  • One of the positive things is that we do not need to worry about scalability so we can grow as much as we can without any bottlenecks.
  • As a negative of course are the costs which increased but I can ensure that it [is worth it].

  • ADW is the only tool we explored as a cloud data warehouse and it is able to provide us with summary reports from the core ERP cloud that was previously only manual.
  • ADW relieves us of maintenance issues as it is already taken care of.
  • ADW lets us avoid having dedicated skilled resources such as DBA since the support is now primarily shifted to cloud.

  • We had to hire dedicated staff to manage the data warehouse. Negatively impacted ROI.
  • Initial price dented the company budget. It took twice as much time to make it all back.
  • It is not a cloud solution, so purchasing hardware to support Oracle Data Warehouse was expensive as well.

  • We are just now opening up a Business Intelligence area in our company. In general, the business seems in love with the quick access to data.
  • Analytics and predictive functions, much of which is done with the power of the database, have helped us stay ahead of our competition.
  • This is an expensive and fantastic product all at the same time. Don't be fooled that administration costs will go down when you implement this. I believe it requires as much (or more) administration as anything out there.
