  • We are able to update a file in one central point and have all links to that file updated simultaneously, saving us time and ensuring we have the most up to date information being shared.
  • We've had several instances where we have had device failure and lost hundreds if not thousands of files from a device but have been able to recover those files from OneDrive's cloud storage.

  • It's impossible to quantify, but as somebody who works in an IT-adjacent role the amount of time spent trying to figure out OneDrive and SharePoint has a real cost to the agency in productivity
  • Many functions that require going through OneDrive or SharePoint are simply ignored by staff, who become resistant to steps in processes requiring this software after manifold bad experiences with them.

  • We have one less server to manage, so that reduces our IT hardware, software, and support costs.
  • There is some initial training costs up front, but the ROI on that is quick since OneDrive is easy to setup, use, and train for.

  • It's provides us with an additional cloud storage place that's quick and easy to access, especially when communicating via Outlook in a browser.
  • As a part of an organization with Box, OneDrive feels unnecessary.
