Oracle Analytics Server stores data in a massive cluster method and redundancy is also taken care of since the data is stored on the Cloud and multiple on-premises servers. This not only helps in faster data accessibility but also makes the data merging and cleaning tasks faster.

It supports XML data load, where the user has to get data in the XML tags and load it into the BI tool where the user can do further customization based on different business needs. It can generate output in multiple formats not restricted to only one format this is a great advantage that has made the life of users easy.

It has a pretty decent range of data sources that come available with the product out of the box, but unfortunately when you try to diverge from that group and expand your toolbox with a myriad of other regularly used data sources, it struggles to find ways to connect to them.

1. Real-time data , relational data and there are many variety of data sources that can be connected 2. Data integration with different applications and APIs are provided so that major parties can support this application 3. Merging of data can be done through a different set of modules provided by Oracle Analytics

Oracle a very long-time participant in the data aggregation field (data-bases) is still helping lead the way for others when it comes to accessing and utilizing, in infinite ways, the outcome of data stored for companies and their clients.

The downside of your connection is complex with other databases, in addition to slowness for a real-time platform, or slow data to read metadata. But a variety of data sources offered for database composition could improve the experience of the user simplifying the creation of connections to different databases and sources.

The range of data sources are pretty much limited but not less compared to similar market players. It provides real time data connectivity with very minimal delay in retrieval . But still the the number of data sources connectivity can be increased to several other recent DB solution providers and also various flat files.

One of the best thing that I loved about OBIEE is its flexibility to connect to various data sources. As a 115-year-old company, we have more data sources than agencies in the federal government. Of course, not all data sources are plug and play and need a bit of work, but from an architectural perspective, the data source connectivity is impressive.

The real-time analysis of reports, integration with different sources of data, customization of reports and SQL queries are the main reasons for rating this product high. Also, this product is very useful for large data, integrating with Java API and others. Drill down analysis and GAP analysis is very well taken care of.

Perhaps one of the strong advantages of Oracle BI is its ability to very easily connect to multiple data sources. I think it might be the best tool out there for this part of the data analytics process. The software also works well with real-time data and merging with various other sources.

Good capability for database connectivity across most of the relational sources. Even for MDX , Essbase and SSAS are the very useful plugins. For some of blending tools or MDX sources like TM1 or 3rd party tools it’s not very easy or straight forward. Overall serves the purpose very well.

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g (and 10g as well) allows reports to source data from multiple data sources and combine them to form aggregate tables seamlessly. Businesses that deal with data in large volumes, as well as velocity, can leverage this feature of OBIEE as well. Reports can be updated in an almost real-time manner.

Before buying it, I saw great dashboards developed with OBI, full of functionality, very easy to use, with great map integration, and easy deployment for mobile. However, I can’t rate OBI with higher numbers mainly because of the lack of resources we have here in South America. That is why we could not take advantage of many features and exploit the tool to its full potential.

It does not support all the external data sources but does support commonly used external databases. They do not support merging of data from different data sources completely but does allow you to use other Oracle tools to do the job and get the data in the reports. The tool also supports Real Time data but you need to consider the performance base of the amount of data you are trying to retrieve and the server bandwidth.

UtliPro offers many different packages, or databases, where I can report from. With that being said, Business Intelligence allows me to connect to various databases to report against. If I want to report on payroll data only, then I select the Payroll History package in UltiPro, and if I need to report against benefits data then I access the Benefits Admin package to report against. Business Intelligence provides connectivity to over 30 different reporting segments in UltiPro and the possibilities to extract data using Business Intelligence is limitless.
