I am amazed at the control I can get in my work thanks to Oracle Enterprise Data Management, the extensive number of tools it offers to manage your work and all employees, it is surprising, this software is the perfect help to keep track of all the current operations in relation to the databases and the data that are stored, so that this information can be used in the area of marketing or related sectors.
  • I like that I can allocate the information according to a catalog or a categorization.
  • The system has enough ability to do data analysis without problems.
  • The management of the system requires a structured training, otherwise it is not handled correctly.
  • The interface is not very understandable, it deserves a thorough study of each tool before using it professionally.
Oracle Enterprise Data Management has allowed us to share information with other departments, in this way we can unite the marketing department with the sales department and ensure that the projects that are generated attend to the data that each one throws up. It has also allowed us to integrate the data and contributes to collaborative work, this has satisfactorily reduced customer refusals in the face of possible cost increases.

Oracle Enterprise Data Management basically creates a set of processes, practices and activities focused on data accuracy, quality, security, availablity and good governance. It provides a set of functionalities which any client look for for securing data and control the governance based of different client needs. It's highly secure by providing different role based access to user where business user from one business process cannot view or update data for other business area
  • Accessing high quality data for accurate analysis
  • Ensuring your data is secure and complaint
  • Consolidating data across multiple sources
  • Overall its doing a great job when it comes to various factors
  • of securing, making it available and so on which somebody from the business looks for
  • Area of improvement can be in terms of scalability where it can handle trillions of data and their querying mechanism can be improved
By having data management mechanism business user wants to ensure that their data is in secure place and available when business users need it. So EPM is doing great job in providing the flexibility in terms of accessibility and securing it as per different business processes
One area of improvement can be in terms of volume management where little bit of tuning is required so that trillions and millions of data can be made available to user in one go in a very less processing time

Oracle Enterprise Data Management provides our end users with the ability to safely store and protect large amounts of our data in a custom manner which allows us to have better insights and make better business decisions based on it. We use it for a variety of data entries and is a valuable application in our day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Custom tools & management of data
  • Acts as a failsafe from losing data
  • Data visualization
  • Steep learning curve compared to other applications
  • The UI can be finicky, certain actions cause the application to glitch or cause issues
  • Occasionally laggy/slow to respond
It really is a powerful and useful tool in our day-to-day use case, but we do have some issues with teaching users how to use it, as well as certain "clicks" cause the system to encounter fatal errors. Additionally, we notice high latency when clicking after filling fields with data

This tool help manages multiple applications of Master Data. This tool also helps to make Acquisitions and Mergers help quickly and more efficiently. Put standard validations upfront to protect the integrity of your master data. Wraps the downstream applications in a Governance shield so that standards are upheld. Procurer to EDM was DRM. DRM had a lot more customizations that EDM is still lacking.
  • Holds your applications to a Standard.
  • Protects User from entering incorrect information.
  • Help people start talking about Governance.
  • Need have the ability to write more validations.
  • Needs more flexibility in Governance.
  • The cost of owning EDM is way to high.
EDM is great for clients who are in the cloud and need to manage multiple applications. EDM excels at this type of use. EDM is not the best at full governance and complex approvals. You find yourself having a secondary process outside of EDM which is not ideal. EDM is also not ideal for hybrid environments. Hybrid would be defined as downstream or upstreams not being in the Oracle Cloud.

We create and distribute large amounts of training recourses, including CBTs, guidebooks, manuals, job aids, and more. To help us ensure the materials are relevant, beneficial, and utilized properly, we use Oracle Metadata to provide large amounts of information, as well as catalogue reference materials and documents for future use.
  • High number of options
  • Powerful reporting and catalog capabilities
  • Integrated well with our LMS
  • Learning curve for those not experienced with data management can be high
  • Increased tutorials and basic reporting templates
  • Slight speed improvements
As mentioned in my first paragraph, we have found Oracle MetaData management to be very helpful with our training material. Because our business is constantly changing, we often have to modify terminology, procedures, photos, and more. Properly cataloging our materials allows us to use the metadata to quickly search through all resources and identify items that require revision. It is very helpful and saved a tremendous amount of time searching.
