Office phone system. Cost-effective and feature-rich. So easy to set up and configure. Allows our clients to reach us quickly and leave a message just a quick. So glad that we moved from the big carrier to Ooma!
  • Set-up is easy and quick
  • Lots of great features
  • Cost effective
Cons
  • Group - team fax capability
  • Improved headset connectivity
  • Multiple office speed dial lists
Ooma works best in a small office environment, with the owner/administrator being hands-on. Might be more challenging for a larger enterprise.

Love it! Glad I switched!

I'm a sole proprietor. I've been in business over 20 years as an HR consultant, Executive Coach, Business Coach, Marketing Consultant and Keynote Speaker. I just have one Ooma number but it rings through to all of my devices. I was able to 'port' the business lines I had with other providers so people could still reach me if they had an 'older' phone number. Ooma Office is more cost effective than other phone systems/providers I've used. The set up was a bit tedious for me but their customer service is terrific! They guided me through the entire process!
  • Customer service is terrific!
  • Pricing is cost effective.
  • Quality of calls is impeccable.
Cons
  • The set up was a bit tedious for me and I'm a bit of a techy! As I recall, the manual seemed hard to follow.
I have a home based business. So just one phone line was needed. It's still a great investment.

Efficient and effective - just a few tweaks to improve

It is used as our only phone system for the business. It allows us control to customize our menus, so customers can get basic info without having to speak with someone. It also reduces the amount of call transferring that needs to be done, since callers can reach the proper department right away. It also has eliminated spam calls for the few months we have been using it.
  • easy set up and number porting
  • flat rate pricing
  • easy to customize menus
Cons
  • I wish when clicking the help menu on the side, that it would not navigate away from the page I was using
  • I wish the online chat feature was available more often
  • I wish when calling customer service they didn't ask me to rate them every time, but I get it.
It is really ideal for an office setup with cubicles and everyone has their own headseat. It is less ideal for a retail setting where there is significant movement of employees through the store. They do have cordless devices, which make this feasible, but to make the menu work appropriately, those phones should be kept at their respective charging locations most of the time.

Oooh Ooma!!

Ooma Office has made mobility a reality in our office. We are able to take calls from anywhere and keep in communication with each other as well. The features of this product are easy to use and customer support is exceptional. The set up of the equipment is easy and tech support is there to help you along the way 24/7.
  • Mobility
  • Call forwarding
  • Virtual receptionist
Cons
  • The app needs more functionality.
  • No other issues to report room for improvement.
  • No other issues to report room for improvement.
Ooma Office is well suited for scenarios in which you cannot be physically in your office; you can use the app to take, make, and forward calls. The voicemail to email feature allows you to keep up with all pending messages, and the fax to email and conference lines make communications that much easier.

We are using Ooma Office across our whole organization. We handle heavy volumes of phone calls daily. Our call volume per phone number averages around 200 daily. We receive different kinds of phone calls per day. Like all businesses, we need to focus on booking new customers. With Ooma Office, we are able to use virtual receptionists to guide a caller through different menu options so that their calls can be directed to the appropriate channels. Being able to do this allows us to focus on new clients and existing clients easily and more efficiently than before.
  • Technical Support is spot on! Fully knowledgable, VERY helpful, and easy to get in touch with. What more can one ask?
  • AMAZING value for money! When I tell you that get way more than you pay for, multiply that 3. The regular package is more than enough for a smaller business, but the great thing is that Ooma Office also offers a PRO package. Ooma Office is a well-thought-out, useful and a forward-moving company as a whole.
  • Easy to use. Super simple to install and set up.
Cons
  • The Sales team needs to be a little more organized and set up to answer questions for users who aren't familiar with how VOIP or IP systems work. It would have been nice to know all of the features and how things work from the get-go. We sat on the purchase for over 6 months because we couldn't get the answers we needed. Eventually, we just took a leap of faith (since there are no contracts) and boy-oh-boy are we glad we did it! Super happy Ooma customers.
  • The mobile app always has poor audio issues for the caller. Not sure why. Maybe the physical device itself? Can't really chalk this one up to Ooma's fault, but perhaps their app needs improvement.
Easy to use. Communication is the start to any successful business. Starting off with Ooma Office is the only way to go. There is no business that wouldn't benefit from Ooma Office regardless of which line of business you're in, how many employees you have, how many departments there are or aren't. Ooma Office is a must-have for every business—without the tech, costs and headaches other VOIP/IP companies put you through. Smart, effective solution for any business.
