  • Positive ROI with Oracle Hyperion has been realized through increasing planning for budgeting and forecasting yearly and on a month-on-month basis.
  • Positive ROI for Oracle Hyperion has been realized with increased accuracy of budgeting and forecasting predictions of financial data across the organization.
  • As with any product, once Hyperion had been utilized across divisions on a regular basis, the demand to integrate information from other unconnected systems increased overtime, resulting in yet another positive ROI.

  • Oracle Hyperion allows us to automate and consolidate financial data that used to be performed manually in spreadsheets. From that perspective the ROI is huge.
  • Oracle Hyperion functionality is extensive and allows us to perform most functions for planning, consolidating and reporting on our financial data.
  • One negative with Oracle Hyperion is that it is complicated to implement and maintain. It takes expertise at all levels (infrastructure and management) to realize the benefits from it.

  • We had to get the planning application designed correctly before we got a good ROI, but once we did it became well liked and highly utilized.
  • It has had a very positive overall impact on increasing finance literacy across campus, allowing units a better insight into their revenues and expenses and the overall planning process.
  • It has been an essential tool during a time where the campus needed to reduce it's budget by over 100 million dollars annually. Without this product, we would not have a way to identify, track and report on our progress reducing the budget.

  • It helped the key financial users to drill down to the transaction level from the Main General Ledger Accounts with ease. This helped the key finance users to have a better visibility of the transactions involved with any general ledgers.
  • Though there are few limitations with the product, it has best suited our client, as their requirement very well matches with what Oracle Hyperion EPM had to offer, which means it was a value for money initiative.

  • Using HFM has helped us to close and consolidate the books quicker while also providing the level of detail that we need for supplemental disclosures and reports to the market. What used to be a very manual process of sending spreadsheets around has become centrally managed within HFM and we are able to pull the information we need directly from it.
  • Using Essbase has given our accounting teams tremendous insights into transaction details which has helped with account reconciliations and troubleshooting errors during the close process.
