We were previously using things like Dropbox (for smaller projects), and Microsoft Azure. For the time being they seemed to be amicable solutions. But once we started transferring all of our data-basing, accounting, and really anything related to any metrics to Oracle's JDE and the suites associated, we found that Oracle Cloud based was the only real solution. Currently, we're finding that it was not worth our time to even consider using these other cloud based solutions as the work doubled whenever we needed to access the information. In this era there are already too many accounts and too many servers transferring information. Are you on VPN? Are you on the home internet? All these issues become ghosts of the past once we transferred over.

Our company was using Epicor ERP earlier which had significant issues to implement the standard Quote to cash and procure to pay processes. We needed a standard ERP system which has no scalability issues for multi site functionality and has no integration issues with other upstream enterprise systems.
This is where Oracle Cloud ERP came with really flying colors, and having it in the cloud reduced a lot of burden on the IT systems and team to let them focus on other standard application and user problem solving.

The client was earlier using Oracle EBS and wanted to start using Oracle's cloud solution. They wanted to start using cloud so that their over all infrastructure costs are reduced and they can use a per user type of system. Also, since there is less scope for customization in cloud, they would be able to run the project with a leaner team after go live.

Oracle ERP cloud replace SAP ERP to better integrate with the new suite of Oracle tools in Oracle Fusion Cloud, as well as with Oracle Integration Cloud. It also integrates with our provision of Oracle Single Sign on cloud and the overall suite had a higher Return of Investment than SAP's suite would offer.

ERP Cloud was able to replace a number of home grown applications. Specifically in the area of BI related reporting we were able to leverage the OTBI tool to create daily reporting distributions and FRS books and batches for financial distributions.

We replaced a Microsoft GL product with Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, Procurement, and Supply Chain. Our prior product was not scalable globally, and did not have a robust Supply Chain Module. We also struggled previously with more advanced features in the Financials space, including integration capabilities with REST API endpoints and OLAP cube capabilities.

It replaces Oracle EBS at my customer end where we implemented. Customer did customization at Oracle EBS and achieving similar functionality was challenge and we could able to achieve it.
While ERP cloud can be considered as natural successor of Oracle EBS if customer want to move to the cloud but many times it may not be easy, therefore customer also move EBS to oracle cloud infrastructure (OCI).
But if moving to ERP cloud is possible, customer should strive to do so as it can turn out to be best TCO and low in maintenance.

We replace SAP Bussiness One, because all the data integrity we had it's not accurate and also to change company culture. We spend eight years with the previous erp and the we have of the company needs a conectivity, communcation and fast information that oracle cloud provides to our collaborates.

We replaced our old ERP tool with Oracle cloud. The old ERP tool is outdated and we customized it to the point, where it cannot be upgraded. We acquired many companies over the time and we wanted a scalable, reliable solution, hence we chose oracle cloud.
We have disparate systems tied up with outdated interfaces, we chose to get rid of those outdated systems and move on to a single coherent platform.

We were currently utilizing two applications, Ariba and PeopleSoft for our source to settle process. Ariba was utilized as the Sourcing and Contracts application, PeopleSoft HCM, and PeopleSoft Financials. There were several integrations set up between the three applications to load HR users, contract data, invoice payments, etc. These integrations for the most part were successful. However, anytime there was an upgrade or patch that needed to be completed, this would cause issues with our integrations. Therefore, extensive testing was needed and took up valuable time from several areas of the organization.
