Oracle managed DNS becomes very heavy when there is an ample amount of DNS being managed. However, the DNS creation and updating takes very less time to propagate and is very easy to use. So, for an organization, where there is a modest amount of DNS to manage, it works very well and gives a splendid experience. So, considering the complexity of managing the DNS for an IT company Oracle Dyn managed DNS is the best option to opt.

Oracle Dyn Managed DNS service is well suited for any company looking for a strong, very reliable external DNS infrastructure that also has support for dynamic records that change regularly.

Its very easy to manage and does exactly what it advertises. It works great if you have multiple DNS records to manage. It makes it really easy to do so. If you only have 1 record then it probably doesn't make sense to use Dyn. Other than that I'd say use it.

For any company that needs a robust DNS service that can handle high QPS volumes without latency or lag, Oracle Dyn is the best that I have used. I can always rely on the backend infrastructure to ensure that DNS isn't a bottleneck for website performance. I have never had to open a support ticket for any issues and published changes to DNS records are nearly instantaneous across the globe.

RESTful APIs are really helpful in automating for creating, updating, and deleting A records. During a 2016 DDoS attack, Oracle Dyn Managed DNS recovered relatively quicker given the scale and complexity of the attack.

We have 102 zones currently and are always adding more. The ease of use is a big plus. It's very easy to create everything you need and get to where you need in a few clicks. I have even started using the API and a powershell module to create/modify some records.

Dyn is something of an industry standard when it comes to global DNS providers. The platform is used by many major web-based companies, and for good reason.

As one of the largest providers of public DNS services, Dyn is hard to beat in terms of reliability or feature set. However, if your QPS needs aren't at an enterprise level and you won't be taking advantage of some of the more "advanced" features like DNS Load Balancing, Traffic Director, or GeoDNS, you may be better off with a less-expensive plan or alternative.

Oracle Dyn Managed DNS is well suited for companies that need to do rapid deployments of multiple web domain instances that need very minimal latency and maximum DNS uptime. It is also useful for companies that need to do fail-over capabilities and rapidly change DNS records on the fly. It is not as useful to companies who are not worried about serving content quickly or are not doing rapid changes.

It works great for providing fast access to the IPs of our different web sites, email services, proxies and we didn't ever look for an alternative since we moved [to this solution]. It was previously dynECT, and I find that name easier to remember than Oracle Dyn Managed DNS, but the service hasn't changed and we're still happy with it.

Companies that are frequently needing to update DNS and/or have propagation occur quickly are well suited here. The ability to drop TTLs to 30 seconds makes migrations (and reverting) easy. DNS Active Failover is a great alternative for those that need high availability but don't want to sink lots of money into other technologies.
