We are Oracle partners and implement Oracle Cloud ERP for our clients. Previously I worked for one of the largest healthcare organizations in the US and I was implementing with my implementation partners. I have implemented Source to Settle and Demand to Deliver modules. I have done configurations, ran CRP and SIT cycles with end-users. The business problem mainly in healthcare is the standardization of legacy systems to one common ERP system across the healthcare environment
  • completely Browser-based , providing spreadsheets wherever possible to upload mass data
  • Standardization of common business workflows across different verticals
  • ease of use reporting capabilities through Oracle transactional business intelligence
  • integrations to different systems can be complex, most of the time other systems have to adapt to Oracle
  • Some features in Planning are not tested enough and bugs can be encountered when working with end-users
  • the product can take a steep learning curve to learn for end-users across different verticals due to standardization
Well suited: Procure to pay cycles, especially procurement, agreements, requisitions, and purchase orders. Min Max replenishment, Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory, Product management, items and items categories, Organization and enterprise setup, Forecast generation, causal factors, Data collections, PAR replenishment through RF SMart integration, report running and creation through Oracle transaction business intelligence

Oracle Cloud ERP is a cloud-based, all in-one comprehensive business management solution which enables small to medium-sized businesses to upgrade from their entry-level accounting software or legacy ERP system to one single, comprehensive solution that connects sales, service, finance, and operations teams to help them adapt faster and perform better.
  • Automate and eliminate your manual business processes
  • Simplify and speed everyday work
  • Launch new business models, faster
  • Predict, detect, and act on new situations
  • Expense management
  • Resource management
  • Supplier management
No one likes big deltas between forecasts and actuals. Most models though are too limited, relying on sample datasets or just gut feel. Oracle Cloud ERP introduces machine-learning to predictive planning and forecasting so you can utilize broader datasets, reveal hidden bias[es], uncover significant deviations, and speed your overall response time... Oracle’s AI-powered digital assistant simplifies and speeds common tasks, allowing you to ask simple questions like “what’s the status of my open purchase requisitions?” and “what reconciliations are due today?” Personalized tasks like invoices or over-budget notifications are delivered to you proactively, so approvals move faster too.

It has been a great find for us as the cloud-based program actually beneficial for us. A clear understanding of things with customizable experience mainly are the stand out features. Support, dashboard, and go-to guides need a lot of attention to improve the product. Other than that, I would recommend this to use for handling business effectively.
  • It gives resilience and agility to do business processes to position ourselves for growth.
  • Oracle ERP Cloud is currently leading in the marketplace for providing cloud flare management solutions for midsize large global businesses.
  • Oracle ERP cloud easily get integrate with our system which is great.
  • As it easily get along with all the software that we are already using for handling business operation, it easily get along with them and provides me the complete platform package to handle all the business processes on the go on this platform.
  • The dashboard is not yet intuitive. It is not well designed.
  • Navigation is the big task while using Oracle ERP Cloud as it is very hard to navigate things on such a clunky dashboard.
  • I have to go through different guides and clicking different tabs to actually be on the tool which I need to manage specific tasks which is time taking and makes me less productive.
Oracle ERP Cloud gives me the power to adopt new and updated business models and processes quickly to increase the revenue of organization, quickly reduce the cost, sharpen forecasts and innovate more which is great to have in one platform.

My organization moved to cloud based ERP a few years back. This is used by multiple departments in the organizations. One of the problems solved was that we don't to have our own servers; [the] IT hardware [doesn't] need to [be] [maintained] or [have] [upgraded] hardware. That's a lot of cost saving. Also, being on cloud, it enables mobility and people can access on the go, which is a necessity in today's world.
  • Complete visibility into business operations at various levels of details.
  • Less number of resources required to maintain the ERP solution.
  • Deployment is way faster than the on premise deployment.
  • Need to be made more intuitive. Currently, [it] has a steep learning curve and users need to be extensively trained in the beginning.
  • Integration with third party cloud ERP solutions or other on premise solutions is not straightforward.
  • Pricing is a big concern, as it's very expensive, and eats away [lots] of cost benefits derived by getting rid of owning and maintaining hardware.
Oracle cloud ERP is well suited for organizations who are already using on premise ERP solutions or for an organization who is recently expanding to multiple geographies or growing inorganically by acquiring companies with existing ERP solutions. So the scenarios where integration with existing solutions or complete visibility due to complicated structure, is required [and] are the most suited for deployment of Oracle ERP Cloud.

We support Oracle ERP integrations into our business development application system. Oracle ERP cloud provides a complete enterprise suite of products, including risk, procurement, financial, and ERM. Oracle ERP Cloud has the support of many integrations and implementation partner networks. It also has great integrations to others Oracle products like PBCS.
  • Lots of business functions supported.
  • Integrations to many different platforms.
  • Complex and custom functionality.
  • Financial statement reporting.
  • Do not have that great user friendly documentation on integrations.
  • The search functionality needs a lot of improvement.
  • Mobile app needs an overhaul.
  • Users can no longer run SQLs against the cloud database.
There are other ERP systems out there, but Oracle Cloud ERP is great for invoice entry automation and charts for account management. Since it is purely in the cloud, you do not need a team to manage the IT-related things with this platform. If you are looking for a custom ERP with in-house databases, this is not the system.

We use this platform in our contracted companies for large manufacturers and factories. Oracle Cloud ERP is a secure platform that is very important for any organization, and the larger the size of the company and the factory, the more vital the existence of ERP becomes. From the job interview of a new staff member in the organization to human resource management, advertising, marketing, tax payment, how to distribute goods and everything you think an organization needs, wherever there are dedicated facilities, a separate module such as accounting, warehousing, clearance of goods according to need can be added to it. Saving time, the order in the system, coordination, and integration between different units of the organization are quite evident despite this platform. All departments of the organization are seamlessly integrated and all are managed and maintained in the cloud platform.
  • Ability to add modules according to the specific needs of the organization
  • The ability to use artificial intelligence and machine learning is very helpful
  • New features are constantly being added to the platform and are constantly evolving
  • The infrastructure used in Oracle ERP is a very fast, powerful and secure cloud.
  • Spend more time on educational topics to make it easier and more meaningful for new users
  • Behind-the-scenes of Platfrom, AI needs to be smarter and faster to be able to serve better
As a senior IT consultant, I am an ERP supporter in the organization. Oracle Cloud ERP is also one of the best options available in the market, which in addition to speed, also has a very high level of safety. Elimination of paperwork, and transparency in all sectors is born with the advent of this platform in the organization, and accounting, warehousing, production and distribution of goods and services, and manpower productivity also increase.

Oracle Cloud ERP is a reliable platform that we use in all of our organizations due to its multiplicity and additional modules that fit in the various departments in our organization. We use it to implement various business processes in our organization such as accounting, procurement, financial and revenue management, project portfolio management thus help our company in offering swift and credible services to our customers and enjoy various economies of scale that benefit our growth. It helps ensure that our workflows are smooth and implemented without any delay.
  • It's a platform that holds and comes with extra modules thus brings efficiency in our organization.
  • It's robust and streamlines our workflows, a factor that increases our productivity and growth in our industry.
  • Has streamlined the way we manage and spend our finances/revenue leading to accountability all through.
  • Being a cloud platform its sometimes affected by poor internet connections.
  • Some of our less tech-savvy users were confused in learning how to use the platform but with time they adjusted and took off well.
  • There is no mobile version of the platform.
Oracle Cloud ERP fits well in all organizations and its appropriate where a company wishes to expedite their operations and business processes by using a cost-effective platform. Oracle Cloud ERP is diverse and comes in a number of suites thus will serve across departments and enable easier implementation of roles and enhance the growth of even the small and medium sized organizations.

Oracle Financial Cloud is the cloud version of the already popular Oracle EBS solution. It helps our clients standardize and automate financial processes.
  • Automated journal entries based on custom rules
  • Excellent reporting and dashboards which business users can use without much technical knowledge
  • Seamless Integration with other EBS and cloud modules
  • The support can sometimes take a long time to resolve issues
  • Oracle cloud modules are newer so extensive online reference like EBS is not available
  • There is a learning curve to Oracle cloud as some control are different from EBS
It's well suited for clients who have a large operation and need good reporting and dashboard utility. Companies with very small data needs may not benefit as much from a cloud solution like this.

I manage an Oracle consulting group within Bristlecone. We implement Oracle Cloud products for end customers and we integrate these products with various other Oracle and non-Oracle products. We work with customers from different verticals and implement industry-specific implementation based on the customer's requirement. We do customize these products within the permissible limit and make sure they address the need.
  • Oracle Financial Cloud is extremely good and covers most of the customer's requirement without doing much customization. This is also not a big learning curve from users coming from Oracle EBS. All AP, AR, and GL work great for most of the customers.
  • I also started liking Procurement Cloud. It is coming up well.
  • Project portfolio management is another area which is good with Oracle ERP Cloud.
  • Oracle Order Management or Supply Chain Management has lots of improvement area. It does not do good integration APIs and also does not cover all the needed functionality.
  • Procurement Cloud does not offer dynamic discounting.
If someone is looking for Oracle Financial Cloud, my answer is Yes. If it is for Procurement Cloud then, maybe. If someone wants to switch to ERP Cloud from EBS and if they did not have lots of customization then I would say yes. Or else go cautiously and consult with experts.

Oracle cloud is an Enterprise-class cloud platform. It has 3 main divisions, which are the platform as a service, database as a service, and software as a service. We leveraged all the three components and they worked well for us. We were using outdated disparate systems for various departments. Some of the systems were heavily customized and at the end of their life cycle based on outdated technology. We wanted to move on to a single platform, streamline our processes, use the latest and greatest technology and save money at the same time. After many deliberations, we chose Oracle Cloud. Oracle Cloud is secure, agile, comes with collaboration tools, inbuilt analytics, and is mobile and tablet friendly.
  • User-friendly, intuitive interface. Comes with dashboards and inbuilt analytics.
  • Comes with inbuilt collaboration tools, which helps in achieving efficiency through inter and intradepartmental collaboration.
  • Helps in closing the books on time with automated reconciliations.
  • Helps with ease of use and streamlined business process.
  • All the features available in the Oracle E-business Suite application are not available yet. Oracle is working hard to bring them in. The sooner the better.
  • The Oracle support needs to improve. More information needs to be provided on Oracle's support website.
  • Oracle needs to give importance to the Oracle community. So that more users use it and more people find help in it.
  • Oracle should disseminate the information freely on various products, issues, etc. The information is not available in an easily accessible way.
  • There is scope for improvement in the user guides. They should be simple with diagrams, pictures, etc. As of now, it is not easy to understand from the documentation.
Oracle Financials Cloud is a great product. It is used in various industries all over the world. It helps in meeting the regulatory requirements in various geographies. It is easily scalable as the companies grow. We are in the construction industry and we use retainage in our projects. We could not figure out a way to make it work as of now. It will be great if the retainage feature is added soon in the Cloud. Allocation in general ledgers is complex as of now. I think, it can be made easier and simpler.

Oracle ERP Cloud is being solely used by our Finance department. As our organization started to grow, we quickly realized that we needed a robust and reliable platform that can handle all of our financing needs. Oracle ERP Cloud solves a variety of fundamental finance-related problems such as: planning finance, ensuring governance, managing accounts, managing risks, and reporting of taxes.
  • Enterprise-grade security...period. There is no worse casualty an organization can face other than data theft.
  • Reasonably priced, so it does not empty the organization's budget. The price of Oracle ERP Cloud is lower than most of its competitors.
  • Has plugins for all the major databases, making integration of Oracle ERP quick and easy.
  • The user interface isn't necessarily friendly to newcomers. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to getting used to where all the components and settings are.
  • The stock modules provided may not appeal to all businesses. Our organization had to create custom modules to satisfy our business needs.
  • Lacks localization features that cater to those outside of North America when it comes to legal and fiscal requirements.
Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited for medium-sized businesses and up that are trying to streamline their financing processes on a reliable platform. It is tightly integrated and scalable. If your Finance department is looking to innovate with latest technologies like: AI, AR, ML, IoT, or RPA, Oracle ERP is the perfect solution to your needs.

Oracle helps us to provide integration supply chain manufacturing products and linked them with planning and quotes for customers and vendors, communicating better with internal and externals customers. Planning and Manufacturing runs on the same channel according with sales estimations and reducing inventory cost, this improves our raw materials purchases and reduces cost without impacting quality for our clients
  • Integration with raw materials purchases
  • Planning according to Sales
  • Providing visibility to productions calendars
  • Cost estimations and inventory accuracy
  • Graphics helps on line for end users, learning curve for new employees or end users means money.
  • Solution could help to minimize timing invested on training to any employees on any area
  • Reports, even when the solutions have an excellent structure, it could be good to create independence to end users to create their own end users
  • Emerging view panel to know how the documents are being creating according to the info is captured
You can start any business without a full engineers (IT) team, even though you will get your business running with a whole IT support team and provide or focus on what strategy or new solutions are required with the team that you can hire internally.

For any implementations you need to invest in timing, for your support areas or key users and business, so, nothing comes alone.

We have just started our journey on the Cloud with Finance and we are in the process for Planning, HCM and OTM and expenses in 2019 and procurement and inventory 2020. Excited about the final product at the end as we have all info flowing in one place and no need to work on multiple systems to address reports, sales, inventory and so foth. we are able to reduce some of our manual journal entries, automate bank reconciliation and looking forward to reduce more in the future of those manual journals.
  • Bank reconciliation is great, when automated.
  • Automate rebates
  • dashboards for different account monitoring
  • i would live if dashboard columns you choose or make changes to view stay the same currently they are not
  • Asset Keys are enable in the search engine even though you have the button on.
  • data detail dump for accounts
all data is one place in the future and looking forward to that, reports i wish no breaks may be data dump to give the user the ability to do their searches and reviews.

Oracle Financials is our main ERP system for all of our financial accounting management. It is a heavily integrated system which allows transactions and operations data to flow from our work management, inventory, procurement and HR/payroll systems to accurately record our corporate finances. Oracle Financials allows us to tie together all of these various figures which create the bottom line for the company.
  • Easily integrates with other Oracle products to create a total ERP solution.
  • Has built in functionality and APIs to integrate with third-party systems to deliver the same functionality in a solution product corporate environment.
  • Allows for powerful and flexible reporting.
  • The Oracle Fixed Assets Module is not well suited to handle the unique demands of utility accounting.
  • Upgrades can be a large undertaking for both the technical team and users who will be testing. The magnitude depends on what automated testing is in place and the level of customization within the application.
  • As with most major software it is less problematic to be slightly behind the curve on any patching or overall product version. Bugs in newly released content are not uncommon.
Oracle Financials is especially well suited for customers who are utilizing other Oracle products within their business. It integrates well with other Oracle products and can also integrate with third-party systems. When integrating heavily with third-party systems a product experienced in-house IT staff or outside consulting support will be required. It is a very powerful and robust tool but also requires a significant investment and setup to maximize. It would not be the most efficient system for a smaller company without a large budget or solid IT department.

Our organization worked on open interfaces (inbound and outbound interfaces) and conversions in Oracle Financials. Understanding business flows, underlying technical architecture and the table structure of the Financials suite helped in managing assets and their tracking. It also helped in financial accounting and business intelligence.

Oracle Financials being a collection of enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply-chain management (SCM) computer applications is used by our business operations department for revenue reporting and transactions related to investments.
  • Huge Footprint: provides flexibility to multi national transactions.
  • Highly customized and lets one have freedom to do whatever is required. Easy integration with other modules helps in easier automation of the ERP process.
  • We were able to get a detailed investment report and were able summarize as well.
  • Difficult Customization: Backward compatibility to older versions is difficult.
  • Requires hiring experienced consultants for the reporting solutions (R12).
  • Highly trained staff [is needed] to accomplish changes.
Well suited for big organizations where specialized personnel is there to handle it. But, it has really good customization features for asset and cash flow management.

Oracle Financials is used throughout the Emerson organization and is our primary enterprise management software platform. In my department (and in similar departments throughout the company), we primarily rely upon Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and its Excel add-in, Smart View, for all of our reporting needs. As a supervisor in the Financial Planning and Analysis department of Emerson's largest division, we use HFM and Smart View to retrieve and consolidate information loaded by our business units and world areas. Although HFM apparently has the functionality for report generation, we rely almost exclusively on data manipulation and analysis within Excel for our deliverable needs.
  • HFM is a powerful tool that has the ability to (usually) quickly consolidate and organize large amounts of data from many different sites around the world.
  • HFM's ability to eliminate intercompany transactions is very helpful when a number of our business units buy and sell from one another frequently.
  • Although the mechanics and coding are far from intuitive, the ability to export large amounts of data using the Excel add-in Smart View significantly reduces the amount of time required for manually adjusting individual pieces of data within the HFM system.
  • HFM's interface and functionality is far from being the most user friendly, and the learning curve is especially steep for those new to the system.
  • The coding required to effectively pull data from or export data to HFM within the Excel add-in Smart View is difficult to do and requires a fairly high degree of experience with the system.
  • It is very difficult to make changes to HFM without external support. Its lack of quick adaptability for those in non-IT positions is one of HFM's biggest weaknesses.
My lukewarm recommendation should be taken with a grain of salt, as this is the first enterprise management software platform to which I've been exposed. But having spent 4 years working within HFM, I think I have had a fair amount of exposure to its strengths and weaknesses. Although its functionality can be very powerful and capable of addressing most needs of large organizations, its inability to be quickly manipulated as different business needs arise and its complex, not so user-friendly interface are negatives in my book.
