  • We are able to manage many campaigns at once.
  • We have had some service issues that have had a negative impact on ROI, but only for that short time that the outage occurred.
  • We have been able to support all of our business goals with Eloqua, it just took us longer to get our processes changed to align with the way that Eloqua works.

  • We're still working to connect actual dollar-value ROI to our business objectives. But, Oracle Eloqua's metrics and visibility to delivery, etc., has had a huge impact on the way we've segmented our communications so that we're aligned to send the right message to the right person at the right time.

  • It assists in automating our campaigns including webinars, events, product, promotions and market driven campaigns.
  • Providing the right content to the right customer effectively.
  • Working in Eloqua itself. Sometimes it can be time consuming.

  • Increased Lead Conversion - better targeted campaigns led to increased lead conversion; we were able to introduce new types of campaigns; for example welcome or nurturing campaigns
  • Faster Lead Conversion - as everything is in Eloqua you can start faster with follow-up ups, which leads to a shorter lead cycle
  • Increased efficiency - more and better targeted campaigns

  • Eloqua allows us to automate many of the communications that a rep would normally have to do personally. This saves time for account and sales teams to be able to focus on serving the clients or selling.
  • Eloqua also allows us to automate nurturing, onboarding and winback campaigns.
  • Eloqua can sometimes be slow with a very large database. i have not found a solution that allows any additional speed for the size of our database, but occasionally it does slow user productivity while waiting for steps to complete.

  • There is a worldwide level of cost savings around consolidating and eliminating 3rd parties, agencies and consultants who have been paid to accomplish the same activities done in Eloqua.
  • Also, trigger programs, nurture and direct response emails have led to some increased revenue and engagement with database of prospects, leading to new customers.

  • When we got Eloqua we really had to get on the same page with the sales team. Having an automation tool really helped our marketing and sales alignment, which translated to better handling of things marketing was passing over the fence.
  • We were able to run longer, ongoing programs. Prior to Eloqua it was 100% batch and blast, and we rarely paid attention to previous activity (because we just didn't have the systems to do that).
  • We were able to help the Client Services team streamline new client onboarding. We created product specific onboarding programs that pushed new users to take training. We found that if new users took training in the beginning they were less likely to call support - so it deflected a lot of inbound tickets. It also gave us a better way to suggest new products for the AM team to upsell/cross sell without having to talk to every client about every product (AKA increased revenue).

  • Marketing is now sourcing 48% of the entire sales pipeline.
  • Sales team can't keep up with the volume of qualified leads.
  • We are now able to track everything marketing does and get the credit we deserve for generating business for the company.

  • In one business unit that I measured, the percentage of marketing-sourced sales qualified leads doubled from 20% to 40%. The improved performance was primarily attributed to the lead nurturing, scoring and automation capabilities of Eloqua. Before Eloqua there was always a big debate about what contribution marketing was having to the sales pipeline. With Eloqua, we are able to conclusively demonstrate the impact - ending the debate.
  • Due its complexity Eloqua can have a negative impact on your responsiveness to customers. The complexity of the lead scoring engine can result in significant delays in the time before leads are passed to a sales representative. Also, if programmed incorrectly the lead scoring engine will recommend you not follow up on leads that may have high potential. For example, you might configure Eloqua to score leads from Executive Assistants relatively low, but they are often doing research on behalf of their boss (e.g. the CIO).

  • When I first implemented Eloqua we managed to reduce the amount of time taken to build a campaign by over 50%.
  • When we delivered our first nurturing program, we managed to create over a million Euro of incremental revenue in the first year.
  • Our sales team are using the Engage product to send emails to their prospects using templates that we have provided. Feedback has suggested that this is saving them a massive amount of time and is driving sales productivity up.

  • Using the system, employees adapt better to using more technology in our work processes.
  • As I also stated, it is compatible with the other systems we use so we do not have to purchase a separate system to house data for training, etc.
  • As for negative impact, it has not changed our efficiency.
