SIMPLE the features are automated both on cloud or on premise applications. Then the help desk that is always available offer good help when needed. It's capabilities to integrate also simplify it's use. It is one of the softwares I have used without having any trouble at all. Simple, perfect and effective.

Oracle is usable but it does have a learning curve. While the learning tools give you access to navigation and how to do simple tasks - trying to figure out complex items such as editing past campaign elements or finding the proper report can take a bit. Overall, you'll need to sit in front of the system and not be afraid to get your hands dirty and touch some buttons. Nothing terrible will happen and you'll learn a ton making it easy to use.

Eloqua's usability is great once you get used to it. The first year can be difficult to integrate every aspect of its functionality. Once past this, I found it great to go beyond the basic functionality and start automating campaigns with complex interactions.

Personally, I find it quite easy to use. But for those members of our team who have little or no testing experience, it's been a bit more difficult. There's also training required for development teams in order to have your campaigns coded and set up in the most efficient way. Our developers have been able to do basic and intermediate tests with no difficulty, and they find the interface itself quite intuitive... it's just the extremely complex tests that require a bit more understanding.

I am not a primary user in the system so this is based on team member feedback. There is a learning curve with any marketing automation platform, as well as a specific learning curve to the nuances of how we use this system. You need a dedicated team willing to spend their time in the system and continually learning it to make the most of it. It is not "easy", but no one really promised it would be "easy" to use - since it has so many features and flexibility.

It was almost as if a marketer was not involved in the UI testing. It does not work the way a marketer thinks. Features are spread apart in different areas of the product that would normally be a step by step for a marketer. For example, you create your emails in a separate area from your landing pages in a separate area from your filters and even distribution lists and all of that is completely divorced from the automation setup. Technical people were taking 2-3 hours to set up an email. By contrast, in Marketo – everything that you would need to run a campaign – email, landing, list, automated steps, etc, sits within the campaign folder so you can easily run through everything you need.
