The virtual assistant feature is fantastic. You can type out the greeting and it is read by the virtual assistant. All of our calls have been routed to the correct person using this feature. It really has been a game changer for our company, with getting customers to the correct person the first time.
  • Virtual Assistant
  • Voicemails to email
  • easy to transfer or conference calls if necessary
Cons
  • better caller id function
If you do not want the mechanical voice of the virtual assistant, you can record your own outgoing greeting. You can also have a call roll to another extension if the person you were trying to call doesn't answer.

We use Ooma Office for our transportation business. We use it for customer service and in the back office. It's easy for all of our office staff to use and we're able to customize the incoming call menu, saving our employees time. Pricewise, it's a great option for small businesses.
  • Easy to block robo and spam calls
  • Simple set-up for phone schedules
  • Easy to capture more calls by utilizing call ring-though
Cons
  • Better phone modules- they often reboot or say they're disconnected from the base at inopportune times.
  • Quicker updates in call logs
  • E-fax option could be a bit easier
[Ooma Office has] good customer service: this is important in our business as we have 24/7 phone service and rely on any tech issues being solved quickly. The price point is very good for small businesses. Being able to block robo / spam calls with one click is a huge plus as it saves us time on the phone and cleans up our incoming calls for the future.

Ooma office provides the phones and VOIP for our company phone needs. We have both physical phones and services through their mobile app where our office can both send and receive calls and messages. The service is internet based and does not require any hard line installations. We are a construction company of about 75 employees.
  • Mobile phone app
  • VOIP phone setup and connection
  • Easy to setup and get started
  • Customized office phone solutions
Cons
  • The service is not as good as expected even with a high speed internet connection
  • Calls are dropped
  • customer service and changes on the account can be difficult to make
It is easy to use and overall very good for the price. In an office setting of less than 50 people I would say is where it is most useful. There seems to be issues with some of the connections if you try to call externally to other phones as calls will drop occasionally.

Ooma Office is our telephone system that we use in the office. It is absolutely crucial to my practice. I have clinics in 3 different locations and another physician uses one of my offices 3 days a week. I have one centralized number that I can forward to whatever office we are in that day and a "virtual receptionist" that includes a phone tree before the phone even rings in the office that directs the other physician's patients to his number. It allows me to check messages even on the weekends and when we are not in the office.
  • Versatile
  • Cost-effective
  • Internet based and allows for mobility
  • Easy to use app that allows me to forward calls and check messages from my cell phone from anywhere
Cons
  • Customer service takes several calls to fix a complicated issue
Very well suited to small businesses because it is very cost effective and can be managed from anywhere. I have forwarded calls and checked messages from the Carribean and Europe! I can't imagine in a scenario, however, where it would not be well suited! Any business that uses phones or faxes would find this useful.

  • IP phone systems
  • User friendly
  • Great customer service
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Better interface with computer systems
  • Better hands free devices
  • Back massages
I am a small business and run a tight budget. We need a business phone and fax service. They fit the bill and provide an excellent choice of services.
