  • Consolidated desperate email marketing solutions into a more comprehensive marketing automation platform.
  • Vastly facilitated alignment between marketing and sales teams.
  • Enabled marketers to come up with always-on and more complex nurtures.

  • In one case, Oracle Eloqua has reduced the number of tasks assigned to our Retention team from 7 / new account to 1. GIven that each Manager is assigned several hundred accounts through the year, the time- and resource-savings were incredible

  • Eloqua has made it more efficient for marketers to go to market with sophisticated trigger based campaigns
  • Eloqua has made it more efficient for marketers to evaluate and optimize their campaigns with easy to use reporting
  • Eloqua has had some data integration issues that have held us back in being able to fully scale the solution.

  • Automated the campaign process to create a far better experience than if it was done manually for over 20,000 customers.
  • Great improvement in lead management & lead scoring - this only started to really be put under a microscope 2 years ago by marketing leadership & while some of the concepts were new to the team, Eloqua was already perfectly capable of aiding in this. Now scores are generated around: Title, Type of content requested, amount of content requested, reoccurring/frequency - all used to fit our needs in a formula around the campaigns in Eloqua.
  • Also, another great little use case for Eloqua, say a salesperson has a VIP customer that they are worried about, with Eloqua - a marketer could show sales how that one VIP is engaging over time. Has there been a sudden dropoff of opening emails, visiting the site, etc. or is the VIP still engaging as per usual & just not interested in the salesperson pitch?

  • Oracle Eloqua has been instrumental in allowing us to connect the dots on all of our marketing efforts to effectively track and monitor the ROI on not only Eloqua but ensuring visibility on ROI of other platforms as well. This has been vital in supplementing lack of ROI visibility we potentially could have with other platforms.
  • Based on the length of time our organization has had Eloqua it is clear to be able to see how easy we are able to see the ROI and how well the platform has performed for us.
  • Eloqua has been a vital aspect to the organization and departments throughout the org are not only familiar with the product and how it supports us but understand the value the tool gives the company.

  • Some companies underestimate the effort that is required to maintain Marketing Automation. Be aware that it requires time and effort of multiple people.
  • During all my implementations we've seen an increase on Lead Generation and Lead Nurturing.
  • In the start the ROI will be low, after fully adapting and using Oracle Eloqua for multiple campaings you will start to see the increase. Only then you'll see what works and what doesn't work for your specific target group.

  • Because of the way Eloqua looks, it is very easy for employees to get familiar with the product. With just a few days of training, employees are ready to use the product.
  • At first the implementation cost can be relatively high. However, over time you will see improvements on your ROI and because of the solid lead scoring system, Sales will be busy with only those contacts that are ready to purchase.

  • We use the Closed Loop Reporting in Eloqua to create leads from campaigns, web inquiries and our highly engaged contacts. As well as this the Salesforce integration we've built demonstrates automatic influence marketing has on opportunities as a direct measurement of ROMI.

  • The Lead tracking was good but it is complex as well
  • The older the system grows the more difficult it is to handle
  • It is too expensive and you can have other tools such as Pardot or Marketo that work better than Eloqua
  • You need to have Java lnowledge to work on customization

  • When it was first implemented, Eloqua did a great job to let the marketing team build a process for building the database and sending emails.
  • Over time, Eloqua's limitations have prevented the marketing team from improving its productivity and scalability as an organization. At this point it is an albatross around our neck that we must free ourselves from.

  • We only provide support for our clients, so I cannot share hard numbers, but we do notice our clients getting much more leads of better quality out of their marketing efforts.
  • By aligning Eloqua CRM integration with business flows, we see our clients are learning how to qualify leads and how to follow up on them.
  • At the same time, using Eloqua allows them to close the loop on marketing efforts, which gives marketeers the ability to validate their budgets.

  • It has had a great impact on our ROI at least from the B2C side, driving customer retention through renewal purchases made as a result of automated emails.
  • We have also been able to drive net new revenue from automated email campaigns on the B2C side.
  • As far as B2B, we currently have had some struggles with attributing revenue and integrating Salesforce properly.
