I think that people at the organization that made the decision to proceed to purchase Oracle Cloud ERP, first of all, were curious to see the differences between other ERP systems and Oracle Cloud ERP. Secondly, they knew that Oracle Cloud Erp had some added features that could make a difference for their customers. So, the decision taken was valuable.

The single most important factor for this decision was our corporate strategy to reduce infrastructure ownership costs by adopting cloud. We were able to replace a lot of resources and reduce cost by moving to cloud. Now we don't hve the hassle of following up on maintaining the server backups, patching or maintaining the server. Oracle Support provides us with timely solutions for any issues that may arise out of their maintenance. It reduced lot of workload and left us to focus on our business rather than these logistics.

The single most important factor in our decision to use the Oracle ERP Cloud is the fact that Oracle is easy to work with and partner with when it comes to current clients and prospects in addition to assisting our own staff in using the software / platform when there is an issue or a question.

I think the most important factor was the fact that we were already using Oracle products. We were piecemealing Oracle's products prior to full buying into the suite. Once we were pleased with Oracle's programming we started looking into what it would take to have our information transferred from our current on-site directories and numerous cloud based. Our consultant (Bryce? I believe) walked us through the process. Even worked with us according to our company's goals to show us on our day-to-day how we would make the shift. Eventually even went as far as to put together a back-up guide for all of our documents to be distributed company-wide.

There is no single important factor while migrating from in house ERP system and selecting from multiple cloud vendors however for us couple of important factors were time to implement and vendor reputation & existing relationship with vendor.
Thats where Oracle came as a first name as we had Oracle PLM software and several databases running on Oracle.
Oracle cloud's ability to provide fusion software for Design to release helped us plan to migrate the PLM system too which proved to be an important strategic decision to get rid of on prem PLM, on prem ERP and PLM-ERP integration adaptor.
This resulted in major cost/ effort saving for IT department.

The most important factor was that Oracle Cloud solution has a lot of point and click and configuration based features. This means that the client could keep a leaner technical team post go live and rely on Oracle support for most post-production support. Also, business users were comfortable using the point and click method of creating reports.

Moving from our 15 year old, unsupported ERP was a critical requirement for the organization. Senior Management viewed it as critical to move to a cloud-based application that would have regular enhancement to support our ongoing business growth. We looked at several options and the overall feature set provided by Oracle ERP made Oracle the clear winner. The ability for business users to run and maintain day-to-day operations with minimal IT support is critical to the lean nature of our organization. Other applications did not offer this ability to the level we desired.

Product usability was the most important as the integration with other tools was the major selling point. As Fujitsu is such a large company, each sector having different implementations of solutions for Finance etc, they needed to be able to integrate together when reporting and other such activities globally were produced.

We were already using Oracle's E-Business Suite for a long time, moving to to the Oracle Cloud made most sense since it did not mean a radical change in terms of change in processes. Besides, the fact that Oracle provides one suite which integrates with almost any and all other parts of business such as Human Capital Management cloud, Marketing Cloud and OBIEE, it made most sense to go with Oracle Cloud.

Pricing, Features, and Usability are the primary items impacting our decision with Price being king. We are ready to let go of a product, regardless of the features if there is a similar product that will met our overall needs. This is an ongoing concern with Oracle as they are not the cost leader....

It is beneficial to run apps in Cloud than On Premise. We saw significant improvement in Pricing. Ease of use and provisioning were the other beneficial factors.

Price and Product Features drove our decision making process to a large extent. Total Cost of Ownership was significantly lower than other options, since we didn't need to maintain any infrastructure. Our industry is also heavily based around Oracle Cloud ERP, so there is a significant talent pool to draw from.

Here are factors -
1. organization direction to move to cloud. Most of the applications should move to cloud.
2. save cost on hosting and maintenance of eBS instance
3. 99% up time. No downtime for upgrades and patches
4. Analysis on the product provided that with the implementation of ERP Cloud, similar functionality can be achieved
5. our organization helped customer to take this decision

Oracle offered the best features we wanted in the product. We already have a relationship with Oracle and we were happy with them. Oracle is constantly innovating and will be around for quite some time. We did explore products from some startups, however we were not sure whether they will be around after 5 years.Oracle is doing a good job in disseminating industry leading best practices.

When deciding what ERP solution to select, we looked mostly to our user base to determine, will this work. Will users be able to do everything via one application and be successful. Oracle allowed users to see their contracts from start to finish in addition to seeing requisitions to order fulfillment. Because of the visibility Oracle ERP Cloud won. There were other competitors that we considered but none of them could offer the full scope of the process like Oracle cloud.
