What TrustRadius Research Says

Ontraport Pricing 2022

The catalyst for modern businesses growth is customer relationship management, better known as a CRM platform. You can grow exponentially using contact management tools to manage current customers, and using marketing and sales tools to attract new customers.

On top of maintaining and growing, workflow automation of tedious tasks allows your team to work faster and easier. This is why CRM’s are so valuable. One CRM with a plethora of awesome features and affordable costs is Ontraport.

What Is Ontraport?

Ontraport is a CRM platform for small entrepreneurs. Their core focus is offering an exciting list of features to scale and market your business for fast growth. This included email delivery, lead generation, marketing automation tools, metrics tracking, sales funnels. All important parts of any software management system for maintaining contacts, and streamlining workflows for obtaining more contacts.

They also have networking opportunities and transactional options like affiliate links for partner referrals, and payment gateway integrations with trusted third parties like Paypal. Many of their CRM tools are geared towards optimizing your online presence such as their WordPress plugin to create membership sites or pages to retain satisfied customers, custom objects for special storage, and API access for outside integrations.

Using the software is designed to be intuitive with drag and drop functionality for ease of use, and a short training process for small business owners or sales teams. Once you’ve mastered Ontraport’s UI you can think about integrating them in Zapier and using them with your other apps.

You could even use Ontraport in Zapier together with social media scheduling apps like Hootsuite to stay on top of your online presence, or customer support. Even if you offer support through a CRM, it’s always good to look out for customer questions on FaceBook or Instagram.

How Much Does Ontraport Cost?

Ontraport has 4 month-to-month plans that range from $79/mo for Basic to $497/mo for Enterprise. The main limitations of these plans are on users and the number of contacts. The cost of additional users is $46/mo, in all plans.

For more contacts and more emails, it's $99/mo for 100k more contacts and $99/mo for 100k more emails. They also can extend custom pricing for teams that need to send over 5 million emails a month.

They have a 14-day free trial as well if you find you are unsure. There is no credit card commitment required.

10,000 contacts, 3 users, unlimited emails

20,000 contacts, 5 users, 200K/month emails.

The 4 plans cater to different ends of small and mid size business needs. Basic and Plus are best for newer businesses. Companies where 1,000-2,000 contacts is the right range for revenue. On the other end is Pro and Enterprise which jump to 10,000-20,000 contacts. This is perfect for businesses that expect rapid growth but still want a good budget price.

If the amount of contacts or users isn’t the main reason you would choose a subscription, there’s also great features for each plan. All plans have access to the mobile app (Android +iPhone), contact management, email marketing, and marketing automation features. Each plan has some access to marketing analytics, landing pages, and sales force automation features.

Basic is perfect for smaller organizations that need strong features like API access, lead capture, landing page templates, and video hosting. The Basic plan doesn’t come with an eCommerce setup, automated task management, or membership sites. The subscription is good for a small business with a growing budget. Teams that need more eCommerce or analytics features may want to skip this plan.

The Plus plan isn’t much of a step up in terms of users but 1,000 more contacts are pretty good for small teams. The big change is in the other features this tier offers. Full access to eCommerce functionality like order forms and payment processing and more analytics and tracking features. Whether you choose to buy more users or have a designated pair, startups with a solid team of 5 or more could make real progress.

Pro and Enterprise are definitely for larger, accelerating teams. With full access to all features for Pro and Enterprise, teams can take advantage of the incredible list of CRM benefits. With all the business process automation and sales force automation features, you can make connections with lead follow-up and reach more clients with lead nurturing for campaigns.

You can style your website with templates, plugins, custom HTML, and commercialize it with payment processing all through Ontraport. It’s perfect for startups and larger teams that make most of their revenue from marketing automation and client management.

Any kind of advertising company or consulting agency that depends on the information they send out would definitely benefit. It’s very open-ended for this type of CRM platform, one that has such a long list of capabilities to offer. For the rest of the extensive list see Ontraport’s pricing page.

When it comes to CRM options out there, Ontraport has a stacked list, but not with anything unusual or new. There are other platforms that offer the same services, one behemoth is marketing monster HubSpot.

Ontraport actually fills in one of HubSpot CRM’s few blindspots. HubSpot Free CRM is extremely generous for your budget, but HubSpot CRM Suite of paid plans is more restricted in contacts and users. The only reason you would use their suite is if you need premium features. The premium features will be more advanced on top of all free features, upgraded list segmentation, removed HubSpot branding, more currencies, etc.

Ontraport is built up the same way, for an enormous amount of features you can choose between their plans with restricted contacts and users. If you compare the HubSpot CRM Suite Starter plan ($45) and Ontraport’s Basic plan ($79), you’ll notice Ontraport costs more. Both 1,000, but with HubSpot starting with 2 users not 1, with $25 for each additional user. HubSpot is the better deal.

If you look at the next plans for each, however, you will see HubSpot’s CRM Suite jumps in cost, from $45 for 1,000 contacts, to $1,600 for 2,000 contacts in their Professional plan. Ontraport’s next plan for 2,000 contacts is Plus, standing only at $147 a month. In fact, the most expensive Ontraport plan is $497, far cheaper than the rest of HubSpot’s CRM Suite. Ontrport’s variety of cheaper plans could be a better deal for you in this case.

When it comes down to whether you should pick HubSpot or Ontraport, it comes down to budget. Compared with HubSpot CRM Suite, Ontraport has just as many features, but with more plan options that your budget will appreciate. If you don’t need all the premium features, you should certainly consider HubSpot’s free CRM.
