Our Organization is in Oracle Saas Cloud for ERP. Oracle Analytics Cloud is the reporting and integration solution that sits on top of Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse for our data warehousing needs from the fusion ERP cloud. We are piloting OAC for just one department within our organization. Our goal is to make it an enterprise-wide solution for our summarized reporting needs.
  • Available without of the box connectors for Salesforce and oracle Saas Cloud. This is a huge plus for our business since we don't need another middleware solution just for this sake.
  • We are able to connect to our on-prem SQL Server database where we have our RMA database and other applications seamlessly without writing custom APIs.
  • OAC writes directly into ADW which is another advantage for loading Excel files into ADW after dataflow transformations.
  • OAC allows replication of the database from fusion ERP and lets us create subject areas using the data modeler.
  • OAC should allow writing back into Oracle Saas Cloud.
  • OAC Canvas view has some limitations in terms of choosing colors for the chart objects and other objects.
  • It doesn't allow the drill to detail options like that available in classic view for drilling to analysis from canvas view.
Oracle Analytics Cloud is well suited for an environment where the data warehouse is well defined with star schema structures. It may not work if the data structure is not well defined in terms of complex reporting. OAC's Day By Day app is a clear win and a cool addition to executives whether it is integration with Slack or for identifying issues in realtime.
We are primarily an Oracle shop. OAC jives well with our business needs and is the most sought after solution if your organization is a major Oracle shop. OAC provides connectors out of the box and makes data analysis a breeze even if it has to be from totally disparate sources. AI and machine learning capabilities are a good forward-looking strategy and is a definite win for the product and its roadmap.

They belong to Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Finance domains. We have an Oracle Fusion SaaS environment for our ERP needs. We don't have an option to do data warehouse type of reporting for trends and maps. Oracle Analytics Cloud has helped to bridge the gap and is being used by our business users for their reporting needs.

The person is a software engineer and has a masters in business administration. Some of the other required skills include Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and SQL expertise is recommended. Good analytics and problem solving skills are a plus for this position. As for the soft skills, good communication with business users is an added plus.
  • Expand it other groups in the organization
  • Reporting solution for data mashups
  • Integrate with more non Oracle tools
  • Replace excel based reporting altogether
  • Datawarehouse trend based reporting
  • Performance rich reporting
  • Data Mashups with other heterogeneous systems
  • Narrative story based reporting
  • Trend based historical reporting
  • Overcome performance glitches in SaaS
  • Complement the capabilities of Oracle Fusion SaaS
  • Integrate with Salesforce and other 3rd party systems through data mashups
Yes
Oracle Analytics replaced the previously existing on-prem SQL Server reporting. When we moved to Cloud, our on-prem solutions could not be lifted and shifted to cloud directly. Hence we went ahead with Oracle Fusion SaaS and then used the built-in Fusion ERP adapter in OAC to access data from ERP and created Datasets in OAC for reporting.

It was the necessity and the product reputation that made us to continue with Oracle Analytics Cloud solution. When we implemented Oracle Fusion SaaS, we didn't have everything we wanted from OTBI for our analytical reporting. OAC bridged that gap and provided us with a much enhanced reporting for our org needs.
We just renewed our subscription of OAC for couple more years. This is a proof that we have become more comfortable with the product and would love to use it for our organization. OAC does have some limitations which we couldn't have discovered until we use the product, so there could be no change in our evaluation.
Our product license comes with premium support and we have been enjoying this benefit ever since. This support features guarantees severe tickets support and has a dedicated resource who monitors and reverts with solution until we are satisfied. The Rep working on our tickets knows the issues for the most part and that helps with speedy resolution.
Oracle Analytics Support team is very proactive and I have never had a situation where I had to wait for more than a day or two to get my issues resolved. This is a very big help for us and we appreciate Oracle and its team for guaranteeing that experience.

Yes. I had an issue with the Business Intelligence Cloud Connector configuration that was disrupting the data load form Oracle Fusion SaaS to Oracle Autonomous Data warehouse database. I logged a ticket for it and it was immediately addressed and resolved without much deliberation. I am very satisfied with the Oracle Analytics Team for their support.
