Oracle Database

Cornerstone utilizes Oracle DB at our organization as well as recommends to other organizations for purchase as well as manages existing Oracle DB installations. We provide managed services for organizations that have the Oracle DB. Additionally we upgrade older versions to the newer version of the DB.

I work for Intuit and here Oracle is used by almost all product teams across all verticles. At our team we primarily use it for recording various application configurations as well as for our data warehouse solution. So we effectively use oracle database products for OLTP and Data warehousing. This helps to make our applications modular as the state is captured constantly within the Oracle DB.

Oracle Database is being used by all Oracle Utility Applications and is a single option for all data needs. The Oracle Exadata Hardware with Oracle Database helped with a lot of performance issues and dealing with terabytes of data.

Oracle Database 12c is used by multiple departments at our company. It is the backend database for a number of applications that we run, both Oracle provided applications and supported applications. It addresses the performance and daily functions of our business. We use it for a variety of functions from customer-facing to internal apps.

Oracle Database is used as our OLTP databases. It is being used by a couple of departments at my company.

Oracle Database 12 C is used by our entire organization. It is used for our data repository. Oracle 12c has number of features and easily scalable for enterpise requirements. Along with the features, support is provided for integration with different platforms which helps in building applications with different technologies possible.

We have over 40 Applications running on Oracle Database. Oracle Database is used by the entire organization in dev, test, staging, training and production environments. I can't, unfortunately, go into details of the business problems it addresses.

Oracle database is the primary backend data storage software at the client. Multiple instances installed across the network support both custom-built applications and Oracle’s applications like OID and OBIEE.

I upgraded all Oracle production databases (about 15 production databases) from 11g R2 to 12c R2. The Oracle 12c databases are used university-wide, and are really critical to the university business.

Oracle Database is being used by my organization as the primary database for data storage. We use it with hibernate to be able to develop in Java and use the database in an object-oriented way.

Oracle Database 12c is being used across the whole organization. We use it to store payment and card-related data. We prefer Oracle because data consistency is very important to us.

Oracle Database is the principal database engine for the operations of my company because is a big enterprise, it is managing millions of records of information about final users. Great features combined like Real Application Clusters, Dataguard, and ASM are just a few of the great things that Oracle Database offers. In addition, we are an Oracle partner and deploy Oracle database in the infrastructure of external customers.

Most of our data is housed in Oracle Database 12c. It is used lots with other BI tools to get a pulse on the data and pull reports for the organization.

We use Ellucian Banner for the college. The backend is an Oracle database. We are currently on 11.2.0.4 and are planning to upgrade to 12.2.0.1. I also have some databases on 12.1.0.2.

Multiple departments use Oracle and different software use connections to multiple databases that are in Oracle. It allows connectivity with all applications and it's useful for all the reporting tools we have. We can keep all our customer data in one central location.

80-85 percent of data from the university is stored on an Oracle Database and all apps connect to our DB.

Oracle Database is being used for applications used by different business units across the organization.

The Oracle database is currently what houses our data in relation to our corporate ERP system. The database sits on an Oracle Database 12c appliance for ease of access and use. On the ODA, this Oracle Database 12c is 1 of 5. Also running in parallel are another five that run for production, testing, and development. This database and architecture were selected for performance and security reasons

It is being used across departments. We used it to automate our audit and compliance cases, as well as case management. This year we be implementing 100% of our case management, and all new audits will be worked in the system as well. Currently, 100% of our compliance cases are worked within the database.

Oracle Database is great. We work with it every day and it's an important tool to provide value & info to our senior management. I manage a 20 person team and we are intensive users. We have to extract and process profitability information for reports, quickly. We know we can trust it and that our information is safe and easily accessible.

Oracle Database is used across the whole organization. We use it for data collections and index calculations for various in-house government programs. We also have front end applications written in Java using Oracle Database.

We are using Oracle Database for all of our critical applications for both OLTP and DW usage. It is used across the organization. It provides us a single platform to store all of our critical data and then extract it to use for analytics. It provides us an efficient OLTP database for managing high traffic processing applications
