I don't see any apps able to achieve the functionality and the development speed of Oracle Application Express.

I did not evaluate any other Rapid Application Development tool. I wanted a quick and simple solution just for my personal use so I directly tried using APEX since I work with Oracle databases and have a good background on the SQL and PL/SQL languages. I am currently replacing a couple of Trello boards where I used to follow up the task, since I can now manage tasks dependencies.

Great and we need to have a link to import or connect visualization with apex.

I am an IT professional with a degree in computer science, decades of experience, have used multiple programming languages and development frameworks over the years. It is a more daunting time than ever to be an IT professional with more alternatives available now than ever for accomplishing a given task. I've invested tremendous time/effort to master proprietary technologies in the past only for those to become obsolete. Other times tools/technologies are not applicable across a wide domain space able to solve a variety of problems. Beyond these things a primary business objective is always cost-effectiveness and value. The sea of IT is vast and it is impossible to master every tool/technology. So it is imperative to choose tools/technologies that support open standards so as to avoid proprietary/obsolescence conundrum. In order to provide cost-competiveness and value that business demands it is imperative to choose tools/technologies that promote low-code rapid application development capable of producing solutions that are reliable, scalable and maintainable. The Oracle RAD stack including Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS), Oracle Application Express (APEX) and supporting products such as Oracle SQL Developer provide a tremendously powerful combination of tools and technologies providing the ability to create solid strategic valuable solutions within a vast problem domain.

APEX is more efficient, more flexible and nicely integrates with pl/sql (packages, funktion, procedures) - and cost free

I have more flexibility in APEX against Oracle Forms.

Oracle Application Express isn't just a CMS or similar software. You have a metadata-driven data model and a very data-near architecture. It is intuitive to use and you are able to get an application up and running in no-time. Many existing components are allowing you to create rich applications that you don't necessarily need to extend with plugins etc.

I haven't looked at any (allegedly) competing product as there has never been a need for it.

They are from the same developer. So because of this, they both work very well. We probably do use PeopleSoft a little bit more as not every employee has access to the developer suite in Oracle Application Express.

Oracle Forms is an old fashion client application.

Easy integration with other Oracle products and oracle database makes it a great fit. UI is clean and aesthetically pleasing compared to similar applications I have used.

Very well suited for data reporting. Auditing of data and reports stored in database can be checked from the browser or even on the phone. So, with Oracle APEX work can be done on the fly...

For us, they are complementary, we use both according to the need.

The learning curve is small and programming knowledge is not needed.

Obviously Oracle Application Express cannot replace WebLogic in terms of creating domains but it is not designed to do that. We can use this tool to prototype and later develop a product using the Oracle WebLogic platform. We selected Oracle Application Express due to the ease of learning, and not having to buy licenses to use it.

Oracle Application Express provides a simple graphical user interface to build web applications. We do need to write code manually as there is always a change while writing business logic manually.

I have advanced oracle skills and so for me its the obvious choice. Its free of charge and does everything I need. No need to lok at alternatives in this situation. Everything else would be costly or require third party integration. I have also used oracle apex against other databases (sqlserver) to good effect
