth dialogue.

At our company, we use ON24 to stream our marketing presentation updates. Sometimes, these are live streams, and others we pre-record our content and upload prior to the session. ON24 provides a 'presenter' portal where we can see all the attendees, prioritise and respond to questions, and have internal chats.
  • Manages live webcasts
  • Enables presenters to be live or use prerecorded content
  • Tracks attendees and collates questions
  • The presenter user interface could be simplified to clearly show what the audience is seeing.
I have found using ON24 to be a great resource for prerecording content to use in marketing update webcasts.

I used it as a presenter for a continuing legal education event. It was a great platform. I could control slide advancement as well as see upcoming slides. It allows private communication (text) with the host and other presenters. It also has a good question platform for those attending. The mic and camera mute buttons are also convenient.
  • Slide control
  • Private communication with host
  • Mute camera and mic buttons
  • Private voice contact between presenter and host

First we use it as a tool to get all doctors together and we sponsor the event as a company and get the doctors KOLs speakers. The problems are that we have a huge issue regarding paying the bills of the event as we need to open a PO after ON24 sends a quotation, and they need minimum 10 webcasts per PO and this is not always applicable, and also they need it before the event which is also not easy, the best option is to pay by a credit card or event by event as also in Egypt we need a hard copy and ON24 doesn’t send us a hard copy and this is a problem in the country not the company but we need to obey the country rules but if it is on credit card it would be easier for us.
  • Branding the event perfectly.
  • Strong server without any disconnections.
  • The dry run sessions are really helpful for all the users.
  • Increase the surface area of the presentations for the presenters.
  • Payment methods.
  • Sharing the screen rather than uploading it before the event.
Well suited when we had an error regarding an event that had to be live but didn’t go live so I called the emergency number and a person signed in with his account and went the event live and it was my fault as we were not trained well on the platform and I didn’t know that I should enter as a producer not a presenter.

ON24 is being used across our entire organization. We use it as a way to host monthly webinars with our developers and customers.
  • Reporting.
  • Surveys.
  • Transactional emails.
  • Registration page.
  • Dial in bridge for speakers.
  • Virtual backgrounds for speakers.
  • Larger PPT side limit (currently 50).
  • Easier to upload PPT to system.
  • Less stringent PPT requirements when uploading.
ON24 is a great platform for hosting large webinars or presentations. Much better than using traditional tools like WebEx, MS Teams, or Skype. However, it can't be used for massive conference-style events which have thousands of attendees. It hits a sweet spot of medium-sized events.

ON24 is mainly used by our marketing team across business lines. It allows us to engage with prospective and current clients with informative and interactive content. The problems it addresses is how to reach a wide audience in times that are convenient for them in a way that is convenient for them.
  • Engaging users - It allows attendees to engage with polls, bios, resources, and more all within the console. It looks great and can help keep people engaged if they aren't super interested in the content.
  • Technology - There are no downloads involved! Huge Plus!
  • Reporting - The reports and salesforce integration are super helpful and reliable.
  • Set Up - The set up is not the most intuitive and takes a bit to get used to.
  • Console - The console is also a bit confusing.
  • Attendee Help - This is a unique platform, so helping attendees navigate could be a improved.
It is best suited for large webinars or training where you want to present. It is not conducive for smaller webinars or ones which you would like people to speak back to you. It is really ideal for educational purposes for both prospects and current clients, making it is a great use case for client retention or lead generation.

On24 is being used for the whole organization for webinars and virtual events. The scale of events ramped up when we needed to put face-to-face events on hold.
  • Lots of features and ability to link content for users
  • Video quality for webcasts is generally very good
  • 24/7 customer service chat is great
  • Interface looks very good as an audience member
  • Lots of reporting options
  • On24 Elite Studio and PMX, not the most user-friendly for those not familiar with the technology. Odd things like black boxes show up if you have presenters with video off in multiple presenter views. And the best experience to view live is to actually view live - the "audience view" in the console is not great to use.
  • The Virtual Environment is very manual, tricky to use, and creates a lot of work to do simple things. For example, the coding for email reminders can take a long time to format just right (even just highlighting and putting in one font doesn't tend to fix anything) and spacing can be challenging on the site.
  • Wish there were more interactive technology features like 2 way video. I think some of this is coming with breakout groups, but it's still in beta testing and you don't have the ability to record or use polls.
  • Would really like to be able to do simu-live with live video Q&A capability. Don't understand why this is not an option. It comes up very often.
  • Reporting often does not line up between being in the on24 elite console live, the on24 elite reporting, and the virtual environment live view reporting (When we are linking the On24 Console to the Virtual Environment). A lot of discrepancies show up and we need to be very careful what we show to our internal clients, otherwise they may not trust the data.
  • Don't love how the Virtual Environment is set-up as one campus. Creates a lot of confusion for registration reporting, especially those that are already registered for another event in the environment.
  • Uploading .ppts and files to the On24 elite console can take a very long time (hours sometimes), which can be problematic when users make last minute changes.
On24 Elite is perfect to use for webinar series. It's easy to set up templates for both registration, reminders, and the layout of the console. It's easy to pre-record and play Simu live as well as cast live. The virtual environment is a great tool to use for a virtual conference, or a 1-day event, or a seminar series.

On24 is used across multiple business groups at Honeywell. We have used it to supplement live events during covid and will continue to use it as an integral piece of lead generation. We host regional and global customer events, advisory board events, thought leadership events, and much more. This has allowed us to reach our customers on a much broader scale than small individual live events.
  • Ease of use for both the presenters and audience - user friendly
  • Capture data and analytics in relation to the audience, both live and on-demand
  • Reach customers without over extending budgets and time allowances
  • Virtual backgrounds! They are VERY much needed.
  • Flexibility in the audience console build - layering, snap grids, compatibility of media
  • User-friendly and eye-appealing dashboard rather than just a list of events - ways to sort and file events in folders to manage large amounts
On24 is great for a wide audience for presentations and webinars but lacks on live audience engagement (video/audio). Breakouts are just getting going to include the audience engagement but it's a bit rocky right now. If you are looking to host an intimate meeting, On24 is not the place. If you are looking to host a tradeshow, On24 is not the place. On24 is perfect for small to large webinars where most of the information is flowing out rather than it being an exchange.

I believe company-wide ON24 is being used by many different departments. We use it to host webinars for our clients and sponsors. Our sales reps sell webinars as part of a comprehensive marketing package and as a PM, I help facilitate the webinar and also handle all the back end logistics of setting up the console and making sure everyone knows how to use the platform.
  • Simple user interface for managing webinars.
  • Great audience interface.
  • Intuitive functionality, you can figure things out pretty quickly.
  • Great customer support.
  • Virtual backgrounds would be a nice feature for our speakers.
  • Being able to direct the camera ourselves when someone is talking vs having the computer audio decide who gets the camera.
  • Not maxing out participants on the back end.
  • Greater control/options for video clips.
ON24 is perfect for the types of webinars we host for our clients. We are moving to have all of our webinars with audio and video, even if we aren't using webcams, because it often works better for audio to log on and use computer audio then dialing in from cell phone, b/c for real, who has a landline? No one. My connection has started dropping from my cell phone and has become unreliable, so using the computer audio is better. Also better suited for clients in China, as there is no local dial in number.

We started using On24 at the beginning of the pandemic as we transitioned from in-person conferences to all virtual, and it has allowed us to continue to deliver the content of our conferences and webcasts to our members.
  • Analytics
  • Our dedicated rep, as well as tech help associates, always respond ASAP
  • They seem to take seriously the feedback and suggestions, and implement those to make a better product for everyone
  • Would like to see more customization options in some parts
  • Can be glitchy, but they address them quickly
  • Networking
  • Interacting with speakers
Best for delivering corporate conferences that require ease of use so that participants can focus on content. Not great for networking, or a fun happy hour type event.

ON24 is used as a free educational platform for our customers to deepen their knowledge about trending topics. Right now, it's only used in a few of our departments with Marketing being the main point of contact for all use cases. The main problem ON24 addresses is not being able to meet with people in person. It gives us a way to connect with customers from all over the world, anytime, anywhere.
  • ON24 has a lot of widgets that can be added to the console to increase engagement from attendees. These widgets allow you to host a live webinar, pre-recorded, or a mixture of both with ease.
  • Very responsive customer support team. They provide links and photos to help you with your issues as well.
  • Setting up a webinar is extremely easy. You hit create and just go down the list on the left-hand side until it's complete. Super simple!
  • Reporting- even with tags it's hard to get a definite number of performances of a webinar. There is no simple way of seeing if someone is new to the system or a repeat viewer of our webinars.
  • Cannot delete a webcast. When we were first starting out on the platform, we did a few test runs. Now they just clutter up the list. We also had a few webinars that we took the recording and uploaded to be an on-demand series. They too now just clutter up the home page.
  • Not all of the widgets are trackable. We created an image with a URL and it wasn't until after the webinar that we realized there was no tracking and we had no idea if this worked or not.
ON24 is not perfect, but it's also far above the worst out there. It's been great for doing webinar series and staying connected with our customers. Once you learn a lot of the features it's simple to navigate. It's good for attendees to do a lot of their own, but if you want any engagement, the chatbox is the only real way attendees can communicate. Yes, there are polls and surveys, but they can be difficult to get right in a presentation.

[Used for] Virtual events that replace in-person events. Marketing produces the events to support advertising initiatives and editorial promotions, in addition to ability to create events to generate revenue through sponsorships, usually of similar events that been held in the past as live events. So we could recoup some of that lost revenue stram during the pandemic shutdown.
  • Registration and reminder email function
  • Professional looking video product for virtual presentations
  • Data and analysis on attendees and attendee behavior
  • Size recommendations for graphics on the console screen are completely off and what you create as the screen users see is not sizable to different size screens. If I create and size things to fit a large screen, small screen users can't see everything, and the whole page is cut off -- by a lot. If I create to fit for a small screen so things aren't cut off there is a huge open space on large screens and all the functions/engagement tools are tiny. Real problem!!
  • Another real problem!! The 5-10 second delay in a live presentation between presenters and producers working the console. A presenter can ask to flip a screen or show a video or prompt a poll but the producer will push it out and it doesn't actually show to the audience until 5-10 seconds later creating dead time in a program. The presenter doesn't know if it's going to show then or not, creating confusion.
  • Console screen creation MUST have a back/forward button option and not automatic save. While designing if you want to try different things and if you don't like it you can't go back/forth. Otherwise you have to start ALL over and guess what you did before. Problem!
  • Huge problem!! Video file size restrictions. What On24 recommends is sub-par for industry standards to be good quality. It's a blurry mess at their file size. We override it because it's so bad but I have to fight for it every time.
  • Need the ability to create your own graphics with fonts and color choices and sizes on all the text and images not just in some places. Need color wheel thing and not have to guess #s for colors.
  • Need to change the automatic default of the bios for a carousel registration page. I want my own graphics there but if I do that it negates bio engagement tool on the video screen.
  • Need ability to give direction to presenters while live production. Some kind of tweaks to how they watch the screen for questions and directions. Once they start they can't pay attention to all of that.

ON24 is currently being used by the Events and Community Engagement department of CISCRP. We have used it over that last year to turn our in-person health education events virtual. It has been helpful to have a program such as this to continue servicing these communities we work with.
  • Provide metric reports.
  • Polling questions throughout the webinar.
  • End of event survey.
  • Emails out to audience.
  • Call to action within the lobby.
  • Ability to link to other materials within the webinar.
  • Tighter window of editing time (2 hours before event you are locked out).
  • Having to clear cache to see updates.
  • Only 10 people in live audio, has caused issues in the past.
For something formal yet interactive like CISCRP's educational programs this is a good platform and offers many of the things we need. For other more customizable and real-time programs, it may be more difficult as there can be technical difficulties.
