I use OneLogin to streamline my workday by allowing myself to get into a productive mode quicker. I am currently using it for my multiple applications & also for web-based logins. The most important feature of OneLogin is that it is encrypted from end-to-end, so there is less of a security risk compared to traditional password storage.
  • Encryption
  • One login for all my applications
  • Less time spent contacting my internal Help Desk Team
  • More applications (I have one or two that is not yet supported)
OneLogin is the holistic solution for an enterprise looking for a way to simplify, streamline & secure user login's to on-premise & cloud-based applications. Less forgotten passwords mean fewer lockouts and manual intervention from our internal IT team, which means more time in everybody's day to do something else productive instead of password housekeeping.

  • Positive Impact (Less Help Desk Tickets/Manual Housekeeping)
  • Positive Impact (More time back in my day, less stress remembering passwords)
  • Positive Impact (Less personal breaches of passwords)
Okta was revolutionary for its time, but it wasn't as well polished as the OneLogin product. I do think that OneLogin has a more modern user interface as well as a more attractive platform. The use of colors clear delineation of security for multiple login flows is really appealing/simple.

We chose to use OneLogin to simplify the number of passwords required by different services as well as easy access to find all of the services we use. Each employee has four accounts that they automatically are given, as well as additional services that can be added dependent upon role.
  • Only have to use one password
  • Easy to access in one place
  • Easy search feature
  • Logs me out too often
  • Cannot log into some services when they know OneLogin is used which is frustrating
  • Can take more time than just signing in
I would say that OneLogin would be good for companies that use many different services. It helps to provide a library of all different services and make it easy to access them. It is beneficial as well to only have one password. The one downfall with OneLogin, however, is that it can slow down the process to access the services. You have to go to OneLogin, many times re-login and then have to be redirected to the other site, which is just an increase in steps.

  • Simplified passwords
  • Resource library
  • Easy rollout
I have not used any product similar to OneLogin, previously I had just been using the login on the sites themselves and having to use my browser to store my passwords in order to gain acces to the systems. The one good thing with OneLogin is that it will always have your most up-to-date password, which does help simplif the process.

Due to the multitude of sites that need to be accessed by its community members, Berklee decided to implement a web single sign-on solution. The solution aimed at serving multiple purposes:
  • Simplify access to the various application
  • Increase security by enabling the roll-out of two-factor authentication
  • Increase automation around provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts.
OneLogin was the best solution in terms of ease of implementation and maintenance, and the most cost effective. All of our community members eligible for accounts (employees, students, alumni, contractors) use the platform to authenticate to more than fifty (50) web-based applications.
  • Numerous predefined connectors: Those connectors to the most popular applications allow to have a quick start.
  • Easy integration with various directory solutions: This allows to quickly setup an existing set of users with no password change, whether they are managed in Active Directory, OpenLDAP, G-Suite
  • Availability of APIs: The APIs offered allow to manage users and users attributes and allow to have more flexibility to provision data to and from the platform.
  • Lack of administrative APIs for creating or setting up new connectors: This prevents the automated integration to federations and requires manual setup rather than discovery-based automated setup.
  • Customization of the interface: The potential configuration of the interface are still limited at the moment (logo, primary and secondary colors, background). This prevents the usage of the platform as a communication medium or to organize the space in a more standard fashion (for our institution)
  • There are some limitations with using the apps provisioning APIs that can lead to some termination or provisioning actions not being completed
OneLogin is well suited for environments that are fairly standard and in which teams do not have a lot of technical expertise in the various single sign-on protocols. The setup and maintenance is very easy while providing a really robust service.

The lack of possible customization could make it less attractive for specific environments that do not have standards in their infrastructure.
  • Delivered connectors
  • APIs available to get and update data
  • Multi factor authentication
  • Available logs
  • Directory service

  • OneLogin made it easier to roll-out new services to our Alumni population, increasing our engagement with our community
  • IT Operations now spends less time managing accounts and can focus on other tasks
With similar functionalities, OneLogin was the most cost effective solution. We also compared OneLogin to on prem open source solutions but we were worried about the management overhead that would be required by such systems. Cloud services like OneLogin were allowing to limit that overhead as there is almost no infrastructure to maintain

We use OneLogin in order to create a central place for employees/staff to be able to access sites while keeping information and connections secure.
  • Centrally located base for all app connections
  • Provides informational port
  • Secure connectivity
  • Missing connection at times during use with a smartphone
  • Inability to create a "shortcut" through the web-browser
OneLogin is very well suited for employees/staff for secure information and access - I am not very sure that it is well suited to use for a miscellaneous message that could be posted on a public site. That being said - it is very useful and the ability to point all individuals to one place is much more of an internal controls process.
