  • Targeting & Personalisation - Without doubt, one of the strongest elements of Eloqua's offering is the ability to carve up your existing data and use any or all of the information we have on them to personalise the messaging and types of comms we send. This impact was immediate.
  • Event Management - We have a rather complex event management process and the Events Module in Eloqua, combined with the campaign canvas, allows us to cut out a lot of the manual processes we previously had to endure.
  • Employee Efficiency - With only a relatively small Marketing team, we are able to run a number of campaigns simultaneously for different sales teams.

  • Employee efficiency - It is nice to be able to copy and reuse templates for webinars and repeat campaigns
  • Tracking - it allows me to see how my campaigns are performing, test subject lines and ensure that I'm using best practices

  • We have a small marketing team of 2 and our efficiency has increased greatly.
  • Our email deliverability has improved from 55%-75% (before Eloqua) to 93% with Eloqua.
  • Inquiries doubled over first 3 months.
  • Sales qualified leads increased 62% year over year in the first quarter, and 114% year over year in the second quarter.

  • Increased efficiency: although it takes more work at the beginning of a campaign, once it's set up and running I can move on to focus on something else.
  • Improved innovation: the various cloud connectors have helped me to be more innovative. I have built entire campaigns around functionality that I discovered through one of the cloud connectors.
  • Right message/right time: Eloqua has allowed me to go beyond the 'spray and pray' approach of putting out a generic message. I can now easily personalize my communications and my follow up generating more qualified leads.

  • Time savings in webinars is huge (83% reduction in labor hours alone).
  • Frees up Marcom staff to do better campaign planning.
  • Encourages nurturing campaigns where before, without automation, this was next to impossible.

  • Lead flow time; It takes just minutes between an action on our website and a lead to be triggered after scoring, so better sales efficiency.
  • Less leakages! Eloqua delivers leads, correctly formated with all necessary details for a good follow up, all of that verified by Eloqua first.
  • The sum of the 2 points above is making our sales team much more efficient and therefore we see better conversion rate and more leads for the same budget!

  • The tool has certainly helped our sales team communicate to leads more effectively.
  • Our emails look significantly more professional, and we're able to finally run automated campaigns.
  • We spent a great deal of time getting the tool working properly...much more so than was expected.

  • Increased employee efficiency - we can create landing pages and forms without IS help. Admittedly though, the more complex concepts we want to implement the more we're realizing that we still need people who know how to code in order to complete them.
  • Cost reduction in reliance on direct mail.

  • Eloqua overall offers a great ROI to your sales team. The marketing team is able to process leads or contacts, process and place values on them to pass to your CRM system in a completely customizable manner. Theses values allow your sales team to prioritize and interact with their leads or engaged contacts in an efficient way.
  • In the marketing world the ability to deliver the right content at the right time is invaluable. Assuming you have the content piece taken care of, Eloqua's program builder makes the rest very easy to achieve and understand with a feature that functions like a flow chart does. We use dozens of customized nurture programs to makes this happen based on custom values. We use things like marketing stage fields in conjunction with custom date stamps that you can place during lead activity to determine when to deliver your content.

  • This very much depends on the experiments that are being carried out. We have seen some significant increases in conversion and revenue on some tests, and some have not given any quantifiable benefit.
  • The tool has led to a much more open approach to the ability to test different things and to try something new. The problem now is getting all the things that people want to test into the queue and delivered in a timely manner.

  • The ROI from Eloqua came from our much improved email campaign results (as measured by revenue derived from email programs), both in normal email campaign activity and through lead nurturing.

  • We recouped our first year investment with the first campaign we ran-- the sheer reach that we were able to get would have cost us 200% of what we spent on our Eloqua subscription in year 1. Our thought leadership content consumption broke records. We also later closed 3 deals from that campaign that I believe we would not have been able to touch previously.

  • The investment of internal resources was extremely high.
  • Our low productivity in the tool led to a need for more resources.
  • The complexity and failures we encountered led to needing a full-time IT resource instead of technical marketing expertise setting up advanced features. This resulted in need for transfer of budget $$ from programs to generate revenue to consulting hours to help diagnose, set up, fix, etc…issues.
