Oracle Cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) helps enterprise IT and independent software vendor (ISV) developers rapidly build and deploy rich applications—or extend Oracle Cloud SaaS apps—using an enterprise-grade cloud platform based on the Oracle database and application server. Oracle Cloud Platform is presented by the vendor as a comprehensive, standards-based, fully integrated combination of Oracle and open source technologies to build, deploy, migrate, and manage a variety of different application workloads in the cloud at a lower operational cost.

For organizations with strict data residency, compliance, or latency requirements, Oracle Cloud Platform is also available within organizations' data centers, fully managed by Oracle.

THEY ARE SCAMS!!! After launching your service from them, you will get suspended for no reason. You will not be able to contact support and the chat agents will just say you are suspended without any reason to say and disregard you.

Well suited for all [sizes] of companies as long as you have the right profiles to handle the deployment and [follow-up] of the project. With the release of training and [certification,] it is becoming easier to find such profiles Not well suited for [the] small and medium [enterprise] already fully running on competitors infrastructures as some services will not be [found] as easily (out of the box) compared to AWS, Azure or GCP[.]

This is a perfect solution if you have other Oracle products that you want to integrate as it is pretty easy to set up [an] Oracle ecosystem. It is a less appropriate solution if you want to regularly upload/download your data.

Oracle Cloud Platform is well suited if you are already using Oracle applications, Database, or middleware offerings as you can move your existing licenses from on-prem to Oracle Cloud Platform easy. It is also well suited if you are planning to deploy applications that span multiple geographies, for example, the US and UK. It is not well suited if the applications are simple and scale is limited.

Oracle Cloud Platform is good for users who do not code to understand how everything works. It provides a rich, easy to understand UI experience. A sales engineer would be well equipped to use this. I'm not very technical and am new at coding, so this is simple to use as you don't need to code to use the platform.

We had been slowly implementing Oracle products to replace several existing systems and so we needed a platform that would work to integrate across all of these solutions. Our company is fairly large and we work with a variety of clients and vendors as well. We needed an easier way for everyone to access information and discuss what data and future integration were most appropriate.

The ability to easily maintain the database and add computing resources was a key reason. The app is being used by remote staff, is not overly large but performance and availability are very important. Being hosted on Oracle's Cloud Platform allows for 24x7 access by end users and we can easily adjust the computing resources if more is needed.More will be needed as we roll this app to the field. The nice part about this solution is we will not have to re-host the database or app because of growth.

I definitely would like to recommend Oracle Cloud Platform to colleagues and friends where the organization is using most of the Oracle based systems/tools and databases, it becomes really easy to control infrastructure/environment on Oracle Cloud.
