When the pandemic hit, it changed our entire event strategy. We shifted from in-person conferences and events to live and on-demand webinars and courses with ON24. The tool is used across the marketing team and helps us create the event experience from the landing page registration form to email reminders to the actual video dashboard itself.
  • Easy to navigate.
  • Good user experience.
  • Limited ability to customize og tags.
  • No group reporting on registrations from multireg pages.
  • Group reporting on all events by source (time consuming to if you want to see which channel has performed best overall or for specific types of events like email, Facebook, cpc, etc.).
I am on the team managing ON24, my responsibilities are prepping pages for digital promotion and reporting on them. Another teammate is responsible for creating the events. ON24 for the most part is easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. My only issue with it is there seem to be some limitations with customizing the og tag - you can only upload one image size and can't use the full twitter card so your link will never look great shared across all social media platforms.

We are using ON24 as a solution to bring together various volunteer leaders across our state for leadership and development training, as well as to offer academic conferences for members around the globe.

ON24 is well suited for an organization looking to deliver unidirectional content - such as a presentation to a large audience. It is less appropriate for scenarios that require more collaborative interaction of the presenter with the audience.

ON24 is my teaching platform. ECommerce advertising, campaign development, copywriting and marketing are education platforms that I teach on the college/university level. In addition, I create webcasts for training and promotion of specific product and industry initiatives.
  • Provides Structure (which has been essential to learning in the virtual COVID world).
  • Quality of screen delivery (Superior to CHIME and ZOOM).
  • Back end analytics especially for audience tracking.
  • The ability to edit slide decks once they are loaded on the platform.
  • Video (using URLs) on the self service platform.
  • Better invitation conduit for sending registration invites.
It is wonderful for teaching/instruction. I have conducted over 200 classes over the past 14 months on the college level. The benefit here is what some may call it's weakness in that verbal interaction is absent. Questions and comments are relegated to the specific widgets. That is great! It forces people to think just what they want to ask for say.

It is less appropriate when you do need human interaction with the audience.

We use ON24 quite extensively for top-of-funnel brand awareness webinars every month, supported by our various product teams and product ambassadors, along with guests from industry. We also use it from time to time to inform our delivery partner network of forthcoming product updates.
  • Platform branding, the ability to fully brand the console and registration screens is powerful.
  • The engagement tools are very useful to drive attendee engagement.
  • Sometimes the background music does not cut out when the webinar starts.
  • More ability for the user to re-size the video player to their needs would be useful.
It's great for branded, educational webinars aimed at the top or middle of funnel. We don't use it as a direct lead generation tool so cannot comment on it's efficacy there, although the feature set for lead gen looks impressive.

We organise all types of Webinars, it is used across the company to inform their clients about what is going on in the company. We also have all kind of educational webinars, as well as market updates for our Club members. Once in a while we organise big events with a few thousands participants.

We mainly use ON24 to host sales training internally and customer webinars externally. It helps to capture audience information and be able to run webinars in different format (e.g. live/ simu-live).

Well-suited: when you want assistance on running webinars to generate leads with great visibility on data and statistics.
Less appropriate: you don't care about the stats, just run regular webinar for awareness generation.

ON24 is used by the Marketing department at Acumatica for running prospect as well as customer webinars. We host 4-5 webinars (both live and simu-live) in a month. Webinars are a part of our demand generation strategy.
  • Reports and analytics provided by ON24 are really helpful as it gives a detailed overview of not just number of registrations and attendees but also the questions asked, and especially the duration each attendee was there for the webinar.
  • Recording the live webinar and hosting it as simu-live in the future. I've used other webinar hosting platform as this feature is definitely very important for us.
  • Running polls, a different moderator for answering Q&A is very helpful.
  • None that I can think of.
Scenarios where it is well suited:
1) When running polls.
2) Hosting a live webinar and using them in the future as simu-live.
3) The ease of screen-sharing with multiple speakers from different locations.
4) When there are more than 50 attendees.

ON24 has been the backbone of our digital events platform since COVID hit. They have been nothing but helpful and resourceful with any technical questions we have. We have gotten much positive feedback from our customers with how user friendly the portal is as well as the extensive reporting provided. Would recommend to any company.

ON24 was used for our annual partner summit. It is also used in other departments. In our particular case, it addresses the business problem of communicating to our partners on our annual program changes, updates and insights from executive leadership.
  • Helpful recommendations based on the parameters of my program.
  • Able to arrange last minute tech support for rehearsal and recordings.
  • Post webinar/event reporting and dashboards easy to use.
  • Ability to make a change in my ON24 program and it flows through the whole program, i.e.: make a banner change, it updates everywhere in the program that banner is located in the program.
  • Ability to request tech support for all sessions at once, not have to go into each session and make that request one by one.
  • Post event reporting: need a resource that is a glossary, maybe it exists but I couldn't find it easily.
Breakout rooms: this was just announced and we are excited to try this out.

Information sharing webinars: platform works well to deliver information directly to participants, and you can add surveys/polls throughout the webinar to get insights from your attendees.

We use ON24 across our Marketing and Sales training departments for both internal and client-facing events. Our focus for ON24 is educational, client-facing webinars. We generally have between 1-3 presenters, and a presentation (PowerPoint) plus one or more short video clips. We actively use the Q&A functionality to engage with guests and increase interactivity of the events. We also enjoy the playback ability with ON24, the registration pages, and have made use of the simu-live option.
  • Registration pages.
  • Dashboard reporting.
  • Simulive with no rollover to live.
  • Cannot do video when you do simulive with rollover to live - so it is a radio call-in show feel and everyone is starting at a blank screen.
  • Tech can be VERY spotty (more spotty than we've ever had with Zoom or Teams so we do not have any reason to believe this is internet related).
  • System gets overloaded easily so when you're uploading content, it can take far longer than you expect.
  • Backend of console is not intuitive or reliable -- can really be challenging for new presenters.
ON24 is a necessary evil of corporate life and should be avoided if you have other options. While it has good dashboard reporting and ability to easily set up registration with a decent template, many other aspects of the solution seem to be ten years behind where Zoom and other much cheaper tech is at today. It is suited towards environments where security, ability to run a wide variety of features in a webinar, and report back to management is paramount.

We currently use ON24 for monthly lead generation based webinars (Marketing). We are also in the process of using it for an OnDemand Demo resource. And our Talent Team has used it to train our Freelancer Network how to use our Platform.
  • Engagement - so much more than just slides on a screen with a voice in the background.
  • Inspiration - Mark Bornstein's webinars are phenomenal and make us want to elevate the webinar experience.
  • Additional Uses - more than just a Webinar Platform, we are also hoping to use it to run a Certification Program through.
  • Support - back-end support is sometimes a struggle. Particularly with the Pardot integration.
  • Lead Gen Tracking - we would like to see more functionality in terms of being able to embed a Pardot form in to the ON24 platform for easier leads tracking.
  • Training - would like more technical training. Did the Webinerd certification and enjoyed it. But still feel like we need more of the specific technical training.
Great tool for creating an engaging online experience. Lots of utility. Webinars, OnDemand Demo's, Certification. We have really embraced this tool and all its benefits.

At G5 we use ON24 to bring our potential clients and current clients exceptional webinars and virtual events. Although managed by the marketing team, the content we create spotlights incredible members of the G5 team and allows for our internal experts to share their knowledge. With webinars and virtual events, we demonstrate the value of G5 and share valuable marketing knowledge.

At G5 we have used ON24 for internal events, virtual conferences, and webinars. It has performed well in all circumstances and provides a fantastic experience for the viewer. The customization of the user experience is extremely beneficial and works to ensure you can continue the experience to your additional content or your website. The recent addition of breakout rooms continues to set ON24 apart from the competition and their integration with Salesforce, once implemented, is flawless.

We use ON24 for the events department of our organization. This platform allowed us to host several events, forums, and symposia virtually this past year. The system worked so well for us that we've decided to keep this method of hosting events virtually and include it in events going forward.
  • All-in-one console.
  • Creates an on-demand audience link that's ready almost immediately.
  • Large limit of attendees.
  • Presentation controls are behind those like GoToMeeting, Zoom, etc.
  • Unable to prerecord any portion during the Live Video & Audio format.
  • When purchasing event, there's no notification that an order has been placed already on the ON24 site/webcast view (leads to double order placing).
When everything is set up correctly, the platform works great and looks very professional. However, the presentation manager platform is confusing at best for speakers who aren't as computer literate. There could be more information or tips on the presentation manager screen itself, that way if an ON24 specialist is not there it can still run smoothly.

ON24 is being used by our marketing department by 3 managers. We run webinars on behalf of our advertising clients as a lead generation service. The webinars are showcasing a clients products but in an educational way. It's great for using the ON24 landing page to track analytics and capture the lead reporting.
  • Its super user friendly. I have to train speakers and moderator that aren't tech savvy and it's generally a smooth training process.
  • Capabilities are great. Use of webcam, screen share, resources downloads and pre recordings make it super flexible for the type of presentation you need to give.
  • Mp4 files! You can get different variations for download to share on wards. Ex. Capturing the event console, video and slides, solely slides. It gives our clients a variety to work with post webinar.
  • There is no pointer (can't see presenters cursor) that shows up when someone is presenting.
  • Use of animations/transitions, there are sometimes glitches and issues with how presentations convert from PPT.
We do a lot of different presentation styles here at GW. A lot of which are roundtable style and/or a very slide heavy presentation with the speakers still on camera. Maneuvering the boxes within the console builder is very helpful in changing the appearance of the presentation for the attendees and is one my favorite features.

We use ON24 in our marketing department. This is currently our main webinar platform where we broadcast various simu-live and live webinars daily. It allows us to use recorded content and rebroadcast to our various targets, with the options for attendees to engage with us via the various widgets available on the console. For example, attendees are able to ask us live questions via the Q&A Box.
  • Integration with Marketo.
  • Ease of use when recording content.
  • Ability to drill down into analytics and reports post-event.
  • Technical issues with browsers and events not showing up in our library of upcoming webcasts.
  • Issues with the Producer mode when monitoring a simu-live webinar. There is a lag on occasion and causes us to think there's an issue with the broadcast.
  • Pre-recording with video and shared screens is not easy.
ON24 is a great platform for companies who have a mature and sophisticated marketing engine. ON24 is able to support multiple webcasts as well as capturing data on attendees. The integration capabilities are also helpful for groups that have that need. I would not recommend ON24 to a smaller company who has not established their marketing tactics yet as there would be a lot of functionality that is not used.

ON24 is being used for different purposes across our entire organization. It gives us the ability to connect virtually with our customers and prospects, donors, and employees. The ability to connect virtually is especially important given the recent COVID restrictions regarding travel and attending large events. <br><br>Our executive leadership began using the platform to conduct all company 'town hall' meetings and other organizational updates when we started working fully remotely in March of 2020.<br><br>Both our corporate marketing and training teams use the platform to provide thought leader content, engage with our customers/potential customers, and provide a variety of different trainings.
  • Enable us to host virtual events.
  • User-friendly producer and presenter platforms.
  • Customizing the participant experience.
  • Ability to provide live captioning for audio - a huge thing for us to be ADA compliant!
  • Would like more options for audience to engage with each other - this is improving month by month, however with the addition of audience chat and breakout room options.
  • Would like to have more ability to animate and create more dynamic presentations. Presently the system doesn't allow much for animation/graphic elements to make things pop.
ON24 is great for hosting webinars, trainings and other types of meetings. You can have them held live/real time or record them for future viewing. All live events are also recorded and able to be watched on demand at a later time. They are currently in the process of improving their virtual event offering as well and, as an organization, we are looking at this option. Without this option, there is not a lot of room for direct engagement with participants other than surveys and polls.

We thought it would allow us comprehensive branding of Webinars, but the product is way too complex and unintuitive, riddled with bugs and endless problems or restrictions.
  • Branding on webinars.
  • Interface is unintuitive.
  • Uploading and management of slides for presentations is insanely complex and clunky. You are limited to the number and size of slides. Incorporating video is a nightmare.
  • Very glitchy, with multiple problems during webinars.
  • Our presenters HATE it. Presenters don't like having to upload slides 2 days in advance.
  • Manipulation of slides very hard to do.
Would not recommend at all. We will be allowing our contract to expire.

ON24 is being used as part of our Marketing, Business Transformation, Data & Analytics and Operations Groups to bring business/solution education, awareness, user group sessions, data trends to market (customers and prospects) in a scalable method through a technology platform that is easy to use. We typically invite several internal speakers as well as guest speakers so that the content is presented from an "inside-out" and "outside-in" perspective.
  • Nice interface (user and viewer).
  • In platform chat (non-visible to end viewers).
  • Polls, surveys, CTA's.
  • "Spotty" connection issues for some participants.
  • "Troubleshooting" tips (should be a trouble shoot tips right on screen for users).
  • MAP platform integration - data sync timing issues.
  • Reporting capabilities - should provide more robust reporting capabilities.
ON24 has solved many situations in which our business has had to "go live" in a very short timeframe - the platform and support team accommodate and has not caused a delay. We've found it to be a great add on to our MarTech stack and the functionality of the tool has worked wonderfully for both large and small audiences.

We use ON24 across our entire organization, 4 product categories, and 4 divisions. ON24 takes our webinars above and beyond the traditional flat voice-over slides and makes it a dynamic experience. As exciting as the entire platform is, my favorite feature hands down is the on-demand recording. After the webinar is complete, you can watch the recorded video, ask live Q&A, take polls, and download resources anytime! It doesn't limit functionality.
  • On-demand viewing, lose no functionality after it's over (live polls and Q&A capture fresh data for each viewer).
  • The interactive console keeps the viewer engaged with your content and following your engagement paths.
  • Pricing transparency in the purchasing process.
I am a huge webinerd so I can't see a situation where a good webinar wouldn't be useful. We use them to educate, to excite, and to engage. If you're looking to host a webinar, and you can afford the platform, this is the platform for you.

It's great for relaying our video content live or on-demand to our prospects/customers and it gives us a lot of insight to their level of engagement through their reporting and dashboards. I wish On24 had more lead gen programs to help generate more viewers to our webinars. I would also like to see a way for them to help us build a following like creating a webinar channel or subscription model for our audience.

Our company currently uses ON24 to deliver 5+ webinars per month in our marketing department. We offer multiple training webinars for our customers.
  • Fantastic training resources on how to use the tool
  • Great customer service
  • Easy to use console
  • Would like a customizable acknowledgment/landing page once a survey is submitted. Example: offer customer collateral once they submit the survey.
  • We have had a couple pre-recorded webinars not launch in the last couple of weeks. ON24 should have a feature that allows us to manually intervene and push recorded webinar to an audience.
  • Unlimited reports only access per account.
ON24 is well suited for live demos, slide presentations, internal or external training.
