We use Eloqua across the organization. It allows us visibility into what contacts are receiving. Multiple groups want to reach out to the same contacts so this allows us to control the messaging.

This is couple of years back before Eloqua was bought by Oracle. I was at a Eloqua conference and during one of the sessions my boss called me with problem in 3 of the campaigns that I'd set up for that morning. None of the emails where going through.

Not sure what to do without a laptop, I was looking around for someone to help and that’s when someone pointed me to a Elqoua support person. When I told him about the problem, without hesitation he helped me and connected me with another senior support person.

I think it's people like them who makes a big difference in companies and without a word, by just looking at my panicked face he started helping me and fixed all 3 campaigns. He also kept checking with me to see if everything else was fine.

  • A web agency works with us to create our emailings, but from time to time, we do it ourselves and it is not that easy to use.
  • For end users, difficulty to use it if not in the tool on a daily basis.
To our marketing colleagues, I would say "don't stop after the first year of implementation, the best is yet to come when automating campaigns".
To our sales colleagues, "how could you sell before, when you did not have that amount of leads coming from our campaigns ?"
And then, now that it's fully running after 18 months of use, there is so much more to to!

Change management was a small part for the marketing lot including Eloqua, as I was in charge of administering the platform and training the marketing and communication team internally
  • The main issue was the quality of our marketing data which needed to be reviewed before connecting Eloqua to our CRM, a long and thorough process
  • Another was to make Eloqua work with our Salesforce CRM, to be sure that the marketing data went up correctly to our CRM through our lead scoring process
The implementation of Eloqua is not a problem if data are correct and if the overall process between Eloqua and the CRM are well taken into account.
Eloqua University is very intersting, with a thorough programme and very experienced trainers. The Master programme is great!

Eloqua's usability is great once you get used to it. The first year can be difficult to integrate every aspect of its functionality. Once past this, I found it great to go beyond the basic functionality and start automating campaigns with complex interactions.

Maxymiser is an essential part of our website development and conversion strategy. It is used to test and prove the business value of new ideas and concepts and to further increase the conversion rates of business critical pages on the website.
  • Maxymiser is a great conversion testing tool that allows us to create complex MVT and less complex A/B/n conversion campaigns
  • Different testing methodologies are available including full factorial. Essential for ensuring that robust results for high traffic sites
  • Maxymiser is incredibly easy to implement on the site as it uses a small (single line of code,) tag on each page
  • Can run campaigns on various different devices, including mobile and tablet
  • Offers much more than just conversion campaigns, including behavioural targeting, advanced segmentation and a recommendation engine
  • Self service option may prove a little complex for those new to conversion optimisation
  • Internal dedicated conversion resource is required to get the most out of the tool
Maxymiser is well suited to all scenarios of conversion testing, however if you are unsure of of your ability or new to conversion campaigns ask about the fully managed option during the selection process.
