It would be a 10 if not for some lag/load problems that in hindsight might have been scale related. Asking Eloqua about their biggest deployment sizes, scalability figures would be a big benefit to evaluators. I came into an environment where Eloqua was already being used so I missed out on seeing the transformative before & after effect - but it does provide a wealth of options for personalizing the automated interaction a user experiences based on their interaction - options to help prevent literature fatigue, re-engage, check-in/brand messaging experiences can all be weaved into the experience & easily applied.

We are a global company of over 65,000 employees. We have over 125 users of Eloqua across the globe. It can be difficult to ensure everyone is following the guidelines, best practices and policy of the tool. I am constantly policing it and finding users who are not doing what it required or sending messages via Eloqua that are not approved.

Eloqua scales great. It allows you to quickly grow as your data base grows and adding new campaigns or supplementing older campaigns with new content is easy (assuming you set your campaign up to scale). With the correct planning we have been able to grow our marketing program significantly while ensuring we are keeping up with new marketing trends.

During the Implementations I was a part of, scalability was a discussion point. How will it react when more and more contacts will be added? Will we be able to use one instance for multiple countries where our organisation is located? In the end, Eloqua will perform great as long as you investigate which limitations are in place.

Eloqua works for companies with 10k contacts, but also very good for enterprises with 6million+ contacts. Because of the solid solution for personalisation of emails, each contact is treated personally and will feel valued. Because of the good integration options, it is very easy to connect Eloqua to one of your other products within the Marketing Landscape.

Oracle Eloqua makes it very simple to scale and personlise all of your marketing efforts. The marketing segmentation features that Oracle Eloqua has are very straight forward to use, and the scenarios or criteria for this is also easy to define in Oracle Eloqua.

It is too labor intensive to provide any real scale. Yes, it can send out millions of emails, but it doesn't scale at the marketing project level. The technical nature and lack of usability are major barriers to get widespread adoption in an organization, let alone in a broader marketing department.

A lot its features are modular, meaning they can be added or removed from the system via addons. Similarly, the system is built to handle not only large numbers of contacts, but complex contact segmentation and contact security (separation of contacts based on criteria like business unit, sales region etc.) as well. Finally, user administration is very refined, allowing you to configure users' access very precisely, down to which button they can and cannot click.

There are several areas that make this product scalable across our organization. We are are doing more and more with Eloqua each month. Finding new ways to automate emails and work with custom data objects (opportunities in Salesforce). We run campaigns based on responses we receive from our events, paid search (PPC) organic and other demand generation vendors we work with. It is the engine that runs everything with several individuals who access and use the product within North America.

Eloqua has great capacity to scale while still making it possible to implement an account based marketing strategy because it is very simple to create segment lists, with customized campaigns for each segment, and to set up scheduled email blasts, as well as analyze the responses from your campaign efforts and make the necessary changes to your strategy.

Eloqua does give you the ability to scale in terms of the number of campaigns and contacts, as well as the ability to support multiple brands within the platform, but it comes at a high price. Not only is the cost high, but it requires a team to manage that is very technically savvy.

It's the only tool that is truly scalable. There's still a little room for continued improvement and perfecting new things, so I didn't give it the full 10. But, it's the best tool out there for tracking your leads through every integrated campaign and channel, and then segmenting that out by persona or business unit or brand. At my company, we haven't started personalizing a lot yet since we have a ton of data clean-up to do first, but we know that personalization will provide a huge lift in our metrics.

This helps me save tons of FTE hours by automating and triggering a lot of our email processes. In the long run that should also aid the data and information we gather to eventually segment our recipients even better. Dynamic emailing in these days simply is a must have for each brand.
