Sometimes, [I feel like] it puts too many restrictions. [I believe that] we do not have enough skills to maintain it. Generally, I feel it is too complicated to work with it, but probably [if you have] the skill set, [it would be better]. With the help of some training, [I think] it would be less stressful. Also, currently [in my case], there is a budget problem, which didn't exist a year ago. The product does its job, so [in my opinion,] there are more positive than negative experiences.
  • Error messages are very understandable, providing you are in the loop.
  • The more you [use] it, the more comfortable you feel with the product.
  • It is logical.
  • It is not easy to learn [if] you didn't get professional training.
  • Teamwork is important, but, [in my opinion,] we do not have enough resources, so sometimes I feel helpless.
  • I would like to have more resources available online.
I think it is well suited for big organizations. Even my place of work is pretty big [and] only part of [my organization] is using it, so it doesn't seem important to management in terms of budgeting and other help. It [should] be better when at least 50% of employees return to the office, [but] it [hasn't] happened yet.
  • It helped to reduce some losses [with] security issues that were experienced in the past.
  • It is a new product that looks promising.
  • It is pleasant to work with ([despite] being a little stressful sometimes).

This product was purchased in order to satisfy our organization´s government audit requirements. We are so far satisfied with Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall, and we decided to include them in the ULA negotiation we had with Oracle.
  • It satisfies and meets internal and external audit requirements.
  • The integration is straightforward.
  • Good and clear reporting.
  • Expensive.
It is an excellent but overpriced product. The core mechanism is a common issue regarding Oracle licensing (it could raise the costs up to the moon depending on your infrastructure), so we preferred to sign a ULA agreement. Not suitable for small companies or organizations without a large budget.
  • It meets audit requirements, so it was a must for us. Overall I am satisfied.
  • Expensive, but worth it if your budget permits.
  • Less internal audit work.
We did not evaluate other alternatives since most of our related products are Oracle.

We developed a sales proposal with Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall for another organization's audit requirements. It gave the client the flexibility to audit multiple technologies.
  • Audit control
  • Flexibility
  • Reporting
  • Ability to drive lower than metadata levels
  • Cost issues with coverage to multiple targets
Audit Vault is a great product but becomes quite expensive when deploying it to multiple targets with many cores.
  • Difficult sell when scaled up to many targets
  • Great functionality that can be tied to the audit needs of an organization
  • Reduces internal audit work

Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall was used in order to protect threats across web platforms, informational databases, and new information retrievals or uploads. Additionally upon detecting these threats, the software provided an itemized list of threats, descriptions, and level of severity. It allowed my web team to make the decision to address these errors and at times if a breach had a certain level of breach detected, we consulted an external 3rd party group in order to address the best way forward.
  • Auditing threats and providing subsequent detailed information.
  • Ease of integration, no primary problems.
  • Consistent push-notifications to address concerns.
  • Easy patch installations to remain abreast of new threats.
  • Need to confirm IP addresses are setup correctly when installing and tests are run. Best setup by professional.
  • As with any software company, their add-ons work best with their own software.
Any serious small or large business that is utilizing a mainstream database, purchase ordering system, and web platform should look into this software - especially if you're using softwares compliant with this protector. It really does do an outstanding job of addressing all weaknesses through auditing and vaulting the potential virus concerns.
  • Systems Infrastructure Protection
  • Multi-faceted Security for Complex Infrastructures
  • Favorable Internal User Experience & Management
Whilst Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall Systems were more costly than the closest alternative, there was more ample community support, 3rd party support, more capable functionality for our complex infrastructures, and additional features for audit.
