We use Oracle Product Hub Cloud to manage our supply chain and increase productivity. This is an awesome tool to manage our customer database and reduce unwanted costs of product management and shipping. The way this tool is designed is really amazing because we can create a product easily and we can streamline ERP and our supply chain.

While considering it as a solution, it is the value for the money, as well as it is easy for the users to understand and to operate for end user it needs a little bit basic training, However duplicate entities are eliminated very accurate, as In my personal expertise, it is more convent application as compared to other applications of same domain

Personally, I think Oracle's product hub is well-suited in the e-Commerce domain where organisations may deal with thousands of products every day and product management efficiencies are directly linked with their market performance. Also, the product works well if you are already using the Oracle cloud suite but it has issues working across the board if you have a different cloud-based system for your business. The implementation, in that case, can become painful and long.

We actively recommend the implementation of Oracle agile PLM to streamline workload capacity, whether working with one or multiple business projects. With its use, you will get a huge and mostly centralized lifecycle management quality, which in situations such as multi-document review processes, becomes a huge advantage.

A pretty decent PLM

Oracle Agile PLM would be great for just storing documents and possibly change orders or change requests. It also gets a little confusing and finicky updating the device master record and design history file. This program was not made to handle or assign training for documents to personnel within or outside the Quality System. It would be best to use a different training system connected to Agile for document storage.

Oracle Agile PLM is great for any size company but likely better suited to larger companies to achieve ROI. We like its ability to work in different countries and among different manufacturing environments. The best fit would be with a customer already using other Oracle products and familiar with their implementation requirements.

If you are a manufacturing firm then Oracle Agile PLM is the best ERP solution that can seamlessly integrate with Oracle SCM. It has lot of good features, especially the Product Genealogy, Master product maintenance, and change management for ECO, to name a few. The product has good scope for innovation within the organization and in general otherwise. It can be a one stop solution for all the BOM structure reporting needs as well.

Oracle Agile PLM is a very powerful tool. It is essentially our repository for all product information. Our R&D, Engineering, and IT departments all use the product. Publishing BOMs (bills of material) is relatively simple. Submitting engineering change requests is also done easily.

Searching within Oracle Agile PLM is not very easy and generally produces poor results. Although our integration with EBS is stable and generally works well, the occasional error is difficult to troubleshoot.

I would say that my recommendation would mostly depend on what other products someone is using. If you are primarily an Oracle shop like my company, it makes sense to use Agile PLM. The tool itself is very good at what it does, although it can be a bit complicated to learn at first -- mostly because it can do so much. But if you do not use other Oracle applications, it might be worthwhile to do your homework on other PLM options.

  • Best - Product Development, Workflow Management, Project Management, Quality control and material management, document management. AutoCAD type work if they use Autovue.
  • Less - Requirements Management, software development, 'Agile' SCRUM approach design

Keeping the company current with the latest rev is both a blessing and a curse. It is hard to handle quarterly updates being in a medical industry but it is also a problem when we upgrade every five years, missing functionality and making the upgrade process enormous.

Oracle Agile is great for companies that need a way to manage their products and work with various resources in their department from developers, to PMs and UX designers. This is a great way to keep track of feature requests and shippable versions of the product. Implementation and user friendlessness is an issue with this tool so companies that have the budget for consulting or for additional resources to help implement and maintain will need those resources as it is necessary. Training resources should also be factored in by any institution wishing to implement this.

Good PLM tool

Oracle Agile PLM is well suited in a company that works with multiple complex products/projects where the change management has to be strictly defined and followed by all people involved, or products/projects that need approvals from different departments. It is not suited for a smaller company where fewer products are there and most likely the budget for software acquisitions is smaller or does not exist at all.
